Food: 3 Decor: 4 Service: 4 I came here with my gf for dinner Saturday around 7pm http://www.yelp.com/biz_photos/ginoUhUXb6CB8cZjdZUm9w?userid=2fN8mN7uUjOw-QqtcgYqXQ#li3DR1yyUy3Rwvfr0kFsgQ. 1. Chilean sea bass with lemon butter, 24 Okay. Sea bass was cooked well, but it was rather bland. http://www.yelp.com/biz_photos/ginoUhUXb6CB8cZjdZUm9w?userid=2fN8mN7uUjOw-QqtcgYqXQ#yOS9vBkbC56nO-mRCER22Q 3. Probably the most authentic dish we ordered, but it was too dense and dry. Would have been better by replacing the strawberry sauce with more fruit and something more moist (maybe ice cream). Service was good.

I wanted to try the restaurant tonight with my family and one other guest, total party size of 4 people. I tried booking a table through OpenTable, however NOTHING is available until 7:30p on Monday, March 28th 2022. Ok, no big deal, I'll just call the restaurant. I called the restaurant at 847-715-9440, listened to the menu and tapped on 1 for reservations. After 10-20 rings, I was promptly told by the automated phone system that I had selected an invalid mailbox. First sign that the restaurant doesn't care about its customers (or future customers). I tried a second time, and tapped on 0 (zero) for "all other" inquiries, I expected the same treatment, but amazingly someone answered. I asked about availability for an 8pm reservation, and was immediately told they were closing at 4pm. No why, wherefore, thank you for you interest, nothing pleasant about he interaction. I'm surprised they are closing so early on a FRIDAY, when lots of people go out. Makes me wonder why, .... For such an unusual closing hour, I would at a minimum have expected THE PAVILLION'S website to have indicated the early closing. Their website says they are open until 10p on Fridays and Saturdays, closed Sundays, and open until 9pm the rest of the week. The week as defined by their website does not include Monday, it's probably a safe bet they are closed on Mondays as well. (Full disclosure, Yelp shows them open 11a to 9p on Mondays.)

Impressive dinner at Pavilion! Honestly I didn't expect so much for this restaurant before I go, it's new in Northbrook area. Last Saturday I went there with my boyfriend, it's not a big restaurant but atmosphere is classy, small lounge looks nice too and serve variety of alcohol, they also have live music on specific days, its very nice to have dinner with live music, when we got there it was empty but right after one hour later, the whole restaurant was packed! It's a good place for late dinner during weekend too, since they open till 3am. Service was outstanding, our waitress is knowledgeable of the food and she was very nice! We ordered Lobster bisque for soup, it's a little too salty and didn't have too much lobster meat, but it's only 5 dollars, not bad to try. For main course I ordered sea bass and my boyfriend had salmon, didn't overcook my sea bass and it was a big portion. Dinner better than what I expected, we also order chocolate martini too, so overall I like this restaurant. Menu price is fair, not too expensive, food was standard, European style. There is another restaurant called Petergolf right next to Pavilion, it's a banquet hall and I think they do serve dinner too. Worth for 4 stars!

It's nice to be surprised and the Pavillion was a very pleasant and unexpected pleasure. The restaurant's roots seem to be Russian judging from the some of the help and other diners but the copious menu leans more to western Europe and the U.S. than to the east. Still, there are some eastern European dishes such a Rasputin Caviar Blini and Ukrainian Borscht but much of the menu is given to favorites such as Chilean Sea Bass, New York Strip Steak or Shrimp Tortellini Alfredo. The greater part of the menu is taken up by a marvelous assortment of hot and cold appetizers. Besides the caviar and borscht, one could choose Beef Carpaccio, Tuna Tartar, Crab Cake, Foie Gras or Artichoke Fritters, just to name a few. Indeed a good and interesting meal could be assembled from just the starters on this menu. We found the chef paid attention to the presentation as well as the flavor and service was attentive without being overbearing. Pavillion is certainly a good value and they currently have an $18, 3 course prix fixe dinner which is a steal.

Came here for dinner with the bf on a Saturday night. I wasn't a huge fan of the decor, but it was great otherwise. We ordered: - Trio double lamb chops - delicious. I ordered medium, but thinking back, I should've gotten it medium rare (I was warned that the medium might look well done, but I stuck with medium) - Chilean sea bass with lemon butter - really fresh and flaky and just well cooked - Sides, 2 with each entree: side salad had an amazing citrus dressing, veggies were nicely grilled, and we each got the fruit plate which turned out to be huge (we should've just gotten one to split) - Smetannik - just okay. The waitress recommended it and said that it's very authentic but may be an acquired taste. It wasn't horrible but it wasn't my fave, I just don't think the strawberry sauce went well with it. Service was really sweet, I knocked over my salad dressing so they moved us to another table. Also kept my water glass full. We had a restaurant.com voucher which we had no trouble using.

This was an interesting place to say the least, very clean, looks brand new, staff was great, our server was friendly and took very good care of us. Food, well I've had better. Beef carpaccio was ok, steak was ok, not seasoned at all, interesting that food was plated very nice however it was not tasty, nor fresh, the only dish we all tried and agreed was very good and didn't disappoint was the beet salad. I don't think I will be back, it wasn't enjoyable at all.

Beef Stragonoff. A must have in your order!

The food tastes homemade and prepared with so much care and love. My daughter completely fell in love with the syrniki -- they were honestly some of the best we've had. I also tried the pumpkin soup, which instantly became my favorite. My husband ordered the Nordic omelet, and when my husband compliments food, trust me, that's the highest praise possible! One of the biggest highlights for us is the amazing play area for kids. Anyone who has breakfast with young children knows that once they're done eating, they want to run and play. Here, kids have a beautiful playroom where they can have fun while parents can actually relax and enjoy a great cup of coffee. Another thing we really appreciated was the wonderful staff. The girls who served us were incredibly friendly and welcoming. It was especially helpful that they spoke both English and Russian. My daughter doesn't speak much English yet, and my husband doesn't speak Russian, so having staff who could communicate with both of them made us feel even more comfortable and welcome. And a special thank you to the owners for being open on Mondays! So many places in Long Grove are closed at the beginning of the week, and it's such a treat to have somewhere cozy to enjoy a great breakfast. Highly recommend Fluffy Bunny to anyone looking for delicious food, great coffee, a family-friendly atmosphere, and a place that genuinely makes you feel at home.

I was ready to start sharing with friends/family but I'm glad I waited. The restaurant is tucked into a historic house in long grove, so the layout/seating areas are cramped. The drink selection is limited and my wine was warm. Our food came and they completely forgot my husband's side of roasted vegetables, so he ate just a steak with raw button mushrooms atop. My salad was great, filling, and flavorful. My great assumption and hope is that they make the roasted turkey in house. But it was very similar to thick cut lunch meat. Our server was very slow to check in and with the previously mentioned misses, we left a bit underwhelmed.

On a weekday evening, as expected, the restaurant was not busy.  We were promptly seated at a 4-top table (2 × 2-top) against the right wall, with some other 2-tops on both sides.  Like many reviewers had mentioned, the venue was beautiful, modern and chic. There were 7 tables occupied, including us.  The music that they had was not too loud, just that customers' conversations were amplified by the box shape open dining area.  If we focused enough, we could hear every conversation if we wanted to.  This was obvious when a table of about 6 women got seated at a table near the front door, some of them laughed and talked very loudly.  My husband and I just found it funny and didn't let that bother us.  However, when the restaurant is filled on busier days, it might be a different story. Our server, Patrick, was very nice and attentive.  Since they did not list drinks on their menu except those with alcohol, I asked him about non-alcoholic drinks.  After a brief "discussion", he asked me to leave it to him to make me a drink with mango.  He came up with a beautiful drink that was good and refreshing, with some mango flavor.  It was Virgin Paloma on our receipt for $8, which was reasonable.  He was very polite and checked in on us several times at appropriate times during our dinner.  The pace of the dinner was good, we spent a total of an hour and 15 minutes in the restaurant. Patrick might be the only waiter serving all the tables that evening, though. I also ordered Grilled Octopus ($22) which was very good, tender and flavorful, but was a little too salty to my taste.  The small pita bread wedges were warm and fluffy with some crispy edges, the beet hummus was creamy, and everything was delicious and tasted fresh.  I generously shared 2 little bites of octopus with my husband and I finished the entire plate, it was so good!  My husband really liked his Spiked White Fish ($29) and I shared a bite of that too.  He also had a House Salad for $6, that was a very good value.  He enjoyed a glass of Sauvignon Blanc Crossing ($12) too.  We also shared an order of Crème Brulee ($8), that was creamy and cooked perfectly.  We ordered a takeout order of Rigatoni with Sausage ($23), that was a good portion, and was still delicious and al dente the next day after being microwaved. I am so happy that we found Social Inn - a hidden gem in Plaza del Prado, it's not far from home, with comfortable and beautiful ambiance, excellent service (from Patrick), an attractive menu with enticing food (fresh ingredients and appealing plating), and reasonable prices, we will definitely be back!

I do wish they were open at lunch time still, but I understand they need to be open for their busiest hours. Social Inn is a great option when you are in the Glenview area.

Admittedly, I'm not an expert in Polish cuisine, but this restaurant has greatly increased my interest in trying more! Outside of the food, there's many things to like about this restaurant. The decor is nice and modern, and the presentation of the food is good for this price point. The restaurant is comfortable and good for sitting in for a while, with service that is extremely friendly. This reminds me of another excellent restaurant A Thousand Tales, where we are treated like family on every visit - even on the first visit there. It's very clear how proud the staff is of the restaurant and the food they serve, and they take the effort to explain the food to the diner. Fortunately, the food is just as good as it looks. I've been looking for food that's prepared from scratch with high quality ingredients that aren't reliant on heavy sauces, and this really hit the mark. Everything from the bread with herbs and butter to the delicious soups was prepared fresh and tasty. Similarly, with the chips and salsa - it was clear that this was homemade with a great flavor to match. Unsurprisingly, the pastor tacos were full of flavor, with a generous amount of slightly fatty pork, fresh cilantro, and onions served with fresh lime. These were some of the best tacos I've had in recent memory from any restaurant, and I am definitely a huge fan of the preparation (the sweetness of the pineapple juice perfectly matched the bold mix of spices). The sampler platter was also a great option which gave a mix of many different items. The goulash was delicious with the mushrooms and sautee pepper. The pierogis had the perfect firmness and delicious filling. The sausage was flavorful and juicy. The potato pancakes could've been a bit more crisp but the flavor was still good. The breaded pork schnitzel was tasty and had just the right amount of breading. Overall, definitely recommend going to this spot for anything that's looking for high quality made from scratch food at a reasonable price point. The great service and elegant interior is a bonus on top of a very enjoyable and filling meal.
