Our 2018 wedding was absolutely perfect at Pavilion on Crystal Lake. CT Wedding Group are the best wedding planners you can ask for - and the food served is incredible! We still have guests to this day who rave about how amazing the food was!! The staff decorates everything so well and does a great job incorporating your floral arrangements with some of the decor they have in-house. When the bridal party was off taking photos, the staff brought over cocktails & all the passed hors d'oeuvres so that we all could enjoy and didn't miss cocktail hour! The staff here is truly on their A game and makes your wedding day run smoothly. Definitely puts you at ease as the bride! Couldn't recommend them more! read more

Wow is all I can say! Our daughter's wedding was this past Saturday. I would rate the service received a 20/10 if I could. Our experience with the Connecticut Wedding Group was nothing short of extraordinary. They stay with you - and on top of every detail - every step of the way. They practically ENSURE that you don't miss any details. Along the way they checked in monthly with the couple to ensure planning was on track. A couple of days before the wedding you do a walk through at your venue with your "day of" coordinator. We were BLESSED to have Sean as ours (Eddie was his assistant) and they were the best of the best. We managed to get our ceremony in outside and the skies opened the second the last guest entered the pavilion for the cocktail hour. The entire wait staff, bar staff and every single employee was smiling and helpful the entire time. They work with your budget to give the couple the day they envision. Do not hesitate to use them. On 9-21-18, my husband and I got married at the Pavilion and it was stunning! We were so pleased with the beautiful decorations and fresh New England setting. Allie was our day-of coordinator and she went above and beyond to make sure everything went perfectly and smoothly. Lexi was also wonderful, she hand delivered our hors d'oeuvres and was very pleasant and friendly. The food was also fantastic, especially the corn chowder and the blazing donuts! I am beyond pleased with my wedding which took place at the Pavilion on Crystal Lake. When I sought out a wedding venue, I had some criteria and the Pavilion on Crystal Lake fit them all. *only one wedding a day/ nothing going on there besides my wedding - check *beautiful outdoor ceremony space - check *rustic space that was refined and updated - check What really blew me out of the water was the amazing service I received from day one. Anytime I had a question, and trust me I had a lot of questions, I was promptly answered and always felt at ease with the planning. Also, the food was unbelievable. Multiple guests told me how it was the best food they had and how plentiful it was throughout the night. I was lucky enough to have one of the most gorgeous, mild summer days that most brides dream of, so the ceremony was beautiful outside and our photographer took advantage of the weather and gorgeous grounds to take some breathtaking shots. I attended a wedding here recently and was blown away at how beautiful the grounds are. The building where the reception took place felt like we were in a barn, but had lights strung up everywhere and views of the lake. It was really beautiful. The staff were all friendly and nice. Also they were really paying attention to detail as even the woman who I believe was the wedding planner/events director came over and neatly folded up a napkin of a guest that had just gotten up so that it looked picture perfect. The food was pretty decent. I had the beef short ribs and it was tender and pretty good. The doughnut bar was by far the best thing I have seen at a wedding yet tho! The parking area was a bit torn up and you can tell they are doing some work to the lot to improve it. Great place. read more

I attended a wedding at the Pavilion where the ceremony took place at a gazebo in the woods. We then moved inside for the reception. The space had a rustic feel to it with wooden floors and wood paneled wooden walls with one wall entirely of windows overlooking the lake. Tables were nicely set. A table was set out in the outdoor patio overlooking the lake with an mix of cheeses, fruit etc. In addition, servers came around with variety of hors d'ouevres that were consistently excellent. There was an open bar with some top shelf liquors available though I stuck with the house wine that was good. Three different entrees were offered with mine a vegetarian lasagna those served in better Italian restaurants. Others at our table had either short ribs or stuffed flounder which were reportedly very good as well. I cannot say enough about the Pavilion on Crystal Lake and the CT Wedding Group. We worked with Jenna, Marybeth, and Samantha. All of the wedding planners are friendly, thoughtful, and they have an impeccable attention to detail. They supported us in every little detail and made sure we had everything we needed in planning and especially on our wedding day! Samantha went out of her way to make sure we were taken care of... and not just my husband and I. She took care of all of our guests and my Dad is still raving about her! He asked our wedding photographer if he could take a picture of them together! All of our guests said how delicious and fresh all of the food was. We didn't get to eat dessert because we were having too much fun dancing- so the girls packed up trays of everything for us to take home! We live about an hour and 1/2 from the venue. At first, I was unsure we'd be able to make all of our detail meetings and coordinate everything from a distance. However, immediately after booking, I never once questioned our decision to go with the Pavilion. They worked with us to make sure we didn't have to drive up for meetings unnecessarily and they worked seamlessly with our florist and photographer, too. We used powerstation (preferred vendor) and they did an amazing job with the powerstation DJ we chose. I recommend the Pavilion and all the wedding planners at CT wedding group to anyone that will listen! read more

My fiancé and I booked this location the first week of March for our wedding that was to be had next June and put down 1,500 to secure our spot. In the beginning of April during the middle of the Global pandemic we are in. After this place emailed us multiple times asking for more money and after learning that my fiancé was now pregnant we decided to cancel the wedding as to not hold a spot for the venue but also we needed to spend our money elsewhere with our first child coming into the world. We attempted to try and get our 1,500 deposit back, and we thought that seeing how we gave them well over a year to rebook our day and time and that we were in the middle of a pandemic with millions and millions of people like us young homeowners and soon to be first time parents they would be kind enough to work with us and we would simply re book at a later time when we had more funds to have the wedding we wanted. Needless to say the unprofessionalism and cold hearted nature of the people running this establishment (CT wedding Group) is Appalling. The CFO (Jonathan) even had the audacity to accuse my fiancé of "cat fishing" and creating a fake email account to see if they rebooked our original wedding day. When in reality we have a lot of friends looking to get married and I can assure you they will not be doing so here!! While 1,500 may not seem like the end of the world, that's a lot of baby supplies that we need. While yes a contract was signed, times like these require us as people to be more kind and understanding towards each other. Please don't waste your time, money on these pathetic excuse for a venue and wedding company! read more

I attended my second wedding at the Pavilion on Crystal Lake this past weekend. I have to say this is one of my favorite wedding venues. Not only is the staff friendly but they are knowledgeable and efficient. I have only been to fall weddings there and it has been a bit chilly outside but they offered the bride a blanket which was very helpful. The food isn't the best, but its not bad by any means. It was my first time in the little side room as a bridesmaid, it was small which was fine but I wish they had offered more food. read more

Not so hot looking from the outside. Nice view of the lake, but it is not a very impressive lake. Food is average, portions average. It's part of a club and not as high end as some other wedding venues I have been to. All in All OK, not great, not bad. read more
