We were on vacation in Cape Cod. We decided to try this place. You have to park on the street or across the street in a lot a block away. I love that it is authentic Indian. The place was not packed but you could see a ton of to go orders. It then got a few groups coming in so the place was busy and a bit slow. However the food was fantastic. We ordered garlic naan bread, Butter chicken and Lamb Vindaloo. We both ordered medium to Hot Spicy but it both came out mild. So we assumed they forgot. We did ask them to get us a side of spicy. The food was all tasty and plenty of it. We did end up ordering an extra rice to go so we can have it with left overs. I had a chai and it was delicious. There were only 1 server and one helper. It was definitely not enough but they did pretty good considering how busy they were. They could use an extra help. Ambiance was good. The bathroom area needs a bit of attention. read more

Very nice location on the main street. I ordered the lamb saag, and my wife ordered the butter chicken. The saag was good, but was warm, not hot when served. My wife said the chicken was tasty, sufficiently warm, and she appreciated that it was cut in small pieces. I was so surprised there were so few diners in there tonight. The food and service are wonderful! The ambiance was excellent with quiet music and polished tables. The ceiling needs to be renewed, but that's a minor observation. My husband thoroughly enjoyed his chicken and coconut dish, and I loved my lamb in a nut and raisin sauce. Both dishes had plentiful white rice in separate bowls, and the servings of the entrees were filled to the top of their bowls. We also enjoyed Naan with raisins and nuts and coconut inside. They were so good! We drank the mango lassis made with yogurt. Everything was wonderful. We'll definitely be back! They also list vegetarian, gluten free, and nut free food on the menu. I love the new Pavilion! The new owners are friendly and genuinely interested in making sure your dining experience is wonderful. They offer a great lunch combo where you choose an entrée and the chef adds a second one. Portions are massive, and the flavors are fantastic. The naan is excellent, too. I am so happy the newest owners have elevated this long time restaurant to such a high level. We have crazy schedules so take out has been our thing here. Every time I get either the Shrimp Mango, Lamb Korma or Chicken Korma, the first mouthful transports me to food heaven! I'd like to try much more but it just calls to me. Do try the Apricot Date Naan as a real treat too. We have been very happy with our many experiences here and hope to eat in someday soon too. We're also fortunate to be able to order off hours & avoid the Saturday night pressure & get all the attention!! I showed up to pick up our order, and woman who claimed she was the owner told me our food would be ready in 5 min. Twenty minutes later -- and 90 minutes after placing our order -- she tried to claim we had already picked up the food a half hour earlier. She eventually acknowledged they gave our order to the wrong person and told me to sort out the cancellation myself with Grubhub. I insisted they handle cancellation and print up a receipt showing the order had been cancelled. She first said she couldn't do that but, after some discussion, she grudgingly did it. No apology for giving away our food and messing up our evening. read more

We have been going here for a long time and the food has always been good it the new owners have really stepped it up. There's a new drink menu with lots of options. The menu has been expanded and everything we've tried has been great. Last night we had the aloo tiki chaat. It was very flavorful and crispy. We then had lamb saag and chicken korma. Both were delicious, the meat in both was tender and the sauces were delicious and generous. The rice was perfect and slightly spiced to make it extra yummy. The service is always friendly. The spice level medium would be no spice at all at other restaurants, so go spicy if you like a bit of spice! I also love cilantro garnishes on their butter chicken and Korma. Absolutely delicious! Some of the best Indian food I've had. We ordered garlic naan, potato naan, shrimp korma, saag paneer, and chicken tikka masala, and everything was packed with flavor and tasted incredibly fresh. The portions were generous, perfect for sharing or taking leftovers home. The restaurant feels like a hidden gem--definitely underrated for the quality of food they serve. I'm an absolute ho for Indian food and I was really excited when we walked by this place on Main St. I ordered delivery after a long day of work. I spent a few years living in central Mass aka an Indian expat mecca so solid Indian food was a dime a dozen. I ordered my standard order: veggie samosas, saag paneer, dal makhani, veggie biryani, garlic naan, and mango lassi. Expectations were high. Veggie samosas were excellent. The filling was plentiful and tasty. The dough was ever so slightly undercooked. The dal makhani was pretty good but had more onions than I would have preferred. The saag paneer was not creamy whatsoever which is fine because I don't need the calories or the atherosclerosis but it had a very strange flavor and I wasn't a fan. Veggie biryani had the literal biggest pieces of onion I've ever seen in a dish. I actually legit thought the onions were potatoes at first, can you imagine? Other than onions, there wasn't as much in the way of veggies: one MAYBE two cauliflower florets, maybe 1/4 of a pepper. There were also chickpeas and cashews which were a welcome addition. Garlic naan was strattling regular bread texture too closely. Also, what garlic? You could convince me I ordered regular naan because there was no garlic flavor. The mango lassi was DELICIOUS. We ate at Pavilion Indian last night for the first time in 10 years of coming to the Cape. We were always curious about this place but it seemed there was never anyone in the restaurant so we were suspect. This year, we checked the reviews on line and they were great along with the mention there were new owners so we gave it a try. Super glad we did as it was delicious and the staff could not have been nicer. Almost every table was taken along with a brisk take out business. Being vegan/vegetarian, we had the okra, aloo gobi and garlic naan. Delicious and thoughtfully prepared. Love the chapati and dips they bring the minute you sit down.... Thank you for a great meal! My daughter and I just had the most delicious dinner at Pavilion Indian! We both took our first bite of the butter chicken and had the same reaction...AMAZING! The veggie samosa was yummy and the potato and garlic nan were outstanding! My first time trying marsala tea and will definitely order it again. Went here on a Sunday night so it was quiet. The food is delicious! Really good, so fresh. Heard that they were under new management on NPR radio so I thought to try with a friend visiting from Cambridge. She knows Indian food and was as impressed as much as I was. Will definitely go back again. The only thing I could suggested was that they lower the lighting in the evening, just makes for a cozier more inviting atmosphere but that's really minor thing considering the quality of the food. read more
