The food has more so home-cooked vibes and less restaurant, food court appeal but the pricing is pretty fair. $6 for an omelette and they have a pachamama located in the cafe

3$ for a "scoop of eggs" and salsa. Was too committed to the transaction to say never mind.

Service is really fast and food is ok to good. It is what you would expect from a cafeteria

I often visit here during lunch hours. I do understand that during that time, I can expect this (or any cafe) to be busy. You have a mixture of different people here for different reasons.... Nurses, doctors, visitors, and maybe some random people that wants to eat there. The food is pretty consistent, like the burgers, fries, salad bar, soups, pizzas, etc..... And for the most part, all the food they make is pretty good as far as taste and quality. What is a hit or miss is the food workers behind there. Some, though they have worked there for a long time, still can't manage their time. There are some cooks that are slow and MOVE slow. Really nothing to do with safety, or under/over cooked food. It seems like their soul is not in their body at work. Example: I'm in line and I order just regular fries, the 7 people ahead of me orders burgers (and burgers are being cooked), there is fries readily available for you to serve, PLEASE give me my fries! It'll cut my time to pay and eat, rather than watching you watch the burgers being cooked and standing there for minutes on end. Do something, multi-task!

this is UCDMC's cafeteria. i am only going to mention the overnight schedule as that's what I'm familiar with. the cafeteria closes at 8PM and re-opens briefly from 11PM until 12AM serving cold sandwiches, freshly baked pizza, soup of the day, a salad bar, drinks (bottled, canned & soda fountain) including coffee & tea and other packaged food items. they open the doors again from 1AM to 4AM but this time the grill is open for items such as burgers, omelets, fries & breakfast fare. they also serve hot food of the day near the salad bar. i know for sure they always have Taco Tuesdays and they serve lamb shawarma and lamb curry on other days.

This hospital cafeteria is very good with different cooking stations like GRILL, HOT WOK , PIZZA, COFFEE, ROTISSERIE. My son was there for a couple of weeks and I actually stayed with him from morning to night so this was my "TO GO" kitchen for food. Quality very good and the staff there are quick and friendly. Hours open for Breakfast , Lunch , Dinner and Late Night don't know the exact times. They also have a salad bar , hot soups and lots of items ready to grab and go. It's a Meal Deal here Thanks

Best cafeteria for hospital that I had ever visit. On St. Patty's day they had breakfast special with really cheap special price. So, if you're by chance to be around UCD hospital, try their breakfast or lunch or dinner or a snack.

The reason not to give 5 stars is because they took the Tomato Bisque off the menu. That was by far the best soup they had.

Every table is full and there is a line of 10-15 groups snaking around the restaurant. The vibes are immaculate though, a dusty pink theme throughout with consistent cartoonish drawings on their cups, coffee beans, and signage. So many people, dogs, and babies. I do think this is a millennial and up age group, not many younger folks. They do have quite a bit of staff working hard behind the counter. On a cold gloomy day, this place is extremely cozy with the large bright windows. There is also seating outside! The horchata cold brew really does taste like cereal milk in the best way. The coffee flavor is actually very mild, but that may be a symptom of oat milk flavor taking over. Frequently referred to as the best breakfast sandwich in Sacramento, this place had my standards sky-high. The breakfast sausage and egg was definitely unique - the textures were all fluffy and soft, the brioche bun and folded egg omelette. The cheese was light but flavorful and the sauce balanced everything out nicely. I would say this is a solid breakfast sandwich, more untraditional, and definitely a must try if you're interested. We also ordered a salmon and lox everything bagel sandwich that was also delicious! I would have loved a bit more smoked salmon for balance but the scallion dill cream cheese was super flavorful! I would say both sandwiches were on the milder side flavor-wise but still extremely good!

I think I came in with really high expectations because of all the reviews, so part of that might be on me. I originally thought it was a standalone coffee shop, but it's actually connected to Brickland Bistro. I went during a semi-morning/afternoon rush, so it was a bit busy, and the entrance to the café area did feel a little crowded. After ordering, there was a bit of a wait for our drinks since there were groups ahead of us. They didn't take names or give out order numbers, which made the process feel a little unorganized. I noticed some people who ordered after me ended up getting their drinks first. I tried their matcha latte with added vanilla. Personally, I found the milk overpowered the matcha, so it wasn't as strong as I usually prefer. My friend tried the coffee and she thought it was decent but nothing standout. On the positive side, the ambience is great if you enjoy darker, cozy spaces for studying or hanging out, and the staff was very kind and attentive. It seemed like they were doing their best despite being a new cafe and having a rush.

Scorpio was opened back in August 2020, with a clean and modern indoor space and some outdoor seating as well. We formed in line outside first and then moved inside to order at the register. Lavender Lemon Latte $7 I got the specialty drink, the lavender lemon latte. Made with Meyer lemon, Provence lavender, and espresso. Lemon spice was noticeable but the hint of lavender was too light. Oolong Tea $6 Husband ordered the milk oolong tea from Taiwan. The color of the tea was bright yellow, and the tea was great with a hint of honey. Lox Toast $17 We got the toast with cured salmon, herb cream cheese, mustard seeds, pickled red onion, and radish. The toast was crispy on the outside which was a little difficult to cut.
