Omelette

The food has more so home-cooked vibes and less restaurant, food court appeal but the pricing is pretty fair. $6 for an omelette and they have a pachamama located in the cafe

Service is really fast and food is ok to good. It is what you would expect from a cafeteria

3$ for a "scoop of eggs" and salsa. Was too committed to the transaction to say never mind.

I often visit here during lunch hours. I do understand that during that time, I can expect this (or any cafe) to be busy. You have a mixture of different people here for different reasons.... Nurses, doctors, visitors, and maybe some random people that wants to eat there. The food is pretty consistent, like the burgers, fries, salad bar, soups, pizzas, etc..... And for the most part, all the food they make is pretty good as far as taste and quality. What is a hit or miss is the food workers behind there. Some, though they have worked there for a long time, still can't manage their time. There are some cooks that are slow and MOVE slow. Really nothing to do with safety, or under/over cooked food. It seems like their soul is not in their body at work. Example: I'm in line and I order just regular fries, the 7 people ahead of me orders burgers (and burgers are being cooked), there is fries readily available for you to serve, PLEASE give me my fries! It'll cut my time to pay and eat, rather than watching you watch the burgers being cooked and standing there for minutes on end. Do something, multi-task!

this is UCDMC's cafeteria. i am only going to mention the overnight schedule as that's what I'm familiar with. the cafeteria closes at 8PM and re-opens briefly from 11PM until 12AM serving cold sandwiches, freshly baked pizza, soup of the day, a salad bar, drinks (bottled, canned & soda fountain) including coffee & tea and other packaged food items. they open the doors again from 1AM to 4AM but this time the grill is open for items such as burgers, omelets, fries & breakfast fare. they also serve hot food of the day near the salad bar. i know for sure they always have Taco Tuesdays and they serve lamb shawarma and lamb curry on other days.

This hospital cafeteria is very good with different cooking stations like GRILL, HOT WOK , PIZZA, COFFEE, ROTISSERIE. My son was there for a couple of weeks and I actually stayed with him from morning to night so this was my "TO GO" kitchen for food. Quality very good and the staff there are quick and friendly. Hours open for Breakfast , Lunch , Dinner and Late Night don't know the exact times. They also have a salad bar , hot soups and lots of items ready to grab and go. It's a Meal Deal here Thanks

The reason not to give 5 stars is because they took the Tomato Bisque off the menu. That was by far the best soup they had.

High ceiling with low and high seatings with tables and outside seatings as well. You can order to go and come to pick up. We saw lots of ppl do that. Or for there, you can order on the kiosk or with the counter cashier. Food and coffee orders were amazing. Such great flavors and large portions. We would come back again if we were in the area. Pricing is not cheap but we think it's worth it. Loco moco with Kim chi?!?! Never had this combo before and will need to have it again. Longanesa egg sandwich, I want to have that every day. The flavor combo was soo good that it's been a week since I had it, I want it again. Recommend for sure!

The people that work there were so cool! I'm thinking about moving to the area and they were really great about giving me a lot of suggestions of neighborhoods to look at. It seems that they specialize in a lot of iced flavored coffees, as that is what I saw most of the people that were there when I was getting. I just wanted a latte with a little bit of honey and cinnamon. Was kind of surprised that they don't carry cinnamon at their shop, that's a coffee shop staple. I did enjoy the latte, though, the roast on the beans was very nice. The vibe in this old home is so cool, lots of people just chatting and hanging out. Was a really great place to pass a little time in a beautiful neighborhood. I would return to this coffee shop. I didn't try any of the pastries that were available, but I did see a case with a selection.

Wanted to try this place because of the YouTube channel, Feed MeiMei…read more The Cold Brew with Hojicha Foam was delicious and was described perfectly by our front girl. The Black Sesame French Toast was fantastic! We also got the Date-Orange Latte and the Salted Honey Lavender Latte, both tasted great! Our three drinks took less than 10 minutes, and I think the French Toast took exactly ten minutes. Not long at all, and it was busy when we were there(11am). My order was to-go, and they were all perfectly packaged! I so appreciate the front girl answering all my silly questions, the efficiency of the team, getting to watch the man in the kitchen do his work, and the clean and inviting presence of the place. My daughter brought in her baby milk and spilt some, only for one of the guys to clean it up quickly. I so appreciate you guys!! There was a challenge, as I also spoke with the front girl about, but parking is competitive. All the parking spots were taken. Some parking spots were reserved for the neighboring businesses, so I found parking on the roadside. Is it possible to expand the parking lot? It's tough to give patronage to this great business with this challenge. I suppose it's a good problem to have when many people want to come here ;)

My drink wasnt too sweet which I prefer. The hojicha latte was great as well! You don't see this often if at all so it was a pleasant surprise. The service was friendly and they were patient when I had questions on the standard vs the "twice" drinks. They have a shared parking lot which helps as they are off a busy stretch of road. The cons: They do not have size options for their beverages. Which for the most part isn't an issue except when I wanted a large drink. Which is why I bought 2. They partnered with Pastry Cat and unfortunately the common theme was they never had pastries even in 9am window. Not their fault but maybe partnering with a patisserie that offers consistent inventory might be worthwhile? The ambience is less "come and enjoy your drink" and more "we don't have enough seating"and use the space efficiently. I think if they update the layout of the tables and chairs, it would feel more inviting to sit for a bit or meet up with friends. The parking lot. It's terrible, crowded and people don't know how to park. I saw a couple of cars almost back into eachother while waiting and I was grateful I parked on the street and walked. Overall, the quality of the drinks and the friendliness are great and that receives 4 stars. If you want a quality matcha drink then give them a try. But I have access to other cafes that meet my needs; enough that Offbeat will be more of an off the beaten path option than a regular one.

There are many coffee and tea selections as well as some pastries in the front section and waffles. It comes with powdered sugar all over the top and your choice of jam or maple syrup. I went with the jam and I really enjoyed the waffle with it. The coffee was of very high quality. I had the cold brew with their sweet cream on the top. The cold brew was strong and the cream had a premium stiffness to it that standard coffee places don't do. It was not very sweet and for those who enjoy their coffee with less sugar, this is great. I found the coffee enjoyable throughout my time with it as I sat in the cafe hanging out with my friend. Another thing I appreciated was how spacious it was. There were plenty of tables and room to spread out, which was perfect since I came with my kiddo. She loved the open space and even turned it into her own little dance floor while I enjoyed my coffee for a bit. Their menu isnt overwhelming and only has a few selections, theres good pastries to try out as well. Coffee was alright and the pastries were ok, overall I guess I was just more distracted by the business's set pieces. I think I came in with really high expectations because of all the reviews, so part of that might be on me. I originally thought it was a standalone coffee shop, but it's actually connected to Brickland Bistro. I went during a semi-morning/afternoon rush, so it was a bit busy, and the entrance to the café area did feel a little crowded. After ordering, there was a bit of a wait for our drinks since there were groups ahead of us. They didn't take names or give out order numbers, which made the process feel a little unorganized. I noticed some people who ordered after me ended up getting their drinks first. I tried their matcha latte with added vanilla. Personally, I found the milk overpowered the matcha, so it wasn't as strong as I usually prefer. My friend tried the coffee and she thought it was decent but nothing standout. On the positive side, the ambience is great if you enjoy darker, cozy spaces for studying or hanging out, and the staff was very kind and attentive.
