I had a unique job to replace a pool deck for a home I purchased. For some reason, previous owners…read moreinstalled concrete tiles on top of the original Kool Deck (it was water proof and looked nice, but way too slippery and dangerous for humans and pets when wet). I asked two companies to see what my options were. One company said they would get back to me, and did not. The other was Kevin, who personally came out to see the job and straight up told me the only option was to rip up the tiles due to nothing being able to bond to the tile (and also added he had never seen this surface put on a pool in his 30 years of working on pool decks). Kevin was very prompt, up front about what costs would be and gave me a great price on also adding a rail to the project. With each phase of the project, we were able to communicate what was found under the tile, answered my questions about potential add ons (new drains), costs, how it would potentially affect other aspects of the area (screened in cage) and time it would take to do so. He also took to the time to give me potential pricing on other concrete issues I have on the property. There is a reason his website states his company is "affordable" and "no job is too big, or too small." Very happy with the finished product and now feel comfortable with having guests enjoy the pool. I highly recommend Kevin and his crew for any work needed in regards to pools decks and concrete projects.

After three years in our new house we could no longer tolerate the concrete driveway and walkway…read morethat were riddled with cracks and stains. It was time for pavers. We met with and got estimates from three contractors. All had installed pavers for neighbors and all had received high marks. We chose Justin Canova of Moderna Pavers because he was direct, professional, and fairly priced. He inspired confidence. From start to finish throughout the project, Justin was a pleasure to work with. He is helpful and 100% reliable, something that cannot often be said of contractors. The pavers were delivered on time, in the right color and quantity. His crew installed them perfectly and in record time. What's more, they cleaned up thoroughly before leaving. Justin delivers an outstanding experience and product.

I noticed some sunken spots in the driveway and called Moderna a week ago to see about repairs. An answering service picked up during regular business hours and I left a message for them to call me. No one bothered to call back. I'm disappointed in the fact that the driveway has sunk in spots and more so that the company couldn't even return the call. Follow up is just as important as the main job at least to me it is. I have another company coming out to give me a repair estimate. Update: I am upgrading my review as the issue was a communication issue through a third party. Justin was willing to come out and do the repair with no hesitation. Just about every contractor out there is backed up with projects due to COVID and Moderna was no different so to leave the poor review was not appropriate since it was a poor communication issue.
