In addition to the wall repair. I wanted to modify our entertainment center to accommodate a larger tv. Richard's company could do both projects and the estimate was reasonable. Both projects were completed in 3 days and turned out great. This company is highly recommended and provided professional service.

Richard was one of five builders I contacted in the area. One of them, a more well-known name…read morelocally, dismissed my project as something they were "too busy" to take on. Although Richard's quote wasn't initially the lowest, his vision aligned closely with mine from the beginning. He collaborated with me and improved on my initial design, always focused on enhancing the final result. He also suggested practical ways to manage costs--like having me purchase certain furnishings--without compromising the quality or look I wanted thus providing a finished product well below every other quote I was provided by others. Admittedly the project was unique as a hidden speakeasy, but he approached it as something fun and unique. In the end, I can't imagine any of the other builders delivering the same level of craftsmanship and commitment to the original vision that Richard did.

I had a screened in enclosure around my pool that was extremely old. It was chalky looking and…read moremost of the screens needed replacing. I found Scott on a local neighborhood app and had him come out to let me know what my options were. He gave me the cost to replace all the screens and then a separate quote to replace the whole enclosure. We decided to replace the whole enclosure. He recommended a "panoramic" view on the sides to allow for better viewing of the pond we live on. He went above and beyond to keep me informed as I was not living in the area at the time. He worked side by side with my pool renovation contractor to keep the job moving smoothly. My screened in enclosure turned out beautiful. I would recommend Building 904 and Scott to anyone who needs a new screened in enclosure, to repairing and anything in between. Thank you Scott for my gorgeous view.

Long overdue review! Birken Flooring was my intro into home renovation services. My realtors…read morecompany have a great relationship with Steve from Birken Flooring and his brother is with Birken Construction. Steve is the type of contractor you dream of meeting- honest, insightful and knows the business and all the connecting companies to do anything in general contracting. They have done plenty of residential work over the years and some big ticket venues like remodeling the Jags locker room, or renovating the bathrooms at the Jacksonville Symphony. AND MORE! Steve handled my flooring and gave me so many recommendations for other projects- from electrical to plumbing to where to find the best countertops! I've come to rely on "Steve the floor guy" recommendations! So- my floors! They only use quality products- we went with a wood laminate ProGen - Cerused Oak POWDER, 20 mil. As Steve put it- you could drop a bowling ball on it and it won't be damaged. It's also waterproof! This brand is highly recommended among reputable flooring companies. We didn't touch the bathrooms (they are tiled) but ripped up all the carpet and the tile in the kitchen and the entryway. I love my floors! Steve also had his "best tile" guys redo my fireplace with a weathered brick I bought from Floor & Decor. During renovations before we moved in Steve and I would just stand and stare at the beautiful fireplace once it was finished! It reminded him of his childhood home~ lovely sentiments. We have been in the house since February and still call Steve for recommendations and for work! His tiling guy will be doing my kitchen backsplash soon! Steve said to me- we treat our employees well and then they do exceptional work and our customers spread the word about our business. Birken Flooring isn't found on Google except for the business licensing- no website, just word of mouth! That's a true compliment to his work~ Highly Recommend!

I decided to focus on the bathrooms and had many estimates to just change out a tub to a total gut and tile. All were out of my price range. Then I got lucky and meet Silvia and Marco. I was discouraged and almost cancelled the appointment, but am I ever glad I didn't! They didn't tell me what they wanted to do and how to do it, they listened to what I wanted, what I could afford, and found a way to make it happen. They weren't out to make a buck, they wanted to make a beautiful product. I got to pick out everything. Their team was absolutely incredible. They were very professional throughout and such nice people. But the tile, plumbing, electrical, painting, all were just perfect. So great that I decided to do another bathroom and laundry room. They even fixed several mess ups from previous contractors. My first bathroom they gutted and remade perfectly for almost half the price of other estimates. I will certainly call them for my deck, my roof, my kitchen, all my next projects.

In some ways, how this story came about is something I'd like to forget! The morning Reunity was…read moreplacing a new window in the front bay section of the house, serious termite damage from years ago was discovered and the project had to immediately cease. Not sure of what to do, I asked the lead supervisor on the job, Gene, if he had any recommendations on a contracting company for me - here the recommendation for First Coast Contracting (FCC) came in. Not any of this companies fault, but the whole job took around 2-3 months to complete - waiting for permit approval created the longest delay. But I found the owner, Ray and supervisor, Jason, highly professional throughout the process. Thankful that Ray was patient with me when I messed up on a payment a couple of times. There was a lot of work to be done. I was surprised how young the first crew was. They tore down the things that needed replacing - repaired and replaced the header and necessary 2x4s excellently, as confirmed by the inspector. The process was rough for me mentally because dealing with two significant projects simultaneously brought great stress my way. But I persevered! I was there everyday throughout both FCC and Reunity's work and saw that all FCC teams that worked on the house preformed well. This included a tear down to reveal the extent of the damage, getting the boards, etc. to replace them, resealing the new installed plywood and siding in the end on the outside. There was one new sheet of plywood that needed to be installed on the interior, and Clovis handled that magnificently! There were a few quirks on times of arrival on a couple of occasions. This mostly was from the younger team, but I have no complaints about their work and neither did the inspector. I was going to write four stars for FCC, but after looking at only one challenge for me about them, I can keep it for five as I would use them again and they do the job fully and correctly. I'd only say too, that it is seemingly pricey. But I'm not an expert on how to rate them price-wise when compared to other contracting companies. People do get free estimates and FCC is highly rated on Google as well. Recommend: HIGH
