His work was meticulous, very professional, and he was careful to protect everything and left the kitchen cleaner than when he arrived. At the time, I learned Steve was qualified in many different trades as well as a general contractor. So, when I needed to replace my full glass back door with a half glass door (and pet door), I called Steve. The door he ordered was very high quality and he installed the pet door I supplied. On March 6, 2019 Steve of Proper T Renovations just finished repairing the rotted T1-11 siding on my 1980's house. He removed 16 inches of old siding along the entire front and 24 inches of old rotted siding along the entire back of the house and replaced it with Hardie Board. He then painted the entire exterior of the house. I couldn't be more pleased with his workmanship and professional handling of communication with me. I called several drywall contractors before contacting Steve. His was the best estimate and the total price of job was exactly that. The weather had been pretty cold so the drywall mud took extra long drying so it extended the job for Steve and his guys a week and he came back and checked on mud several times to make sure it was perfect. The job was done efficiently and exactly how we discussed. Trim job was great. Very happy with the work and time put in for a job well done. Would recommend for any job. read more

Steve came by the house, quoted price, let me know which days were available, then actually showed up to do the job at the quoted price! The work (replacing exterior door) was done quickly, looks great, and he cleaned up after the job. In St. Augustine, finding someone who will actually show up and do the work for the quoted price has been difficult. I recommend and have asked for additional work quotes. Steve and the Proper Renovations team repaired the walls and ceiling in my condo after I had the pipes replaced. They were prompt and professional and did a fantastic job - better than I had hoped for! Would I use them again? Absolutely! Steve has done some work for me in the past and I use him anytime I have some honey do's. He is on time with great communication before and during project. He is a wood working wonder!
