Dr. Paulson and staff are all extremely friendly. Both of my kids have been going to Dr. Paulson for over a year with Invisalign. During consultation, Dr. Paulson and staff were thorough and went over both options of braces and Invisalign giving me what was recommended for my kids. We have already completed their first stage and it is absolutely remarkable. The difference in the teeth alignment is absolutely amazing. My son's front teeth were turned in and it is completely straight now. Through out the year, every single appointment scheduled was on time and their entire staff were very accommodating. We had to make some changes to our scheduled appointments and the staff always returned my call and they always followed up with a text message. I would absolutely recommend Paulson Orthodontics. I'm writing this review as an adult patient who started having a pretty advanced open bite develop in my 20s. At that time I was in grad school and not in a financial position to address the problem and had to wait years until I could. I have congenitally missing adult teeth as well, so the combination made me unwilling to smile for pictures and embarrassed to laugh open-mouthed around people. When I was ready to tackle my teeth I was expecting to pay thousands, but I had other professionals quote me at 11k - 24k with one suggesting that 'probably' health insurance would cover the cost (and if not?!). They wanted to do surgery and do fairly intensive corrections to correct my teeth and bite. I finally found a dentist who understood I just wanted to be able to bite down on a sandwich and not leave the tomato behind, not be on TV! That dentist (Cesario) referred me here. Within one meeting I was overjoyed at how smoothly the consultation went. With Invisalign retainers and an 18 month (or so) payment plan, I was going to get braces for under 5k in very manageable payments. My only regret was not doing this sooner. After having a very negative experience at a different orthodontist in Redlands, I was facing the possibility of either: 1, having my braces on for several months longer than necessary or 2, having my braces removed by my original ortho and then finding someone else remove them elsewhere. Long story short, my original orthodontist was very unaccommodating and unwilling to help me. I'm moving in the beginning of January and told them 2-3 months before that that I would be leaving and unable to make my final appointment (since it was day I started my new job in Northern California). I posted on Facebook and SEVERAL people recommended Dr Paulson and his team. Dr Paulson personally messaged me and was incredibly accommodating and sympathetic to my situation. He was willing to get me in somehow the very next day, but I ended up waiting 3 days before going in. Everyone that I met here was friendly, kind and helpful. My only complaint is that I didn't hear about Paulson Orthodontics sooner and had to go through over a year of unfriendly service at the other ortho (on orange st., near vons) I highly recommend if you're in the area to go with Dr Paulson for your ortho needs. I will need to edit this review later in my treatment because today was only a consultation, but really impressed from my first impressions. Honest, competent, flexible, actively listened. I messed up on my appointment time and they still made it work. The X-ray equipment was extremely nice and up to date, much less pain than the equipment I've had to bite down on in other offices. Friendly and accommodating woman took my photos and and got my dental history. Dr. Paulson was very thorough with the consultation and made sure I understood what was needed in my treatment. Sometimes orthos/dentists are vague and misleading, but he was the opposite. The woman discussed payment options with me for treatment in a very clear manner and didn't apply any pressure. This was my first time at this dentists' office. The receptionist was a peach, but Dr. Lowe needs to learn how to treat his patients. He was so rude and demeaning towards me my entire visit-- I didn't even feel comfortable enough allowing him to work on me so, I didn't. I walked out, let the receptionist know, and left the entire building to write this review. I am a young adult black woman, which might be worth mentioning, although I have no idea if that had to do with why he acted this way towards me. Dr. Paulson, is not only a phenomenal orthodontist but an incredible humanitarian. He has held events at his dental practice for the community and his generosity is unbelievable. He truly is one of the most down to earth doctors you will ever meet. His newly renovated office is absolutely stellar! His staff, especially Lizz(forgive me if it's Liz) gave me 5 star phone treatment with educating me on dental PPO's, the ortho benefit and waiting period as well as dual coverage. Say what? My husband called a few other offices and not one informed him about any of this! I had told him from the get-go Dr. Paulson is who we're going with for our daughters orthodontic needs. His staff is extremely kind, respectful and attentive. They're incredibly friendly and it's not the fru-fru friendly with a "like OMG, hi, big smile, welcome" and then it's really noticeable that it's not truly a compassionate welcoming. Even on the phone. Our family are not his patients, yet. However, we will be and I can attest to that Dr. Paulson has been referred to me by a minimum of 12 different mothers! That to me is stellar. Was out here visiting family and my daughters back molar came out. She currently has braces and is a long way from home for the summer. Called and spoke with staff who were extremely helpful. Sandy was very kind to my daughter and was able to remove the tooth without cutting current braces or any other involved work. I love that even though we are 2000 miles away from home on vacation, Paulson Ortho was there to assist in such a minor issue. We went in for an evaluation for my son. He already has braces and about a year left on his treatment. We moved cities and are shopping around for an orthodontist, getting evaluations and pricing from various orthodontists. Most have been right around $1k. Paulson quoted us $5K FOR LESS THAN A YEAR OF TREATMENT THAT IS NEEDED. Either they think we are stupid, or they want to get as much as they can can out of you, or they just don't want the business. Either ways it's dishonest to inflate your pricing based on how much you want to bilk your customer for, not what is needing to be done. Definitely going elsewhere. Stay away. I had braces when I was in the 5th grade and back then, they said you could stop wearing your retainer after 2 years. Not surprisingly, my teeth have shifted a bit and are no longer perfectly straight. Dr. Paulson and his friendly staff made a new bottom retainer for me and are shifting my teeth back into place. I'm looking forward to having nice, straight teeth again. And, the price was a lot less than I thought it would be. The atmosphere in the office is really fun with a beach theme. The staff dress up from time to time and that really makes it fun for the patients (even the big ones). Also, I love to watch the little birds in the hedge outside while they are working on me, but I never get to do so for very long, because they are so quick!
