Candy the office manager is the biggest thief. She overcharged me $200 extra more than the negotiated rate with the insurance and she refused to give me my money back and when I called with the insurance, she's supposed to give me a report by Friday this Friday and then she refuse and she said she's gonna call the police on me if I call anymore I did call one more time. I wanted to know who is our boss and she said she she's calling the police so she doesn't know who she's dealing with. I took my wife to this dentist because another dentist recommended them because they had experience with implants. We went twice in a two year span, and all they did was take x-rays, and recommended she go somewhere else. No cleaning, and bad customer service, they will have you drive all the way there, and then keep me in waiting area for an hour while they do absolutely nothing. The best dentist I've had. Dr. Lupzchuk has done route canals and crowns on four of my teeth. He has saved my life. My mouth was riddled with infections and wracked by pain for years. He is a masterful mechanic of the mouth-an artist-skilled, experienced, attentive and efficient. George and Melissa are fabulous dental assistants too. Brookside billed my insurance for my daughters braces as phase II, so they could get paid, even though it was for phase 1. They told us at the time insurance would pay both phases so I thought nothing of it and I did not see how they billed my insurance. We have since taken my daughter to a new orthodontist and insurance is denying phase II because Brookside already billed for that and they only cover phase II, not phase I. I cannot get any answers from them as to why they did that. read more

Very upsetting. You make an appt and are rarely seen till 45-60 minutes after your time. Extremely sassy assistants. They are always ready to make you feel uncomfortable in the chair. They make it seem like your dental work is urgent but like to take there time in doing it in sessions. Very unprofessional and just gross people. Nobody likes the dentist but they don't make you feel calm or make sure you have a good experience they care less about you and more about the insurance money! Would like to give a minus star rating. Worst dental office experience ever. This office is a combination HMO/PPO office, but is a typical HMO office that takes full advantage of what they can get away with in terms of billing your insurance and out of pocket from patients. Specifically told them I did not want to have anything done that wasn't covered by insurance. They told me not to worry, they verified everything with my insurance before the appointment. They obviously did not because they're billing my for x-rays not covered by insurance. They called and asked if I could come in earlier as they had some cancellations. I went in an hour earlier than scheduled just to sit and wait for at least an hour. The Dr was rude and did not listen to my request to not to shoot air in to my teeth as my teeth are sensitive. He replied how are you going to have your teeth cleaned if I can't even tolerate the air? Told him I won't be because I'm done now. After two hours of being there, I'd had enough. On February 27, 2020 I had one chipped tooth. I didn't have pain, swelling or sensitivity. The "new to me" doctor examined my new xrays and told me that she did not see any inflamation. She said, "Since you complained of pain, you will need a Root Canal and a crown on the tooth beside the chipped one." I thought she was possibly with the wrong patient. I told her I did not complain of pain. I asked why I needed a Root Canal and a crown. She immediatley became defensive telling me basically its on me whether or not I have this "necessary" treatment. 05/31 11am I went to my appt Great Dentist and assistants Billing person Claudia ask me to go into her closet office and have a seat next to her gym bag While she fumbled with 2 large files of obviously unorganized papers I stated "I'll just start by having the 2 root canal and caps done at the bottom" (information I got from the doctor) this seemed to upset her as clearly the work would be done on her mouth and payment out of her pocket right. She picked up the phone saying "it has to be done next door at endo." (forgetting that it would first have to ring and someone would probably say hello) punched the numbers and said "Oh their on break" (apparently speaking to people who knew it was her and her question before she asked) and hung up. She stated "I'll call them when they get back to make your appointment and give you a call." I said "Can you write the number down for me and I'll call too just to make sure?" She started writing the number and it took her so long (to write the number that she had just supposedly dialed so quickly a second ago) that I said "You know what it's next door right it's probably on the door I'll just get it from there." She then changed the 9 to an 8 and handed me the piece of paper. I left. 05/31 2:29 I called next door endo. They hadn't heard from Claudia and didn't know anything about me. They also informed me that I would need the tooth numbers before putting me on hold and talking to the receptionist next door who gave her the information and she set my appointment. 06/02 12:40 I get a call from Claudia that she had contacted my insurance company on Wednesday the 31st and they hadn't approved the work to be done yet. So she had to cancel my appointment. I asked for the number she was calling so I could see what the hold up was and she gave me the number. 06/02 12:55 I call my insurance company and the representative tells me it takes no time to put the request in but there was no request or scan put through for me. I explain to her that the endo billing person Claudia said she put it through Wednesday and that was the day of my appointment. As we are talking she says "Oh wait, she is sending it now it's coming through." 06/02 1:04 I call and ask to speak to the doctor that owns the office "Dr. Lubczuk" Not his fault I'm sure he can't hire based on integrity. There's no way to know for sure. I call my insurance a few random times to see if it's approved yet. 06/15 I get a text saying I have an appointment 06/19 11am great (wait for it..........) 06/15 11:17am I call brookside dental endo office because I want to make sure I know what to do or bring. They have no appointment for me. "I have a text that I have an appointment for Monday 06/19 11am" They call next door to see what's going on. She tells me that I don't have an appointment to get the work done it's for a consultation with Claudia. Seriously, GET. THEE. FUCK. OUTTA HERE I would've drove about an hour only to find out this chick wants me to sit in that fucking coat closet and watch her fumble OMG "cash me outside with this bs" and an hour back not seeing the dentist. 06/15 I am now trying to find this man, I leave a message at his other office I'm furious. 06/15 11:23 I get transferred to Claudia and the soonest appointment she has is 06/30 an entire fucking month later. No mention of the consultation that was going to take up my gas, time and patience that so important that she sent me a text not knowing if I get billed for receiving text or not. I ask is there anything sooner. Guess what, . So I start calling around and complain to the receptionist about the bafoonery this is taking. 06/15 2:40 I get a call from Candy who refers me to a dentist in Rancho Cucamonga. If I could give MINUS stars I would. I called this dental office because I was referred to them by Denti-cal who told me that they cover partial dentures. When I called, the girl who answered the phone was so RUDE to me. I explained to her what the State said about partials and she said well your more then welcome to come in so we can submit a TAR (treatment authorization request) and when we get it back we will be more than happy to hand you the denial. Was told I had nine cavities, double checked at another dentist and verified that indeed I had nine cavities. They pushed me to get them filled, so we did four at a time during a visit by Dr. Bianca. There was so much plaster left on my teeth afterwards that it felt like I had rocks in my mouth instead of my previously smooth teeth. Every visit after that I have had to ask the doctors to remove some of it. After a few days I noticed sharp pain every time I would eat coming from those four teeth that were worked on. It got so bad I couldn't even eat with those teeth anymore and had to get root canals done. I did not need them but after Dr. Bianca's great job I did. Clearly i requested that she no longer work on my teeth. So now I have root canals I never wanted to get and a bit of plaster left on my teeth. My mother had an appointment for a cavity filling and they gave her a root canal on the tooth next to it without asking. I have a feeling that they are making money through this extra work they do on their patients with MediCal insurance. Also don't go in there wearing a scarf and beanie or all of the very smart overweight assistant's may ask you if you want a blanket at the beginning of every visit. Such wonderful people, will never be going back. If I could leave a negative star review I would, and I've never left a review on yelp in my life. But I feel the need to warn people about this place. I went by the reviews on google and gave it a try, I was very disappointed, before I went to my appointment the girl over the phone said yes they accepted my insurance and to just make sure I was assigned to them so which I did, the day of my appointment came and some girl in front desk said another thing "I'm not sure if we accept your insurance" well they still went ahead and let me in, my appointment was at 4:30pm didn't get seen until 6:30pm. The dr was very unprofessional he walked in and didn't even bother brining or looking at my X-rays and he said I didn't need any work just a deep cleaning and walked away (rude) when I'm actually in pain and swollen gums, I might seem exaggerating but I wouldn't be giving this review if it wasn't true and being first time here. From my experience I wouldn't recommend this place. I don't know how is there many good reviews I wonder if they're very good friends of these drs or just paid reviews. Oh and the front desk girl said they'll call me the following day which they didn't. Unprofessional, rude, no good communication. Just wasted my time there. Won't be going there ever again. Do not go here! The worse service ever. The receptionist is rude! They don't call back they don't understand how to bill to insurance... I had to call them over 8 times to get a an answer and I still never got a answer or a call back for my braces. They rushed me out my appointment saying they had to go to lunch and couldn't help me with my quote for my braces. I called three times with the insurance on the line because they were confused on how to code for billing of braces. I was working with the manager after the horrible service I received from the receptionist and even working with the manager I never received a call back. Do not waste your time going here.. do not give them your money..They definitely need to train their representatives on customer service, billing and Coding! Horrible experience! So I have had issues with my teeth for years mostly due to health reasons. Over the past year I got the run around from other dental offices stating they could not help me, mostly due to my insurance (Medicare/IEHP). I started looking around more before giving up and called Brookside Dental. When I call the receptionist (Rachel), told her my situation and said they could help. I was skeptical at first but have had the most wonderful experiences here with the Dr. (Dr. lubczuk) and great staff(Rachel&Taryn) and dental assistants (Felicia&Ivette)! My teeth and self esteem has improved 10 fold due to the people that have helped me out here. I recommend them to my family and friend and would highly suggest if your looking for a dentist come here, it will be worth it. All this work was done in a matter of 3 months, very fast! This office used to be great several years ago. They were so good that I referred several friends, coworkers and family members to them over the years. Then the practice changed ownership several times and along the way they went from being great to freaking absolutely horrible, terrible, unbelievably crappy. At least 13 people that I know changed dental offices because of how bad they became but I hoped that it would get better. The last dentist (female Asian) wasn't even willing to listen to my concern about my teeth, she was very dismissive of my expressed concern, which was of an off and on pain in an upper molar and she said the x-ray doesn't show anything but I winced with the dental pick she probed with. At checkout I mentioned the concern to one of the ladies up front and she whispered "We've been getting a lot of complaints from patients about her" and then she volunteered that they were giving free teeth whitening kits to any patient who left a positive review on Yelp because "we have the worst ratings on Yelp and we need to get better reviews.". Well fast forward a few months later and POW! now I need a root canal on the same tooth the dentist said was fine. They moved the practice to a new location last year but they still have the same crappy service. Although they schedule appointments at a specific time don't hold your breath that they will actually take you in on time. They don't respect your time. Today I was 15 minutes early and 45 minutes of sitting later still nothing,. I just told them I couldn't wait any longer and left. I was there for a tooth ache and cleaning, routine stuff but even that seems to be a challenge there. So now I'll have to endure the pain until I find a new practice. In the meantime I'll be filing a consumer complaint with when California Department of Consumer Affairs about their shoddy practices including charging me for anesthesia that I never received. They acted dumbfounded about the entire situation. I know most people come on here and unload when they get angry about the service, food, etc. But I may case it's just to warn at potential consumers to stay clear of this practice unless you enjoy frustration and waiting, lots of waiting. read more

I dont understand the bad reviews! The staff is EXTREMELY helpful. I have been there 2 times, and have not had to wait more than 10 min. I was afraid that my daughter (who is 6 years old) would be afraid being her 1st dental exam and I was requesting they pull her loose tooth, but the Dental Assistant (I wish I could remember her name!) and Dr. Ankin Deragobian were so sweet and warm that my daughter was comfortable the entire visit and is looking forward to her 6 month followup! I myself, recently went for the 1st time this week. Dr. Ankin Deragobian suggested that I have quite alot of work done, HOWEVER I have not been to a Dentist in 12 years! So I didnt expect to leave hearing I was perfect. The Dr. explained every reason for each procedure and verified with me on the XRays what every thing was. Yes, it will all be COSTLY, but its not like they are telling me to have it all done at once and that same day. Any type of service is costly. Dental, Primary Care, Vets etc., so it should not be shocking to have to pay over $100-$200 for a procedure. I was referred to their Oral Surgeon and Orthodontist as well and I went to their office to ask for my copayment estimates and they were helpful as well!! read more

When I complained, they asked me to leave and kicked me out for having the audacity to ask them to waive the $5.00 co-pay. (YES - It was only $5.00) NEVER waste your time with this place. Awful service. Had to have several fillings done here, in less than 6 months I have had to get 3 of them replaced (two popped out while brushing my teeth like normal, the third broke in half). I also am constantly having to wait absurditly long for a dentist, on most days I would have to sit for 30mins or more in a room waiting to wtart. On other days it has stretched in the 2 hour mark, while I sit listening to the workers gossiping with each other, taking personal calls on the phone, or text messaging instead of working. Very unprofessional, have had appointments canceled on me when only trying to reschedule them. Also has the problem that many dentists seem to have, very eager to offer services that cost extra money, but are not completely honest about the services that are covered by your insurance. read more

Came here for routine teeth cleaning. I was told that they would only clean half of my mouth because my insurance would only pay to clean half of my mouth on that visit (who ever heard of that). Then they sprung the $80 co-pay on me. I reluctantly agreed to have the cleaning done because I didn't know any better. After almost 2 hours wait I was finally brought in for the procedure. I was told that I would be given something to numb my mouth, but during the whole procedure nothing of that sort was given to me. I went home thinking maybe they forgot or something, but sure enough, when I went over the bill, they charged the insurance for the numbing solution. Well, I am now forced to make another appointment so I can get the other half of my mouth cleaned. After another 2 hour wait and another $80, I got the same dentist to clean the other half of my mouth. This time I questioned her about the numbing solution that I was supposed to get and she confirmed that I was supposed to get it. I also told her that I didn't think that I got it last time. Sure enough, the procedure was completed without any numbing solution given to me. I confronted her after the procedure and she just shrugged it off. I can't believe I let them make a third appointment for me. This time I was about 10 min. late for my appointment. Judging from how packed the waiting room was I knew it would be a long wait, but I asked the snooty girl at the front counter if it would be ok. She snapped back at me "WHO SAID IT WOULD BE OK TO BE LATE". The other reviewer are right on. Horrible, unprofessional service. The doctors were extremely helpful with the process of getting braces, without enforcing it on you. The atmosphere, while quiet, is still refreshing. Although there was a minor mishap with a missed X-Ray photo, they still take you in.I'll be going here more often. read more
