We recently switched to this dental office after being with our previous dentist for quite some time. We originally chose this practice because of the many positive reviews, and after several appointments for both my wife and me, we now understand why. OUR FIRST VISIT - THOROUGH EXAM & TREATMENT PLAN During our first visit, they gave both my wife and me very thorough evaluations and explained the dental work that each of us needed. Tanya was especially helpful in going over our options and setting us up with a no-interest payment plan. This made it much easier for us to move forward with the work we needed without having to take on the entire cost at once. We never felt pressured, and having this option allowed us to finally take care of our dental needs in a manageable way. Tanya made the process clear and straightforward, and we really appreciated her help. JULY 7 - MY WIFE'S CROWN My wife came in for a crown with Dr. Justin, and her appointment started on time. We also appreciated that they have the technology to make crowns in-house, which made the process very convenient. What surprised my wife most was the numbing injection--she didn't feel it at all! She actually asked Dr. Justin if he had already given the injection and was surprised to find out that it was already done. She was comfortable throughout the procedure and was very happy with her crown. JULY 23 & AUGUST 5 - DEEP CLEANING WITH McKENZIE I had my deep cleaning completed in two appointments, first on the right side and then on the left. McKenzie did an excellent job both times. She was gentle, patient, and took the time to explain what she was doing. Even the numbing injections were surprisingly comfortable--I could barely feel them. I especially appreciated McKenzie's patience with my blood pressure. I experience white coat syndrome, so my BP can initially rise during medical or dental appointments. She never rushed me. She gave me time to relax and patiently rechecked my blood pressure until it came down to a comfortable level before proceeding. That understanding made a big difference in helping me feel comfortable. SEPTEMBER 11 - BRIDGE PREPARATION I returned for my bridge preparation with Dr. Justin. Once again, I barely felt the numbing injection. Afterward, he carefully checked each area to make sure I was completely numb before proceeding. He was very thorough and made sure I wasn't experiencing any discomfort. Stephen assisted with the mold and temporary bridge, and his attention to detail really stood out. He was extremely meticulous--almost a perfectionist--in making sure everything was done correctly. SEPTEMBER 24 - PERMANENT BRIDGE I returned for my permanent bridge. Stephen prepared everything with the same incredible attention to detail, and Jessica double-checked everything to make sure it was right before the final installation. Dr. Markham installed the permanent bridge and carefully checked and adjusted my bite until it felt natural and comfortable. When I saw the finished bridge, I was genuinely amazed by how natural it looked. The color blends beautifully with my surrounding teeth. With my old bridge from my previous dentist, I could always tell that the color was slightly off. This new bridge is completely different--it blends so naturally with my teeth that I'm extremely impressed with the result. OUR OVERALL EXPERIENCE After several visits, what stands out most is the consistency of the care. From Tanya helping us make our treatment financially manageable, to Dr. Justin, Dr. Markham, McKenzie, Stephen, Jessica, and the rest of the team, we've consistently experienced patience, professionalism, gentleness, and impressive attention to detail. Switching dentists was a big decision for us, but my wife and I are very happy we made the change. We originally came here because of all the positive reviews. Dr. Markham said my husband, son and I all needed root canals (thousands of dollars). Long story short, I got a second opinion and I don't even have cavities. He also suggested my husband and I have deep cleaning done in multiple appointments (more money). My new dentist said I'm not even in the category of needing a deep cleaning. Honestly the best place to go. Staff is super friendly. Have had no issues with my various fillings. They are great at explaining what needs to be done and how. They explain costs ahead of time so it is not a surprise. They truly care about making sure you walk out with the best dental care possible. I have always disliked dental appointments and have a fear of needles but they honestly make it so easy to trust them and are so conscious of your needs that I have had work done here that I had previously put off. They will also send you reminders as your appointment comes up so you don't forget. At my appointment today, my baby started to cry and staff came over to soothe him so my fillings could get done. As someone with health/dental anxiety it had been a while (2years) since I had been to the dentist. I finally bit the bullet and made an appointment since I had some decent insurance for once. Everyone was amazing the front staff and hygienist were kind, professional and understanding. Dr.Kim was amazingly kind and patient with me, she explained everything to me and calmed me down. If I could give a million stars, I would. Dr. Markham literally changed my life. With a family history of bad teeth and an abundance of Diet soda, I had destroyed my teeth. The enamel was gone and I was left with brown, broken, chipped ugly teeth. When we had to wear masks for Covid, it was actually a blessing because I could smile naturally for the first time behind the mask. Dr. Markham took the time, offered options and while I couldn't afford implants, I have beautiful crowns on my teeth. This may not be the solution for everyone, but it was life changing for me. So I always wait until my second visit to a doctors office to really judge how I like it. And after just leaving my second visit with Dr. Markham, I'm so glad to say I finally found a great dentist! Dr. Markham is really down to earth and super friendly. He's goes out of his way to say hi and see how you're doing even if your appointment is just for a cleaning. All the hygienists that I've met are very informative and easy to talk to. I've only dealt with Erika at the front desk but shes awesome and I feel like she goes above and beyond dealing with insurance company's and scheduling appointments. This is by far the best dentist office I have ever gone to. I just got 8 fillings after COVID and anywhere else, I would have been terrified. Dr. M and his staff are so professional while simultaneously being laid back and relaxed. The atmosphere feels like family and they are all down to earth. This office is awesome! This was my first visit and I needed some new retainers for my top teeth.. They had so many options for the design on my retainers! I didn't even know you can really do anything with them but I guess you can! I got pink glittery retainers and can't wait to get them in exactly 1 week! Very very friendly staff!! I honestly just had the most amazing cleaning at the Dentists office! Brittany was my RDH (registered dental hygienist) and she was truly amazing! I've just used that word twice because it's true. I could never say enough about Dr Markham or his crew. I have a lot of work, and I had a HUGE fear of dentists. I actually look forward to my appointments now. I'm treated so nice, they make sure I'm comfortable and pain free, and everyone there truly cares. The office is clean, comfortable, and upbeat. All the work is done perfectly. Plus, no other dentist (that I know of) does so much for the community. The Yucaipa Extreme Makeover is truly life changing and I'm blessed to be apart of it. Excellent staff - very kind, professional and empathetic. They were great with me and my kids. I just had my gums deep cleaned by Brittany and it was practically painless. Several years ago I had my gums deep cleaned at a place in Redlands and it was horrifyingly painful. This was the opposite. I had my follow up today and it was great as well. I actually look forward to my next visit. There is no high pressure sales here. They did suggest a WaterPik and a different toothbrush and suggested I can get them on Amazon. The fact that they aren't pushing sales from their office is big for me. I believe Brittany understands what it takes to have healthy gums and she can explain it really well too. And she is a truly nice person which helps. I'm actually inspired to have better gums; no hygienist in the past has been able to do that. Dr Markham is the best dentist I have ever been to. His staff is amazing and so friendly. I love the remodel/expansion. It is so modern and hip. My favorite aspect of the office is the TVs in the chairs to keep you distracted while you are being treated. If you don't want to watch you can choose a music station to listen to.
