Garden City Plumbing & Heating

We just had a Lennox heat pump and Bradford and White hot water heater installed after getting bids…read morefrom three local installers. Devan from GCPH scoped out our situation and his proposal was the most detail oriented of the three. We decided to go with Garden City and are very glad we did. The job was a three day project. Both Mike and Shane were on time every day, kept us informed about the process, supplied us with space heaters for the first night without a furnace, and went the distance rounding up their plumber Aaron to get the hot water heater installed the first day. Mike made sure we understood the programmable thermostat before he left on Friday which was timely as the temps plummeted that night and into the weekend. We are very happy with Garden City and would recommend them to others who are investing in a heat pump. All staff were informative, friendly, and competent.

Friendly people, way overpriced plumbing service…read more This was work in a rental. A bathroom sink clogged with hair needed to be snaked. I ok'd $225 for the work, which seemed high to me, but I was in a bind. The work took 15 minutes. Then, the plumber told me the $95 dispatch fee would be added to that amount. I was stunned. For most companies, the dispatch fee becomes part of the service cost if you go ahead and choose to have the work done. $320 for 15 minutes onsite? The property was only about 15 minutes away from Garden City's headquarters! Oh, well, the plumber applied a coupon that dropped the bill by $25. So $295 for a 15-minute job snaking a sink. I've regularly used Garden City, but I won't use them again. UPDATE: Garden City replied to my Google review and invited me to talk. I sent an email to the company saying I'd be glad to receive their phone call, noting that they have my number on file. Probably I put it in the email, too. I can't recall because that was more than six months ago. No one has called. I think that lack of contact speaks to the sincerity of the reply posted to that review.

I can't speak highly enough about this company. I had a rather convoluted problem with my garage…read moreheater. I decided to replace it after the fan failed on the old one. I had bought a replacement unit and arranged for a contractor to install the new one. The contractor came and took out the old unit, but then he had some sort of emergency and disappeared into the sunset. There are alot of HVAC people in Missoula and I started down the list. Most wouldn't touch a unit they didn't provide and informed me, they would have to provide the unit..even if it was the identical unit $$$$. They wanted the commission on the unit. They also wanted huge installation costs. I was about to give up when I got hold of Hotchkiss. I also wanted to know if the old unit was salvageable. They promptly sent out a very experienced repairman who carefully evaluated the problems and gave me an honest opinion. They readily agreed to installing the new unit which they felt was a far better choice...safer, more efficient. Not only that, but they did it 2 days later at a very reasonable fee which included materials and didn't charge for the initial visit. The installers did a great job and had the unit in up and running in less than 3 hrs with a 1 yr warrantee on their workmanship. They were thoughtful, respectful , capable and courteous. I recommend them without reservation.

All Pro Heating and Cooling is a CAN-DO company! We wanted…read moreto have an air cleaner/purifier installed on our existing gas furnace system to remove any musty smell coming from our crawl space where the furnace is located. We called a few HVAC companies in the area but didn't feel satisfied with their familiarity with the unit we had researched and chosen until I spoke with Jason at All Pro. Jason and his crew had our unit installed quickly, sealed the duct work (that turned out to be very leaky!) and sealed the registers in the living area in short order. They also found an area in the sub floor that was moist, investigated, and made repairs to the roof vent that had never been sealed at original install of the system and was seeping when we had rain or snow. When we mentioned that the tub drain P-trap had an issue - no problem! They fixed that too! They also explained why the existing dryer venting in the crawl space was a fire hazard that we might want to change out some time, so we asked if that was something they could ALSO do. No problem, it is done! Their ability to cover all of these issues at one time/one company saved us a LOT of money! Our furnace is running much more efficiently now! Our indoor air environment is safer, we won't have to replace the sub-flooring, and the bathtub drains better! Wow! I highly recommend Jason at All Pro Heating and Cooling, and will be calling him when it is time to replace or repair our system.

Unbelievable! Unfortunately Jason gets a undeserved one star!…read moreHe comes out to the house over two weeks ago to diagnose my faulty furnace which he installed three years ago. 17 days later and no answer to my messages he text: "I'll pull the part off your furnace tomorrow, take it to Missoula for warranty exchange and come back out to reinstall." I politely declined because I already hired a reputable company to repair the problem. You hire Jason and your hiring yourself and unreliable headache!

He just helped with a long-term hidden leak in the basement of the rental, which required Dayspring's services as well because there was mold mitigation involved. He did his plumbing part efficiently and well. In my extensive experience with him - he takes every customer seriously, answers calls quickly, diagnoses problems, has or gets the parts, and fixes things FAST. He's also a fun person to talk with - always upbeat about life and solving problems. Highly recommended! Doug After I wrote the above review about my own experience, I looked at some of the other reviews. I have to say that a few of them are really negative - and completely at odds with my long time experience with Bill. I've never had anything other than a positive experience with him, and every job he's done has been excellent. He is extremely competent and knowledgeable. Doug

Bill came up a few weeks ago to repair a leaky hose on a faucet…read more I believe charges a Service call fee of $190 just to have him come out and say that he couldn't work on our sink because it wasn't the right brand!? Bill will tell you he cannot work on sinks/faucets that are sold at Home Depot or Lowe's. That's all well and fine I guess but you'll likely have to pay one of the higher service call fees charged in missoula just to find this out! He left us with two choices, told us he could replace the hose if we ordered it (plus $190 for a second service call from Bill) or BUY a whole new faucet fixture from a brand that he would work on AND pay for another $190 for a service call. Honestly if he and his staff would have asked us some basic questions over the phone we could have ordered the part and installed it in one call. Before leaving this review I called and asked to speak with bill to see if he could come out to install the new hose (big mistake) and to offer him some customer feedback and a chance to resolve this problem. He called my phone and preceded to interrupt me as I was explaining my concerns and went off on a profanity laden rampage telling me to: "Come find him if you don't like his services" and to "go fix the f***king thing yourself" and then threatened me with harassment if I continued to contact him or his company, wow. Bill's a really rude/tough guy on the phone apparently, and if you read other reviews this isn't an isolated incident! Bill might have the worst customer service and staff that I have experienced in years. Do yourselves a favor and call someone (anyone) else! Bill doesn't need your hard earned money, choose one of the other myriad of options for plumbing and heating services in Missoula.
