Granted this area is not some place that I frequent often if at all at that, I will say that the patties are pretty solid & reasonably priced. I liked both the vegan & the beef ones, but, yet again, absolutely nothing will beat Kingston in Harlem for me as of yet. I think the only solution would be a trip to Jamaica haha. read more

Paul's Bakery is a small bakery with big customer service! It's nice to visit a Jamaican spot that the people are nice. Now for the patties. The vegetable patties are a hit and the beef patties are hot and one of the closest you can get to a traditional beef patty from Jamaica minus the crust. I'm more accustomed to a flakier more buttery crust but hey. Inside it's a cash only establishment with a simple interior. First off I travel very far (2 hours) for their vegan patties. I've been plant based for 7 years-- Hands down these are the best vegan JAMAICAN patties I've ever had. I started making my own because authentic tasting vegan patties are hard to come by. I'm Jamaican so my standards are high and they surpass that. Also, they're so nice there! Always a pleasure. The patties there are really good. They have beef, chicken, veggie and chickpea. I usually go for the beef but since having the chickpea, I have begun to get that one more now. It's very flaky and delicious. read more

The patties are by far the best in the Bronx. I used to love getting from Champion bakery but the owners or chef changed a few years back and it was never the same. I simply stopped eating patties. A friend recommended and I said sure I'll try just a bite. It was shockingly delicious! I ate the entire thing. Highly recommend I will definitely be back. Being the offspring of Jamaican parents I can attest to the quality and authenticity of this bakery's goods. The beef patties are spot on the best. The hard dough bread and cinnamon rolls are also authentic.I travel from Dutchess county to buy his goods. And will continue to do so. A favorite neighborhood patty spot! My mom would bring me here when I was a little girl after school for a fresh, hot beef patty. About 20 years later it's still my favorite place on white plains road for a beef patty. I'm always greeted with a big smile and treated very nicely! Their coco bread is the perfect, fluffy, buttery accompaniment to the flakey patty.. I usually skip the coco bread because the beef patty on its own is very filling *to me*. The patty has the perfect ratio of crust to meat filling..unlike some places with lots of dough, minimum filling. I have tried other patty places, but I always end back up at Paul's! read more
