My water heater started to leak so I researched local service and found TK had the best reviews for…read moreservice and price. So I called five minutes after they opened Monday. That's the first thing I noticed. Usually after a weekend I expect a voicemail. They were busy. The first thing they asked was if I had hot water. I did, it was a small leak. I answered all the important questions, They arranged schedule to get to us around 11AM- next day. they expected to have a job finished by then and made sure I understood 11 was a "hopefully." The first technician did show up around 12:30 and started to drain the heater. The second had to get some lunch and he showed up not to long after. Fortunately, I had an easy access door to basement (Bilco and stairs). They cut up the new box from the new heater and made a cardboard walk to protect the carpet. They fixed the crappy fittings I put in when I did the last one, made it right and were done less than two hours. They cleaned up everything and I have hot water. I haven't got the bill yet but they think between $1,500 and $2,000, which is what I expected from researching. They told me how to work the controls. I see the documents on the side. Of course, they didn't mention changing the anode periodically which will let the heater last longer, but I mentioned it. The manufacturer buries that info also. I wish I had before and after pictures. It's a nice install. I'll look for leaks and let you know. Very nice techs, respectful, friendly. Great guys. Bill will come in the mail. I'll let you know. The last heater I bought was $800 and it took me 5-hours to install and three trips to the hardware store.

All in all I gave Havey Plumbing the best rating because they fixed our problem in a short amount…read moreof time, were thorough, affordable, accommodating, clean, and helped me to understand what was going on. Background: My wife and I noticed a sound of water running, without any appliances or fixtures running. There was not a visible leak in the drywall but about a week later we did notice water coming up from the cement (under carpeting) on the second story of our tri-level home. Initially not knowing we had a leaking pipe and thinking we had other issues with our landscaping and drainage tile, we had dry basement contractors out at the house telling us we needed concrete trenching, and a crock/sump pump to be added to the second level. We asked those contractors where they thought the water was coming from, since the ground was still not supposed to be thawed. They said that the problem was a landscaping and drainage tile issue and added that they doubted there was a broken pipe. Their trenching/sump pump solution was going to cost between $6,000-$10,000. After talking to friends we decided we needed a Master Plumber to come out. Asking around we heard of Havey Plumbing doing great work. It is a smaller outfit and just as that implies, we received very personal care, which was great because it is an emotional time when you are ripping your living room carpeting, cabinetry, etc. out. Jeff and his son Colton came out found the leaky pipe location (under cement) temporarily fixed the situation by stopping the water and capping the line, while my wife and I decided what our next steps were. We asked them to come back out the next week to pipe our bathroom back in. They removed a little drywall behind our washer and dryer, to run piping through the walls this time. I had a new toilet on hand and asked if they had time to install that and remove/dispose of the old, which they did. As a homeowner I am not fully incapable of doing things but locating and isolating where the leak was coming from was beyond my skills. If anything comes up for me in the future, I found a good company/Master Plumber to rely on!

He said he suspected one of the heating elements has failed. Because of schedule issues told him it would be difficult to meet him at the property. By the end of the day the elements were replaced. He contacted me to let me know the status and left the bill on the table. I thought that was it, I was wrong.
