We purchase her crate that came with a crate cushion, her food, food bowl, shampoo, doggy pads and wipes. we are so thankful for the kind staff and our new puppy. We searched for a long time and ran into so many scams. No scam here. They don't ask for money upfront unless you want them to hold a puppy for you. However my experience was pretty good, pleasant and professional from the first phone call I made speaking with Ashley throughout my first month thus far with my puppy. The facility was very clean and smelled good...puppies were clean, not in any visible distress but appeared healthy and happy. Ok so a good ended to a awkward beginning. I was told to call Sunday 9/3 to speak to Mary who will be able to help me better with this issue that my puppy I bought wasn't a full breed yorkie. When I was on the phone with Mary she offered me a full refund and I can keep my dog! However my heart is set on a yorkie so I ask her how can we make that happened and basically I was told I can keep my dog and she will credit what I paid to a yorkie I choose! It was so nice for her to work towards fixing this situation in the way she is. I am not sure if the owner pauley will give a discount on the a puppy, there was no way to ask him when I called since he was at his place of worship (which I understand) But I am very happy with the outcome and I will be sure to update when this is completed. Even more of an update. The owner has messaged me privately and told me that he is going to get a lawyer on me. Followed by an extremely nasty response. That is very sad that you have to threaten people privately when there is a clear issue. If he knew anything, he would know my freedom of speech is protected online. Especially if I have facts to back what I said (the endless vet record of my genetically sick pup is proof enough). So good luck. Reading the rest of the reviews of all the people who have had issues with their pups and his responses to them accusing them of lying makes me so sad. I bought my Boston Terrier from Pauley's Pets in 2010. He was a cute puppy with a lot of energy. If I remember correctly he was 8 weeks old. His birthday was 4/23/2010. He loved the world outside everyone was his friend at least he thought so , but he was territorial in our house he wanted no one to come in. I keep saying was because he was diagnosed with liver failure in October 2010 and was put on medication to help with pain as there is no cure or surgery in dogs. The vet told us he had from 6 months to a year to live and that was horrible news. I asked the vet might he maker it longer and he unfortunately said 6 months was a stretch. He passed in 6 months on 4/232021 . He lived to be 11 and died on his 11 birthday. It was a horrible day, Milo will always be loved and missed. He died on the same date he was born. We will always be grateful for Milo who we got for in Pauley's Pet's and he was a great dog and missed everyday. Ts taking a while but ev1 says I should get another dog but It is too soon and I feel it would be like replacing Milo and he cannot be replaced. When I feel I am ready Pauley's Place will be my place to go. Milo was a great dog that we were lucky to get from Pauley's,s Place 11 years ago which with him seemed forever and still our loving BT. read more

I just bought an adorable teddy bear pup today. These dogs may or may not come from a puppy mill, but someone has to adopt/purchase them and I was willing to.. The 3 ladies here were super nice. My dog smelled clean like a baby so I didn't have to bathe her when I came home and I am anal about my dogs literally. I have always washed my previous dogs feet and rear ends after walking them. I was not about to search all over the state of VA for a reputable dealer of teddy bear dogs when I could conveniently come here from Northern VA. The dog was $700 and I purchased the cage and supplies for $120, so this was a good deal. I remember buying my lhapsa apso 20 years ago and it was $350 back then, so with inflation, this is a good price. Again, the ladies answered our questions, no eye rolling, and were very sweet and accommodating. I would shop here again in the future. Again my puppy is so sweet. read more

I was very impressed at the precautions they take before you even get to hold a puppy and they don't let people pass them around. They seem to take very good care of them. Updated: After many tests, the Yorkie we got from Pauleys has turned out to be a wonderful puppy. The vet thinks it was just some kind of respiratory infection he had that just didn't want to leave. He has since gotten better and is a healthy puppy. He was tested and is 100 percent Yorkie. I would recommend them to anyone looking for a puppy. Thought he was sick at first but he got better once we switched vets and he got his last dose of medicine. read more

They told us our puppy was "on sale" for $1300 and when we took him to the vet he had a massive hernia and a weak ligament in his left knee (which we will he dealing with his entire life) Pauley's Pups didn't mention any of that and technically it is not grounds for an "unfit puppy" so we couldn't return the dog. Shitty way of doing business will not ever return in the future and will tell everyone not to buy a puppy from there. Extremely expensive and they won't tell you if something is wrong with the puppy. read more

I have come to realize that no matter how much you hope to end up with a great dog, breed matters. Some breeds are fragile and not as hardy. I got my puppy from here back in May of 2019. I had been on the search for a dog for almost a year. On the internet we're a bunch of people lying about puppies just trying to steal your money. So I knew I had to go to a place and actually see the puppy. I called to see what all they had and how much. I was looking for a smaller dog and my husband wanted a medium dog. I wanted a poodle mix with not much shedding. Not knowing much the lady on the phone said you really should come in and check out my babies. You would probably like a mini doodle and I just got one in. So I got in my car to go see it. Big was she right. I loved how I got to see multiple types of dogs and how they interacted. This place was so clean and made everyone wear an apron and gloves on the dogs. And if you changed to hold another dog you had to change gloves and apron. The dog was already chipped and had shots. I only had to go to the vet once for a new puppy exam and one last round of shots. When I started reading on how people say you could have a mini but end up with a 100 lb dog I got worried. These people were to a T with the knowledge size and everything with my dog. She is so smart so healthy. It took me a while to write a review because I wanted to make sure when I put one on it wasn't just for that day's experience. It was my overall experience. I would buy from here again. My only problem is they don't get many Goldendoodles in. So I have had to look other places. When doing so I found breeders who really don't know anything. They couldn't even answer questions I had. Wanted twice a much money for their dogs they were calling minis. Which in the end could be a full size dog because of how they were breeding them. I was I lucky because I honestly didn't know what I was looking for other then a hyper allergic dog. Thank you so much Pauley's puppies for helping me. You gave me a perfect dog. If I could give zero stars I would. Def a puppy mill. Also, when I bought my puppy (about two years ago) she had parvo. I spent about 5,000 in vet bills and luckily after a week in the dog hospital and a plasma transfusion later, she survived against all odds. They did compensate me 2,000 back but why on earth are you selling sick dogs. I definitely got bad vibes from that place and the woman at the front desk was crotchety. read more

I visited on 3/12/20 to purchase/adopt a male Yorkie. Not a shorkie, morkie, dorkie, or forkie, but a full-bred yorkie. I gave 3 stars because the facility was very clean, the staff was friendly, the paper work didn't take long to complete, and the pup came micro-chipped already. What I'm not happy about is my husband and I asked several times (before I ever filled out any paper work) how big I should expect him to get because I was purchasing with the expectation to breed him. We were told repeatedly no more than 7 pounds, but unfortunately this certainly is not the case because at 14 weeks he is already 7 pounds and not over weight according to the vet, which means he will likely be closer to 15 -20 pounds. There is no way I will be able to breed him because the owner of the dam that I was set to mate him with said he doesn't want my 15-20 pound "supposed yorkie" matting with his 4 pound "full-bred yorkie." I believe it would've been more professional and realistic to tell me (or any customer) "although we can't tell you precisely how big he/she will get, usually these breeds get up to 7 pounds, though some can be bigger depending on genetics and so forth, but his/her parents were 4 and 6 pounds respectively." If I would've received this answer I would've certainly felt that I was purchasing more informed and at my own risk, but that didn't happen. I purchased him with the understanding that he should weigh no more than 7 pounds as an adult. I ordered an Embark test and hopefully I'll find out exactly what his makeup is, but I'll be beyond surprised if it says 100% Yorkshire Terrier. I know people will probably say, "but I bet you love him anyway," and so on and so on, but when you shell out over $1,500 of your hard-earned money with the expectation of getting exactly what you want, then you should get exactly what you want. Although our pets do become a part of our family, they are still property and while I do love him I made this investment with a goal in mind. read more
