Mindy was great, walked me through a plan and i was headed off to the races. I'm not sure I really understood it, but I rolled with it as best as I could. Fast forward a handful of years later and I wanted to revisit my plan. A lot changed from job to income and I needed something new after selling some real estate. The 2nd experience wasn't quite the same for a number of perspectives. What hit me the hardest was hearing what was said about my situation behind the scenes after my first consultation with Mindy. The planner (Sam) actally said outloud they didn't believe I could make something happen with the previous plan. Guess what, I did do something. Now I'm in need of another plan after an unexpected windfall, but don't trust the experience won't be the same. The other part I don't get is why it was suggested to open a brokerage account (which I did based on the plan) when playing the stock market is not something I do or comfortable with. Anything having to do with stocks and the market scares me and I'm very uncomfortable on any financial site outside of a bank. Nothing makes sense and vocabulary is vague. I expressed my discomfort in this area and needed a lot of hand holding to execute moving funds and opening a brokerage account. I still don't understand this one, but I did it based on a recommendation. Now I am sittiing with a brokerage account and it's doing nothing because the thought of it just paralyzes me. While the set it and forget it method is great concept in theory, it's only as good as the plan and the clients ability realistically execute. Although the 2nd plan was a great idea to retire at 62, it had zero reality of lifes unexpected changes. Good Luck!

My retirement account was/is through Fidelity. When I returned to Washington State in approximately October/November 2019, I looked up to see if Fidelity had in-person offices I could go to and ask some general questions about my account to. I found this location, however I did not immediately visit as I worked through most of my questions, such as how to change my address on the account, on my own. After checking the online balance and withdrawal process, I decided it was time to come in and just ask if I could withdraw funds. I had not talked to a Fidelity financial advisor before and was uncertain as to if/how to withdraw funds. Remembering this location, I arrived a little after 11:00 a.m. this morning, Thursday 5 October 2023. Parking spaces were easy to navigate and the entrance easy to find. The interior was pristine and a friendly front desk worker, who I decided to term my financial advisor, greeted me. I asked if it was possible to withdraw funds from my account, to which he walked me through an example of what it might look like/entail to withdraw funds in full or partial amount from the account. Since I did not have my account details with me, he used my ID to pull up the account. He was friendly and knowledgable. The two big drawbacks I found out to withdrawing funds at my age (approximately 31 years old) were: 1) taxes, and 2) a 10% penalty for not being 59.5 years of age or older. This was very helpful information, as was the two general withdrawal options for a partial withdrawal: 1) a set withdrawal amount, or 2) a set in-your-pocket amount. My tiny little brain and I left with much to think about and I was happy to visit and get some guidance.

Not only has he been able to clearly explain so many financial concepts, but his advice has been spot on. I haven't always followed it--and I've lost some money, in those instances-- but Rory is consistent in his interest in helping me make the right choices based on what we know. I've been a Fidelity customer for more than 30 years, and I feel good about that relationship and its value to me.

Oh hi, Fidelity. Remember me?…read more I promised lots of bad PR for your disastrous and purposeful mishandling of our 401k account. Here we go. On June 22, my better half, Zane Graham, requested a withdrawal from his 401k. He set up direct deposit, told that the funds should be deposited in 3-5 days. This is helpful, as we have recent surgical bills we need to pay. On June 29, we were told it took too long to verify his bank account (how hard can it be to make a phone call?) and that a paper check was sent instead, and to give it 10 days from the 22nd. On July 3rd, no check. We had to pay our rent, and we were short- thanks Fidelity. We called and we're told 10 BUSINESS days and to call back on Thursday- if it hadn't arrived, the rep said you could have it deposited direct. We gave it an extra day and called again Friday when it hadn't arrived. Here's where it gets interesting. The rep told us they could stop payment on the original, 2-day a replacement to arrive Tuesday, and that they could reverse the stop payment on the original if it arrived first. Original check arrived yesterday. Relieved, Zane called to reverse the stop payment. He was told they couldn't do that, and that the replacement had been sent already. Fuming, all we could do was wait to today- the replacement was sent Friday to arrive today. This morning Zane gets an email that the check has been accepted by UPS for delivery TOMORROW. Five days after promising the check was sent out. Let me break this down for you. We expected direct deposit before July 1st. Unless your technology is archaic, you can do direct deposit in minutes. It doesn't take 3 weeks for a paper to get to the other side of the country. Then several of your reps lied to us. And now our bank account is several hundred dollars in the hole, with overdraft fees from B of A piling up nearly hourly. And your reps made it our fault, somehow, and offered no solution. Requests for any kind of restitution or help have been ignored or met with lies. Our family needed this money. And Fidelity has better things to do than bother with things like integrity or honesty. If you're reading this review, withdraw every penny of your money and take it elsewhere.

An instructor I had heard great things about was teaching in Seattle, so I decided to retake there. The Seattle center is a warm, friendly place, with the usual endless coffee, lunch, and snacks. The classroom has the modern technology that you need as a trader. Everything about this trip was great, other than the clouds constantly obscuring the mountains.... I have been trading for about a year now using OTA's strategies, and they really do work. To succeed, you need a good trading plan, and weeks or months of practice. The cost of OTA classes seems high to some people, but you are really paying for the equivalent of a college degree in a new career. Some people end up trading full-time, which really means 10-20 hours a week, or just doing this to improve their portfolio performance. Like any other career, what you achieve is a reflection of what you invest. I'm very glad I decided to hook up with OTA when I did. It has changed my life.
