Wish I could give zero stars for Paul. Did a root canal and a week later had to have the tooth extracted. Bravo Paul

Quick recap- amazing staff, beautiful lobby, and this office obviously cares about its patients…read more Like seriously. Continue reading for the real story. For the first time in my life- I am beyond happy with my visit! (Like seriously I have texted everyone, raved about it at work to my coworkers who don't care, and am now leaving this review). This was my first visit to Coast Dental. It starts with me entering the office, and you are in direct view with 3 dental assistants. Every single one of them was busy (you know working), and every single one of them looked up at me, smiled, acknowledged me, said hi, and offered to help me sign in. (Literally never happens at any doctor's office you go to). I then sit down (in this beautiful comforting lobby), pull out my homework expecting a 20-30 minute wait time (per usual in doctors' offices), and I do not even think I read 1-2 pages and I was already called back. Debbie brings me back (super nice) and informs me that because I am a new patient I am only here to get X-rays. I'm a tad bit bummed, and I say so because I thought I had also scheduled a cleaning too, but I had not. Oh well, I shall be back again. Already enjoying the experience -and I hate dental offices. Anyways....X-rays are given in your seat (best thing ever), and they have the tiniest chip thing (because I am very sensitive, and they talked me through the whole thing and made me feel so comfortable). After X-rays are done, Debbie managed to talk to Natalie -the hygienist- and she can see me after all! She does her exam, and then performs the cleaning. Let me just say, first off best cleaning ever. I could actually tell a difference. But also, I could see it in the way she cleaned my teeth. She went over and over and over again making sure every teeth was cleaned properly (no joke). All the while giving me great advice on what I should use, and what would help me in the long run. Also, supppppper friendly and sweet. I then went back to see Dr. Dylan Bale....where the real test was coming. See he didn't know but the previous dentist I had gone to had said I needed a crown....and I was wondering if a) this was true or b) I was getting ripped off-and clearly hoping I was. He performs his exam, and while I do have two cavities (story of my life -sweet tea and coffee are my downfall), they are baby ones, nowhere near the previous "crown needed." And even better they said they could get them done at the moment, saving me an office visit copay and having to take off more time from work. This literally NEVER HAPPENS. I did turn them down....because I had made prior commitments (to go to the gym! And I did). But obviously will be back again. I have literally had horrible experiences with previous dental offices. So I am so happy to say that I finally found my dentist! And ALLLLLLL the staff is amazing and great and really, really do care about their patients! Thank you, thank you for focusing on not only customer service but also the actual service itself.

Had a scheduled appointment, confirmed it multiple times, came in on time…read more Then waited there for 40 minutes only to be told that they have no time to fix my tooth, leaving me without a care over weekend. Not to mention the time I have wasted. I will never come here again and don't recommend it to anyone.

I am 9 months pregnant and I just wanted my teeth cleaned before having my baby. So coming in they…read moresaid I need x-rays, I asked why I needed an X-ray to get a cleaning (bc I m pregnant I can't get x-rays) and they said "we can tell you have a lot of red flags". I was like "oh wait I am not sure what I did wrong, I just don't understand why I would need them" they said we need you to leave. And he kicked me out, 9 months pregnant and all. I have never ever been treated like that before in my life, just incase some of you might have questions about your teeth - they don't tolerate that at all. So wild, not educating the patience or helping them get the right care. My husband called saying hey why are you treating my wife like this and the doc said I am twisting the words and was argumentative just to argue (that's not my personality). I have never met a doctor who does not appreciate question. In all sincerity I was actually trying to understand, but they clearly didn't like that. Really wished they treated me more kind. And I kind want people to know what to expect coming to this place, so that's why I am Leaving this review. Also, I just read the other reviews and I guess this isn't the first weird thing about x-rays! The senior hygiene lady was so mean to me too! I m not sure why this place can get away with treating people like this.

No one enjoys going to the dentist, but an office can and should make the visit friendly and…read moreprofessional. I have excellent teeth, but go for cleanings every 3 to 4 months to take care of my gums. On this visit, I was told I must get X-rays, fine no big deal. But when I did not want them the senior hygienist were essentially yelling at me. I will not name any names but the doctor essentially told me go somewhere else... He then sent me a letter" Thank you for visiting the practice you're going to need to find a new dentist" Wow that's after I already indicated I would find a new dentist. Thanks for the going away letter. I agreed to the X-rays because I needed a cleaning, my "new" hygienist loved to berate me the entire appointment commenting on my gums not being perfect or my slightly crooked bottom teeth. Mind you my teeth with the exception of 4 bottom teeth are perfectly straight. She told me to get bottom braces not once but 4 times. The doctor who sent me the lovely going away letter, who I've gone to for over 8 years spent about 15 seconds with me at my appointment. Instead of calling me to address my negative experience or even apologizing to keep my business, he sent a letter " Thank you for visiting our practice. Going forward your going need to find a new dentist". Going forward with this type of incredibly bad interaction , he will need to find new patients. To treat a long term patient like I'm disposable because they are too busy to deal with me, is just how unprofessional and terrible they acted towards me. Bye!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

By the time they informed me that it broke, I needed Invisalign. I had dental insurance that covered that, but this office required out of pocket payment up front then they said they would bill the insurance and reimburse me as the customer. This was unacceptable, not only did they not notice changes in my teeth but then they wanted to ignore my dental insurance. I would go elsewhere as they are not detail oriented and seem to be money driven practice.

Recently I had a few average experiences back home in CT, and I was in need of getting some work done on some old fillings, and repairing some other issues. The whole staff here was amazing from the first phone call to the last office visit. Dr. Arauz was flat out the most capable of any dentist I've met in my 51 years. Great personality and he explained everything in careful detail, and I appreciated the time he took to with explain everything. Great personalities throughout and a relaxing setting. The atmosphere is more like a spa than a dental practice. I dealt with 2 hygienists on consecutive days and they were both 5 stars on both service and personalities. Last but not least, equipment was state of the art, and the place was spotless. Great location and was centrally located, with its own private office and parking lot just a few steps from the door. If you're new in town or if you're thinking about ending it with your current dental practice....check this place out, you won't be sorry!!!
