Visiting a friend in Tampa and was lucky enough to get my first facial here. Angela did my treatment and she was amazing. I got a Yonka vitamin C treatment and gel mask. I had an appointment for my crown today, and knowing that I would receive local anesthesia made me very anxious and nervous. Both Dr. Jennifer Kucko, DDS, and dental assistant Nio helped me tremendously to stay calm and ensured everything was alright with me before starting any work. Nio's exceptional communication and calming presence made a world of difference during my appointment. Their professionalism and empathy truly stood out, making my experience much more comfortable and reassuring.This clinic is in the best location in Tampa, and I strongly recommend it. DO NOT GO TO THIS DENTIST!! I Warn you to stay away! I got 8 veneers installed by Marnie Bauer less than 2 years ago at a cost of over $17,000 and 2 of my veneers have already broken off and had to be replaced. Both times I have gone to the Dental Walk In Clinic to get the new veneers made and installed same day since they have a lab in house and Marnie Bauer does not and is hardly ever open anyway. New veneers should not be breaking like this. I have had an orthodontist, a dentist, and a dental surgeon all tell me that the reason this is happening is because the teeth underneath were not prepped properly and the work was sloppy. They have all told me I will soon need every single veneer replaced which has not been already as they're going to all fall off or break due to the poor workmanship. I am absolutely disgusted that they wasted my money and I warn anyone considering getting veneers here to think again! read more

Over billing beyond contracted in network insurance rates. Suspicious work that was recommended by them to drill and refill fillings. The recommended work only caused issues including pain. More work (a root canal) had to be performed to correct the issue. I had to have Insurance predetermine my costs because i began to question the billing practices. They were then doubling what insurance provided as coverage as a direct bil to me. Brought to their attention they defended as lab costs. Highly regret not getting a second opinion when they suggested work beyond a simple cleaning. They will no longer be my dentist after 3 years. I found a new dentist that has no hidden costs and completed the work they started flawlessly (the crown). read more

We moved to Tampa from NYC in 2002 and my wife needed a dental implant. At the time we were referred to a DDS at Coastal Dental who performed the surgery. Fast forward 21 years and my wife once again is in need of another implant. An oral surgeon at a different office had gotten the process started, but sadly that practice closed. Unbeknownst to us, we landed back with Dr Bauer (she had married so the last name had changed). Our initial consultation went swimmingly, especially once we all discovered that she had performed the initial implant of many years ago. It's a small world out there, but the cream of the crop always seems to rise to the surface. Also, kudos to the staff; all are real friendly and happy to be on the job. This is a top notch practice. I have been a patient at Bauer Dentistry. I have been satisfied with the care I have been provided. My recent experience with the office has led me to seek dental care at another office. I had 2 crowns done back in August. When I received my EOB from my insurance company, it showed that I was overcharged. I called Bauer Dentistry and was told I had a credit of $290. I asked to be sent a check. Never received it. Called the woman I spoke to and emailed her, but didn't get a response for many weeks. Then she told me she was looking into it with their insurance specialist and would get back to me. Never heard back. Called again and ended up speaking with another woman. After a few weeks, she told me the credit was now $167. She could not give me an explanation of the difference. Again, I asked for a check. Two weeks later, I got a check for $67. Called again, but no return call. If I could give them 0 stars I would. read more

I find it very interesting that this dental office either gets a 5 or 1, I hope if you are reading these you take the 1 stars with the grain of salt they should be given. I hate the dentist, I hate the whole process, I hate how long it takes, I hate how much it costs I hate keeping my mouth open that wide for that long, if you know me this is actually funny. All that being said I was so very impressed with Dr. Bauers office staff and overall experience. Their attention to detail, they're obvious and enthusiastic teamwork, and their overall professionalism is what is bringing me back, having me bring my child and telling anybody who will listen if you've got to go to the dentist see Dr. Bauer. With Dentists offices on every corner and the expensive dental work it is truly a wonderful thing to find a practice that makes you want to go out of your way to compliment them. Everyone on the staff in the office and who dealt with us was amazing. I personally had to have a root canal and and Crown although costly as dental work is, I found it interesting that the Dr. B found a cavity next to the tooth she was working on and didn't charge me additional to fill it because I was already numb. Dr Marnie Bauer is THE BEST Dentist! She has been taking care of not only my teeth, but my husband and kids teeth for well over 10 years. The care at her office is outstanding! The moment you walk through her doors you feel the love that they have for their patients. The technology the office has in this office is amazing. It's close to full service as you can get without going from specialist to specialist. Personally I have teeth that they are watching for a possible root canal. At this time they told me it's not worth it to do right now. Any other dentist would make you get one just so they can charge insurance and you, but not Dr Marnie Bauer. This review is long overdue! I was a patient of Marnie's for almost 3 years. When I accepted a promotion to transfer to a new city for work, I was devastated to "break up" with my favorite dentist. Marnie and her entire staff were always professional and such a joy to be around. There is a true artistry to Dr. Bauer's work that is difficult to find in most practices. I can honestly say that I looked forward to my visits to her office. Fortunately and thankfully, when my time came to move on, I was recommended to the dentist whom she trained underneath that conveniently practices in my new city. I've gone to Dr. Bauer's office a couple times and had the best dental experience of my life. Eve and Dr. Freddy are the best! Eve is the first hygienist to clean my teeth without inflicting any pain or uncomfortableness. She is warm, easy to talk to and her many years of experience show. Dr. Freddy diagnosed a massive cavity that other dentists missed for years and did all he could to save the tooth, rather than go right to a root canal, which I'm certain many dentists would have resorted to. He had to hollow out the majority of the tooth and somehow 4 days later I have almost no pain! I would highly recommend both of them. read more

Would give zero stars based upon my experience with Dr. Marnie Bauer. I rarely write a bad review but I suffered so much damage to my dental health here (jaw problems, failed restorations, painful crown and bite problems that I didn't have before coming here for treatment) and so much pain and other issues as a result of treatment I received here. Experienced very concerning incident with one of their dental assistants who was doing things she should never have been doing. There were so many issues that were deeply troubling. To add insult to injury the office charged me in error, billing me and my insurance for things they did not do, overcharging me...the list goes on. Communications and quality issues and some really bizarre office manager who seems committed only to making sure patients have a terrible experience trying to get their billing statement correct. Jen never did correct the bill. As other reviewers have made mention- Jen is very difficult. Dr. Bauer did not provide me with good care or treatment. Most painful dentist visit of my life. Took almost 2 hours to scrape my teeth until they bled! Then the doctor came in to examine me and said I have 10 cavities and may need 2-3 root canals. I'm a 23 year old healthy individual, I brush 2x a day, floss a few times a week and have minimal coffee/tea/soda intake. Pretty sure it was just a money grab. Dr. Bauer and her staff are excellent. Recently, an old filling by another dentist fell out and I found myself in incredible pain and in need of a root canal and crown. Dr. Bauer allowed me to come in after hours for an emergency temp filling to stop the pain. They took me the very next day for the procedure. Worst "care" provider of any type that I've ever had. Went there over a year ago and have been in pain ever since. I had 3 concerns going in, none were addressed in my care plan and by the time all was said and done I just wanted to get out of there not ask for my other concerns to be addressed. I spent $4000+ (post insurance) and several hours for her intern or assistant or whatever he is to replace old cavities with their expensive ones. He had to repeat things because he was experimenting with new techniques and failing at them. The process was 3 steps- 4 hrs, 4 hrs and then 5.5 hrs of him fumbling around. The anesthetic had completely worn off but I had to leave so didn't have time to wait for another shot to take effect so he finished with me feeling everything, including my tooth crumbling and breaking from his ripping off the first attempt. I felt with my tongue that there was less tooth than before he tried his experiment. He was very kind and sorry and I don't blame him because he wasn't experienced and wasn't profiting off my suffering. She barely did any of the work herself and it was certainly priced for a professional. When he ran his plan by her she said "that's what you think will work best?" I should've known then but I was trusting. I walked in having no pain in my mouth and left feeling tooth sensitivity. I was told it would wear off but it's only gotten worse. I can no longer eat many things and often feel pain just from drinking water. I'm in medical school and no longer have dental insurance. I don't have time or the money to deal with my worsening dental situation. I literally think about this place 5x daily and how much I regret walking through that office door. I wanted a referral for my wisdom teeth to be taken out but she couldn't be bothered with something that would make someone else money and now they are coming in and crowding my mouth and I believe making the pain worse. My belief is that the only thing she cares about is making money. Maybe I'm wrong but that's my experience- spending a ton of money just to walk out worse off. If you do go here, just be in control of your care and DO NOT TRUST THAT THEY HAVE YOUR INTERESTS IN MIND. read more

Absolute highway robbery! Beware! I went to Dr. Bauer's office for a routine 6 month cleaning. I am a healthy individual, brush everyday, don't smoke, and visit the dentist for a cleaning every 6 months. Dr. Bauer told me I would need 5 or 6 cavities and a crown done! When 6 months prior I saw my general dentist who I had been seeing for years (I went to see Dr. Bauer because I moved) and everything was fine! So apparently in 6 months time, my mouth needed 6 cavities and a crown!? Let alone, their office made me buy this $25 toothpaste with flouride because my teeth were so "horrible" it needed the $25 prescription toothpaste, when my entire life, I have NEVER been told by anyone that I have need a prescription toothpaste. I went for a second opinion at another firm in Tampa, and nothing was wrong, no cavities, no crown, nothing... They did mention flossing could be better, which of course we could all be better. Dr. Bauer is out for your money, how is it that other dentist recommend over the counter toothpaste/mouthwash, etc. but apparently through her you need prescription strength?? I would NOT recommend, I will NEVER be back and I have told everyone to stay away. read more
