Jackson and his assistant showed up on time and even waited 10 minutes with me running behind. He professionally communicated over the phone upon arrival and no one home. Jackson came prepared with the fixture and proper tools and even drop cloth to ensure everything was tidy. Once my old fluorescent fixture was removed it was wrapped up ensuring a tidy job. My new LED works great and looks fantastic! Jackson took the additional time for the right fit to cover the existing fixture preventing new paint. After inspection I was completely satisfied. I already have a few new jobs for them once the projects are within my budget. I will also note the office picks up the phone during hours which is a bonus talking to a real person. We used to say our house was rigged using a "Fisher Price My First Electrician" kit when the previous owners flipped it to sell more than a decade ago. We have had multiple Virginia Beach electrical companies and electricians come out to make repairs, expecting it would just be a continual problem for the remainder of the time we own this home. For the last of those repairs, we were referred to Paul Walker Electric. They were on time for their estimate, which was thorough, educational, honest, and more than fairly priced. The work was scheduled quickly and they sent a team of knowledgeable, polite, and personable licensed electricians to our home, arriving on time and ready to work. They respected our property, protecting everything they were working around with supplies they brought with them, covered their shoes, vacuumed, and swept behind themselves each step of the way. They even pet and socialized with my senior dog who was annoyingly under their feet the whole time, without a single complaint. They took the time to troubleshoot and "undo" the irresponsible and unconventional wiring the previous owners installed and other repair companies ignored and just patched. We used them for multiple fan wiring and installation projects, outlet repair, receptacle installation, light wiring, and porch light installation, and could not be impressed more. They even sent an additional crew member in the afternoon when it looked like they might not be finished before the end of the day to ensure they met the timeline in the estimate. This was impressive, to say the least, we are so used to "we'll be back another time to fix..." One of the fans (we purchased) they installed had a factory defect, so they even took the time to uninstall it so we could return it to the store we bought it from. When the new one arrived a couple of weeks later and my husband was installing it (since they had already had it all set up to be wired), they even answered questions about a step he was confused about - on a Saturday, having one of their installation technicians call us to walk us through. That was unheard of for us, what a way to go above and beyond to ensure the job they started was completed properly. We cannot be more impressed and would recommend Paul Walker Electric to any and all who will listen. I did not stop talking about how impressed I was for weeks, giving their number to anyone who would listen and will continue to do so. These guys really helped with a lot of work around the house. I need a lot of stuff connected to the electrical panel along with new outlets placed and replaced! In my opinion, it was kind of a big job! At the very least, it meant they had to crawl in the crawlspace. It actually took him two days to complete all the work! They didn't leave my house a mess. I had them out to install a electric vehicle charger to my siding. They did an excellent job. The breaker box was installed with a 50 amp breaker and they ran all wires in conduit and caulked everything to the siding. All plugs got installed in a weather proof housing. I called them to relocate a switch to an adjacent wall. They did a job in a terrible way. They removed a four switches with a dime and put a three switches with a dime. In addition they left a big hole in my wall and took away my previous switches that worked very well, without asking . I called the same day to have back my switches, but they didn't come back. I've been putting up a new garage. I received four quotes for the wiring for the job. Paul's was the most reasonable and his conduct and his workers' conduct were very professional. The wiring was well done and everything looks great. My foreman and concrete guy and inspector were all impressed with the wiring and outlets. After they arrived, the workers put in the agreed number of outlets in the most sensible locations, but I decided it wasn't enough. They were happy to add a few more outlets. It cost me another $100 for the additional 4 outlets. I had another electrician quote me $100 apiece for each additional light or outlet that we wanted installed. Everywhere there's danger of putting a nail or screw into something electrical, there's a metal bracket installed to prevent the problem. The exterior outlet looks great and is sufficiently weatherproofed. They installed an extra conduit in case I want to run TV or Internet in the future for no additional fee. They even put up my interior lights for me. I found Paul through a co-worker who's had his fair share of houses and hired many contractors. I'm confident that Paul will give you a competitive estimate and his work will be second to none. read more

A little disappointed in this company after an initial great experience less than two years ago. Called company due to blue flashes of light coming from the switches installed by them, was hoping that they would stand by their work but I would have been required to pay another service fee.
