Feral Affairs Network (FAN) wants to give a shout out to Jason Parker with Parker Electric. Jason updated the electricity in FAN's Rescue and Recovery Center by installing a 240 line and new circuit box strictly for the Center; he ran a separate outlet for the air conditioner; he installed a new heater which will keep the cats warmer in cold weather; and he put in a brighter, more energy efficient light in the attached outdoor catio. Jason graciously gave us a extremely friendly nonprofit discount on his labor! If you need electrical work done, call Jason at Parker Electric. Feral Affairs Network (FAN) is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization helping address the overpopulation of community, or feral, cats in Hampton Roads, Virginia. Our goal is to trap, neuter (and vaccinate) and return feral cats to their home environment while providing support to the community caretakers who feed and look after the colonies. Ultimately, our work results in happy, healthy and safe communities for cats. The FAN volunteer team works to reduce the overpopulation and suffering of community cats. Through our work, we also provide much-needed relief to overcrowded municipal animal shelters and easing taxpayer burdens. read more

Amazing service and affordable pricing! I would highly recommend Parker Electric for your electrical needs.

Jason was great. Had some indoor and outdoor work done and he was thorough, professional, and best of all, he persevered. It was raining and misting outside and he worked right through it. Funny guy, loved his humor. I will definitely use his services in the future. read more

Great experience - So glad to have a reliable electrician who is familiar with the house and very knowledgeable. Mr. Parker is upfront about costs and advises against unnecessary projects, even if they would be more costly for the customer. The quality of his work is unmatched read more

Jason has great customer service, a wealth of knowledge. Quick and efficient work. Short wait times for appointments.

I wanted to replace two outdoor fixtures and were told it would be 4 weeks before they could schedule me but later that day I received a call that Jason was done with his scheduled job and would be at my house in 20 minutes. He replaced the fixtures and the price was very reasonable. Great service, read more

This is a long due review. I called Parker Electric last year to install an indoor and outdoor outlet in my house and overall the service was fantastic. Absolutely no issues getting in contact and no hassles setting up the appointment. Jason showed up on time, was very professional, knowledgable and honest when it came to completing the work. I called back a few months later to have some other cabling run in my house and once again, Parker Electric did not disappoint one bit. I would have zero hesitation calling Parker Electric for any electrical work that I needed to get done and highly recommend Parker Electric to anyone else. read more

Jason was great. He installed recessed kitchen lights and pendant lights over island from 11 foot ceiling and new remote ceiling fan and dimmers and all done quickly and very fair price. Great value. read more

Had a ceiling fan installed in my kitchen. Very professional and very reasonably priced. I will be using them again soon for another project. The 5 star reviews speak for themselves. Patronize this business if you want it done right. read more

Jason was awesome! He fixed three outlets and was a joy to talk to. I will never use another company after finding Jason.

Excellent service, fair prices, on-time for appointments, friendly, respectful and experienced. I would recommend Parker Electric to my mom, that's how great the service is. Jason is a professional, he replaced all of the builders ceiling fans, installed a 3 tier chandelier in my 13 foot ceiling, installed LED mirrors and light fixtures in my master bath and guest bath and installed smart switches on all of my lights and ceiling fans. When the builders electrician told me it was impossible to place my smart closet on a dedicated circuit breaker (after construction was completed) Jason proved him wrong. I can't say enough great things about this company. read more

Great service, reasonable price. Found my panel issue in minutes (loose neutral wire) and installed an outdoor light fixture, and took the time to check other wires in panel to make sure they were tight and safe. He definitely puts in the effort to make sure it's right. Will definitely use again. read more

Excellent work!! Showed up masked and ready to go. Centered a bathroom vanity (cannot believe this place was built without the light being centered, but in 94 I guess it wasn't a priority). Changed the attic light to a switch instead of pull, replaced the single light and installed 2 more so you can see in the entire attic (I can't believe this place was built with only one light installed by the door and not in the middle of the attic, but in 94...you've heard that one). Excellent work, reasonable price. I highly recommend Parker. read more

Mr. and Mrs. Parker run Parker Electric together and they do an awesome job in doing so. I had some upgrades that I wanted to be done on a home I just purchased. I reached out via Yelp and Megan (Mrs. Parker) set up my appointment on a day that worked around my busy schedule. Not only that, she was patient with my e-mails and answered all my questions with knowledge and expertise. If there wasn't something she was too sure about, she was honest about it, got the opinion of her husband, Mr. Jason Parker, and would follow-up within a reasonable amount of time. The way she schedules Jason's schedule is done in a manner so that Jason isn't worn out on install day. This is great because you can have the confidence that your time with Jason will be efficient and the work will be done with quality. Jason, came by the house and offered a free quote on the various projects I wanted done which included the installation of recessed lighting on dimmers, installation of a ceiling fan, addition of power and coax outlets over my fireplace, Nest doorbell and thermostat installation, A LOT of rewiring of switches, and TV mounting. I was quoted about 11+ hours of work at the time. On installation day, Jason was on time and efficient. He finished in ahead of schedule and the work done EXCEEDED my expectations. Not once did he take a break nor did he ever get distracted by his cell phone. I even offered him lunch and coffee numerous times, but he refused on the basis that it wouldn't be the best use of his time. He helped guide me on some decisions that my fiancé and I weren't too sure about and not once did he "huff and puff" about our wishes. On top of that, he was very easy to talk to and shared many life stories that helped the time pass by --- a very personable guy, if I must say so myself. His work is clean and is done with efficiency. His 32+ years of experience definitely reflects in the job he did. Overall, I would highly recommend Parker Electrician --- in fact, I already referred a family friend the same night he finished the project at my home. The costs were more than fair and you can tell Mr. and Mrs. Parker are NOT out there to wring out as much as they can get out of you. They are both honest people running an honest business. I will be using them again in the near future for other electrician needs that I held off on for the moment and would not hesitate to use them for any other electrical needs I may have in the future. read more

Parker Electric was fantastic to deal with from start to finish. Work is conducted by owner therefore you know you're going to get a quality "product" as it's his name on the line. Jason and his wife did not disappoint. They maintained open lines of communication and provided a fair quote and when it was all said and done they managed to complete the work for less than was quoted...which hardly ever happens. I will definitely recommend Parker Electric to anyone looking for an electrician. read more

One word, EXCELLENT. We have used Parker Electric for fan installations, light installations, new outlet construction, new electrical systems, shed lights, circuit work... always on time, ethical, hard working, aesthetically pleasing, honest, personable and knowledgeable. Jason is a licensed electrician with many years experience. You can trust his work and enjoy his company while you are at it. Megen manages the schedules, the office, and any concerns you may have regarding service. She keeps tight control of job scheduling so each client gets valuable time with the electrician. We have always been very impressed and the pricing is reasonable. read more

Megan responded to my Yelp request quickly, gave me a ballpark estimate & set up an appointment for the following week. Jason called me when he was on the way, finished the work in a timely manner & followed up with a picture of the installed outlet over the microwave. (Another contractor had said they'd need to take the cabinets down, cut the drywall and wanted to charge triple the cost! None of this was necessary.) Parker will be my go-to electrician going forward, it doesn't get any more professional than this! read more

Jason Parker is clearly someone dedicated to his trade. He is a true electrician and not a small piece of a huge company. Rarely seen in Hampton Roads, Mr. Parker and his wife are committed to providing an outstanding service experience. At no time did we feel like we were being treated like a blank check. Jason Parker did what we needed and was happy to assess other potential concerns of ours. He showed up as promised and did the job we wanted done; no upsell, no gouging. Big custom job or small install like ours, I would trust Parker with any of our electrical projects. They have gained a customer! read more

Jason has helped us with our electrical needs for over ten years, and we cannot recommend him more. He has repeatedly gone above and beyond what we expected from him--he even came to our renovation site early to finish our daughter's room so it would be ready when we moved back in. He knows our family, knows what we like, and makes recommendations to help our decisions along the way. He truly takes an interest in his clients, and he and Meagan run a tight schedule so I know we are always treated honestly and fairly. I would give 20 stars if available! read more

Great customer service! Mr Parker came early before the crazy heat to check on my attic fan! I highly recommend them for service!

I was looking for someone to install a 30 amp outlet outside for a portable generator. After getting a few quotes, not only was Parker Electric the best value, I was also able to get a quote without making a separate appointment. Pics from my phone were just fine. Jason came out, did the work on time and even gave me some pointers on how to operate my generator. I will hire Parker Electric when I have a need for an electrician in the future. read more

Parker electric did a great job installing our ceiling fan and the wiring for it. He even checked our garage to see how we can efficiently add more power outlets to it. I think we found our go-to electrician for many, many years to come! Great service for unbeatable price. read more

Jason did a great job! He was very punctual and professional. He got the job done quickly and his charge was slightly below his estimate!! He even cleaned up at the end of the job. Thank you Jason for some great work! read more

We have used Parker Electric on several different occasion; the largest project involved upgrading our home's electrical panel. Megan and Jason are such wonderful people to work with--extremely courteous and professional. Jason is an obvious master electrician. He is efficient, detailed oriented, highly skilled and above all, HONEST. I noticed this was mentioned in several other reviews and I could not agree more. Their prices runs about average but you will not get better service. We plan to use him exclusively, even if that means we have to wait in queue. The job will be done right and on time by a highly skilled electrician who happens to be a pretty good guy, too. Can't praise this company enough! read more

Megan was very helpful in working with my daughter to schedule a whole house surge protector installation. Jason was prompt and efficient doing the installation. And the price was very reasonable. I highly recommend Parker Electric. read more

I saw the great reviews on yelp for Parker Electric so I decided to try to see if they would come to South Mills, NC (just across the border) and give a quote for some recessed lighting in the kitchen. Megan Parker sent an email that night and said that is no problem. She scheduled Jason to come out on a Saturday. He came and looked at what was needed and asked if I wanted to do the living room too. I said sure add that as optional. He gave me a quote with everything broken down and easy to understand. After seeing how much it was going to be I decided to do the all the rooms. So the kitchen, eating area and living room for a total of 19 recessed fixtures. Jason came out and did all of it plus re-wire the mess the previous owner left, all in 6 hours. He was prompt both times he came and very professional. I'll be using Parker again in the fall to wire up my generator to the electrical panel. Thank you again to Jason and Megan for the professional service. I highly recommend you. Everything works great! read more
