Great place for a quick photo shoot, nothing fancy just a big pink wall. Hard to get parking and it's so hot outside.

Are the flock of people coming for the wall or the store? 100% the wall. It's a PINK wall, nothing special except it's just one of those icons that symbolize "I'm a tourist visiting LA". *Guilty* If you know your angles, shadows, lighting, and are good with the first couple of pics you take *Guilty*, you will get irked by the number of tourists who don't. I say this, because THEY WILL WASTE SO MUCH TIME, it doesn't even make sense. Expect a crowd, and expect that same crowd to stay there for 30 mins... Once again, nothing special. INSIDE Paul Smith, is a different story. Be amazed at the quality, design, and PRICE of the actual store itself. I wanted to dress my man in all the fine things found here, but once I saw the prices... I shuffled back outside.

This photo was taken outside the shop once I'd purchased my cardigan !

I love to wear Paul Smith as every design is unique. And coming from England and finding this shop was a real surprise. Really good trendy gear The staff are all really helpful and knowledgeable I'd really recommend it and there's an amazing pink wall there also which is a massive hit with non Paul Smith fans

Very crowded since this is a hot spot for photogenic shots. The wall is divided into different slots for individuals or groups to go in. Street parkings are available right in front and people come and go very quick. Every girls should come here for the photos. The pink wall makes you look like a princess.

Great outdoor wall for amazing portraits! I recently had a photoshoot here and had a great time. Photographers! If you are planning to have a session here, you are NOT allowed to take pictures on the wall next to the store's parking lot. I recommend going on the side on Melrose Avenue and take your pictures there. If you have a professional camera, you can only take pictures here. Besides that small hiccup, the area is full of fun and interesting features perfect for a golden hour photoshoot! #icrphotography

I didnt know that a building with a pink wall would be so popular. You have people dropping by every few minutes just to take pictures against the wall. Sometimes there is a line and you have to wait your turn. It's crazy! Im glad that the store owner and the valet/security guy are cool with people taking pictures because most of the foot traffic is for the wall not the store. Unfortunately, they do not allow you to take pictures with a DSLR camera because they said the reflection of the pink wall might damage your camera lense and they dont want to be responsible. I was little puzzled about this.

Let's be honest, people come here for the gram photos. I wouldn't have come or even heard of this place if it weren't for my gf who saw some photos online. The security guard there knew the drill and couldn't have been more kind. Told us we were welcome to take photos without buying anything as long as we didn't block the fire lane. Good thing cuz I normally wouldn't shop at Paul Smith given that I skew more towards streetwear than prep wear.

Paul Smith has different decoration styles across the world, and the store located in LA is very iconic and especially cyber popular. The painting was rainbow colors about three years ago, and now the wall is completely pink. More people taking photos outside than shoppers inside.

Such an incredible shopping experience. I came into the store with a friend of mine (both tourists- I'm from the San Francisco area while he and our friends are from Norway) and we were greeted warmly and openly by the assistant manager, Jose Lemus with an offer for water of our preference while we looked around. He made our experience at Paul Smith unique and unforgettable- showing us the most recent (at the time) water resistant suits made specially for the Men In Black International movie and showing us all the high quality fabrics and eccentric patterns used in that line, and eventually introducing us to everything else in store. Everything from the artwork, colors, additional furniture, layout/product placement was aesthetically pleasing and went perfectly together. As we were going through the store and more friends came to join in on the walk-through, he gave us specific, individual style advice and recommendations. We were loving everything he picked out and were having a great time. Working in events and customer satisfaction, I really appreciated the extra care Jose gave to my friends and me this day, and I would highly recommend anyone to visit this store when you're in Los Angeles on the inside, and not just for the pink wall photo op!

Finally made it to the famous Pink wall. I don't think you can write much about a wall. I do wish they repaint the wall or wash the wall. There's so many stain or black marks from people stepping on the wall when taking pictures. Parking was easy to find next to this wall.

Sidewalk parking !! The store's lot is for customers only. But who's actually trying to shop there, we all came for the instagram photos. The pink wall was VERY pink Love how they have a sign for general rules of photography. You'll most likely have to wait in line just to get a photo with this pink wall. Oh & don't forget to take the typical "look at the distance, but not the camera" photo If I'm ever on this side, always down to stop by

The famous Pink Wall is here in Melrose Place. It really is a fantastic background for photos! The Paul Smith store was really nice.

It's a pink wall that's getting very popular for pictures recently. You'll find other people here also taking pictures but there's plenty of space to go around. It's only worth it to come if you're close by or passing by.

Cute place to take photos. Usually crowded with a bunch of girls posing but it doesn't take too long to get a shot by yourself.

Is the rainbow wall still gonna be there during the 30th?

Rainbow Wall was up until June 30th. It is back to their signature "Pink Wall" now.

On a recent trip to LA I ran out of time and missed the trip to the great pink mecca that has been created on Melrose.

It turns out that that pleasure is amplified when I shop in person at a store like Eggy. I'd been aware of this store for a while and always figured it was Korean-owned, as "eggy" sounds like the Korean word for "baby." This suspicion was confirmed when I met the owner a few years ago (I'm friends with her cousin, it turns out). I went for the first time last month, to exchange a gift from his Aunty Carol and Uncle Kevin: a soft, adorable sleeper that I wanted to get in a bigger size (they got him a really nice wooden dancing alligator toy too, also from Eggy). The sales lady was very helpful. She found the order and looked for the sleeper, but unfortunately, it didn't come in the size I needed. I returned the sleeper for store credit, which I immediately spent--and then some--and then some more--on a whole fall wardrobe for my son. The store was just so attractive, and so full of stylish, high quality clothes, I went full Pretty Woman on the baby boy racks. I pulled item after item (including a complete three-piece outfit as modeled by one of the little mannequins) and the sales lady brought me everything they had in my kid's size. At one point, I made her look at pictures of him and she--a woman who sells expensive children's clothes to L.A. parents!--said, "You're obsessed." I ended up buying a bunch of clothes, which I realized as I was leaving are likely to go on sale by the time my son is big/cold enough to wear them in a couple of months. My mother would be ashamed of me, but I couldn't resist, and I'll be back to Eggy to get more nice clothes for my beautiful boy.

Sometimes we forget just how good we have it in LA with the plethora of neighborhood boutique shops…read moreright under our noses. Seaver - which is right in the middle of the West Third shopping stretch, just a couple of doors down from Joan's - is a great reminder of that fact. It's one of those quaint shops which makes you sigh a breath of relief knowing options still exist to spy a gift or great find, without making another trip to a cookie cutter mall with the rest of the sheep. Specializing in clothing (designed by the owner, Nathalie), gifts and little treasures, there's something here for just about everyone. We stumbled in after brunch and were amazed by the variety of unique offerings the shop is nearly overflowing with - designer rubber duckies (we left with "decorator duck"), vintage stripper cuff links, stenciled leatherette checkbook and ipod covers in yummy pastel colors for spring, magnets, soaps, custom aprons (that give Anthropologie a run for their money), some beautiful things for baby, and of course, clothes and accessories. Not all of Seaver's clothes fit my taste, but aside from the super fab aprons that actually make you want to cook, her brocade jackets are beautifully sewn and well worth the price of admission. If you're trying to find a special gift for someone hard to buy for, this boutique is not to be missed - not that you could miss the beautifully painted black and white floral exterior. Nathalie is a super helpful sweetheart, there's something for just about every budget, and she'll even gift wrap it for you before you go. LA doesn't get much better than that.

So nice. Helped me with everything I needed! One stop shop for any gifts you might need.read more
