Dr. Gallegos ripped my gums to shreds and pressed on my jaw joints so hard that I couldn't eat normally for over a week. When he was doing this he pressed his belly against the back of my head and every time i moved away he moved closer. This felt really creepy and uncontrollable. I called ahead and they insisted they could "set me up" with a mouth guard. When I spoke with Dr. Gallegos he insisted that over the counter was my best option and not to be stubborn. It turns out that they don't have the capability to make a mouth guard. This visit also cost me $400. Dr. Gallegos is rude and rough. He is physically and emotionally inappropriate.

There was no advance notice, which meant I wasted my time driving to the office, taking time away from work, and rearranging my schedule for nothing. After these repeated experiences, I've decided to transfer my daughters to another dental practice. Unfortunately, I can no longer recommend this office to other families.

I asked if they had the new radiation free DEXIS CARIVU technology and they did not, but they had said prior that they would not force me to get dirty ionizing radiation scans. But when I got to the office, I felt tricked. They said they wouldn't do the exam without forcing me to be exposed to the radiation cancer-causing scans. They tried claim the x-rays are low dose as ever as the industry has lied about for decades. However, there is no safe dose of ionizing radiation according to LNT, just look it up. IONIZING RADIATION IS A KNOWN CLASS 1 CARCINOGEN. The only safe dose is no dose. Everyone should be asking for the new dental technology and RADIATION-FREE DENTAL EXAMS! These dentists should not be forcing cancer-causing scans on their patients. The first rule of a healthcare provider should be to DO NO HARM. Especially for children.

Last year she caught an omission in my prescription (from university) as there were not prisms noted on the prescription. She made me aware of it, I got a new Rx and then proceeded to have the glasses made correctly. That saved me a lot of money, as I did not have to have the lenses made twice. She is always so cordial, efficient and knowledgeable. I just ordered another set of lenses put into frames and the whole process was smooth as silk. Hope to work with her again.

I questioned her, but she said it was common dental practice to drill out a cavity, then leave the hole to be sealed up with a new crown and cement. (NOTE: later, I reviewed her bill of December, 2025, which listed a "core buildup" for $356 - which was NOT done!) It worked for about a month, then the pain began with high sensitivity. I finally went to a new dentist, who had a difficult time removing her crown, cleaning out and filling the large hole, and installing a new crown. Obviously, I would not return to El Dorado dentistry. I suggest she owes money for procedures not done.

He refused essentially saying it was between me and the insurance company ... Excerpt they only consider changes from a Dr. It cost me significantly. 1 star for for this lack of help. I would recommend him if insurance isn't part of your picture.

I am so happy that I don't have to look elsewhere for a dentist--and don't have to be afraid! (I'm not particularly afraid of dentists, but aren't we all a bit nervous about dental work?)
