I…read moream a very particular and picky person when it comes to many things, especially so when selecting a new pair of glasses; both lenses and frames. After choosing to spend more than one afternoon visiting the store, and trying out numerous different frames, I eventually zoned in on a beautiful pair of Italian, hand crafted, Oliver Peoples. During my decision-making and eventual purchase of these glasses, I worked with Valerie who was extremely patient and helpful. She went out of her way to spend time with me in answering any detailed questions I had and also coordinated with her supplier to have certain styles (that were just released, or colors they were not carrying at the time) brought into the store for me so that I could see them in person, instead of simply online or in the catalog. Derick who also works at the store was very helpful and stayed up-to-date on my purchase process so he was able to provide input on some of the questions I had. When I finally chose the style and color (Cocobolo) of the frames, Valerie ordered more than three pairs because the glasses are handmade, and therefore each pattern is unique, allowing me to have a selection of patterns and pick the one that appealed to me the most :) At no time whatsoever did I feel that there was any pressure on me to make a purchase for the sake of a sale, which is something I absolutely abhor coming across at any store. There was also a lot of technical discussion since I was deciding on a special pair of lenses that were made out of a material that limits blue light damage to the retina and ones sleep pattern due to heavy computer/smart phone usage. The lens manufacturer is BluTech and Valerie and I both consulted with the manufacturer directly on the best type of anti glare and anti reflective coating for use with these lenses. I was even given the flexibility to completely switch out my lenses, or frames, or both within a month if I was dissatisfied. It's been more than a month and I have not had a single reason to be dissatisfied. Keep up the great service!

They are more than likely only on Groupon for exposure because this place is top notch. Every staff member I encountered here was great. To be honest if it wasn't for Michelle I probably would've never been brave enough to do it. She is beyond thorough at explaining what to expect the day of surgery. On the day of my surgery Dr Stetson walked in to introduce hisself. He spoke with me and my mom. I was very surprised they allowed my mom to come back for this part since I did have my surgery during "Covid times." So glad they did tho. I was so nervous I thought I was gonna walk out of there. Michelle walked in the room and told me everything was gonna be fine. Dr Stetson did a good job at telling me step by step exactly what he was doing every step of the way. He has a calm and reassuring voice. I would choose Diamond all over again if I had to. I followed my aftercare instructions to a t and had no problems. I have entertained the idea of getting LASIK years ago, but after finding out that I was not a candidate for LASIK and had to get PRK instead, I was turned off. The recovery period was quite frightening. But one morning while listening to the Bert Show, he mentioned that he was going to Diamond to get his eyes redone. I researched the company and was impressed by the reviews. I scheduled a consult and things just took off from there. I had a consult on a Tuesday, and was getting surgery on that following Thursday. I will admit that Chris is a little overzealous and pushy with his selling technique, but everyone in the office is very pleasant and knowledgeable. To add to my sense of security, my eye doctor, Dr. Warstadt was able to vouch for one of the doctors at Diamond (Dr. M. McKibbon), stating that he is aware of her skills, so much so, that he tried to hire her. The office itself is clean, they use state of the art technology, and they welcome you with snacks and drinks. I was so nervous about the procedure, but it was not painful and they did everything they could to keep me relaxed, During the procedure they offered me stress balls or a Falcons teddy bear. I opted for the bear. After the surgery, I was still feeling overwhelmed so they let me rest feet up as long as I needed and brought me an ice pack, water and offered me a blanket. I felt cared for and not rushed. I really appreciate that. Before, during and after, I have been able to ask any and all questions that come to mind, and they make it a point to answer each question thoroughly and clearly as possible. Also, the post-op schedule they give you is awesome, It works well for my type-A personality, with check boxes to notate when you take your medications. I would definitely recommend Diamond and Dr. Stetson to anyone who is interested in eye surgery. P.S. Chris knew that I am a fan of the Bert Show and purposely scheduled my surgery for around the same time as Bert's so I could meet him! I met Bert,and he is a sweetheart. I was hesitant about typing this because I don't want to seem like a crazed stalker fan, but I decided to post anyway to show the extent of service that Diamond is committed to. So think of me as you may, but know that Diamond is top-notch!

So, I finally got rid of, as my fiance' described, my "goggles," and got the LASIK. I decided to…read morego with Emory becasue that's where I go to grad school, and their reputation is fantastic. The place itself is really nice; and they have free drinks, coffee and snacks in the waiting room. They do a very thorough job mapping your eyes before they even tell you if you're a good candidate or not. All the equipment is really fancy and high-tech, and the nurses and doctors are very nice and knowledgable. The actual surgery takes about 5-10 minutes, and isn't painful. It's a little weird having you eyes propped open like on Clockwork Orange, but what ya gonna do... My initial surgery was 8 months ago, and they totally give you a parting gift when you leave. Mine was a folding chair with a beer holder. Sweet. I just had an enhancement. Many people have to get this. Basically I went in and had my right eye done again. This is all included in the price. Each time they also give you a package with some eye drops (Rx and regular), sexy goggles to protect your eyes and sunglasses. With a student discount, it was $1500 an eye. I'm kinda frugal, but they are my eyeballs, you know? They do have payment plans where you can pay it off in one year with no interest. Oh, I used Dr. Randelman, but I'm sure they're all good.

I saw Dr. Rabitsch this week and was very impressed by her and by the practice as a whole. I think I will be staying here for a good long time. I have an old eye injury that means I have to exercise extra care and also have severe dry eye. In searching for a new eye doctor home, I created one-pager for new doctors just so I don't need to explain timeline of the injury, followup treatment and key diagnoses. For the first time in visiting new eye doctors, it was 100% clear to me that yes, Dr. Rabitsch had looked at the medical paperwork I'd filled out ahead of time. Not only that, but the nurse/assistant who saw me prior to seeing Dr. R also had reviewed the paperwork. Wow. That seems so simple, but having been to other eye doctors in the past couple years, it's not the norm. Both the assistant and doctor also repeatedly checked into to make sure they knew my goals in coming and were great about explaining what they were doing and why. I ended up getting an eye exam (which I needed, but hadn't planned on) and while the Dr. invited me to use their optical department, there wasn't any hard sell. Due to my injury, I tend to need a new, expensive prescription about every year, so I mentioned a place I get my glasses. She shared that they have a budget frame line and gave me a rough estimate of what my prescription would likely cost there. That is just the info I need without feeling guilty b/c I'm not immediately planning to get glasses there, and as I look at getting my glasses made, I may very well end up back at the practice to purchase them. Yes, as one review noted, there may be a little extra wait time, but for a doctor one doesn't generally see that often, I can live with wait time if I know and trust that the medical team is going to be thorough in the exam and be clear about their explanations to me.

When I had asked about a few concerns over the phone, Sharon checked for me by asking Dr. Serrano right away while I was still on the line. The office easy to find, close to I-85, with easy free parking. The waiting room and treatment room was clean and up to date. They brought me back right on time for my appointment. Dr. Serrano was friendly and listened carefully to everything I said. I felt that he was very thorough in his exam. He explained what he was doing as he went along so there were no surprises. I recommend Dr. Serrano and his team. I will be bringing my wife for her checkup as well.

I wear a combination of contact lenses, glasses, and bioptic glasses. Dr. Serrano has applied his superior professional knowledge and tenacious persistence to optimize my multiple prescriptions. Thanks to Dr Serrano I now have the best corrected vision I have ever had since my latest surgery. Many of Dr Serrano's patients are children. I have seen how joyfully he interacts with them and how warmly they respond. The entire staff is very child friendly, including the canine goodwill ambassador. They... - focus on research rather than profit, which mean they generally carry the latest technology - better scores for patient happiness since EEC hypothetically would value people over profits - offer top tier graduate and professional programs (like their medical programs) My entire experience, from pre-ops to my actual eye surgery to my post-op appointment, was for the most part seamless thanks to Dr. Praneetha Thulasi. I asked her so many questions, and she never once answered without ever rolling her eyes or exemplifying any impatience. She explained as much as she could in layman's terms to me, too. She also executed my surgery flawlessly. Before, "white clouds" in my eye would obstruct my few making it even difficult for me to read. I had trouble driving at night. I couldn't enjoy life at times, honestly. But after my surgery, life never looked so clear. Thank you so much, Dr. Thulasi. I appreciate your masterfulness implanting that multifocal lens into my right eye. My only feedback? The clinic that performed my operation could have done a better job communicating my appointment time... I received three calls from three different people, and a few opportunities to improve reside there. The pharmacy that also provided the pre and post-op drops gave me the wrong prescription (but that's on them, really). Aside from these minor things, though, I LOVED the sweet nurses who took care of me. (I found out I can't stand watching a needle being inserted into my hand.) If you need a cataract surgery, I highly recommend Dr. Thulasi. Not only one of the best opthamologists, but doctors ever, too.

They don't know who canceled the appointment but it was canceled without my knowledge. This trip cost me a day's pay, gas and a parking fee, all of which Emory will never give back. This is the second screw up. Two years ago, when I was at a family dinner, they kept texting me instructions of what to do after having eye surgery. WHAT??? Clearly wrong person. I guess they're getting me mixed up with someone else. I don't believe I'm going to give them a chance to get me mixed up with someone else. This office has a friendly and professional staff, thorough exams with providers that listen and answer all of your questions. I went to DHEC to purchase my first pair of progressive glasses. The staff that helped were…read morewonderful and helped me to pick out frames. However, the 7 day return policy is not flexible enough. When it comes to progressives, you need a few days to adjust to them. If there's a problem, one needs time to return to the store, find out that the prescription might be wrong, reschedule another ophthalmologist appt, and then return again with a new prescription. For people who work, it is not possible to miss so much work--or get another doctor's appointment so quickly--and return to fix the glasses. I spent a few hundred dollars for unwearable glasses because I work full-time and could not get back into the store with a new prescription within 7 days. I had to wait another year before I could address this due to insurance coverage. I recommend DHEC for standard glasses and the outstanding staff, but if you need progressives that might need some adjustments over time, you might want to consider a place with a more lenient policy.
