Dr. R is a nice guy, but the front office team couldn't be worse. They will bill incorrect amounts, you have to follow up several times to get your prescription, no one will notify you if your glasses are ready (or they'll just forget about them until you call a couple times). My husband went in with an emergency and was told to come back the following day. Dr. R resolved this, but in a nutshell, this place is just a time suck. read more

The prescription was not correct for my eyes, so had to be redone. The 2 pair of glasses (bifocals) I ordered (over $800) are way off. I spent some time with my cousins who just moved to the Atlanta area, as they just had a baby and I couldn't wait to spend some time with their little peanut! Unfortunately while I was visiting them, their dog got a hold of my glasses and destroyed them. I knew I was just about due for a new pair, so took this as the prime opportunity to pick up some glasses. My cousin recommended Costco as he frequents the store and has good luck with glasses there in the past. I took him up on his suggestion and was incredibly disappointed with the outcome. I picked up my glasses but couldn't even see out of them. The vision was blurry and when I expressed this to the optician, they didn't really seem to care. They tried to convince me that it was "good enough" and that I was being overly demanding with my complaints. I asked some friends of theirs in the area and decided to visit Mount Vernon Eye Care for a better result. Boy am I glad I did! I was warmly greeted by Traci who went out of her way to understand my concerns. She was friendly, and understanding. I decided to purchase a new pair here and they went above and beyond to make sure that all of my needs were met. I absolutely love my new glasses and would even consider making a trip back to Atlanta in the future (of course to visit the family), but also because I know I will get a great product. They are comfortable, trendy, and made with a really high quality product. The best part is, I told them I had preferred Costco because they were cheaper... and they agreed to match the price! I've come here for years with no issues until my last appointment. I'm usually in Dunwoody during my academic breaks, and the receptionist schedules me in last minute which is always so nice of her! I went back in hours after my appointment because something felt off with my trial contacts. Was treated like I was too stupid to question my prescription and my optometrist (Dr. Virani) acted as if I was wasting her time, talking down to me and barely letting me voice my concerns. I really like going to this office, but her attitude problem is seriously starting to become a downer to the whole experience. read more

Went in for a regular check, was having no problems, but was told I needed cataract surgery immediately. Had it done and have been suffering from dry eye syndrome ever since then - close to 6 years. Have spent thousands of dollars trying to get help. Was told by 3 ophthalmologists that they wouldn't have advised it because of a pre-existing condition I had which the Briggs person was also aware of. I recall the optometrist told me "Be sure to tell the surgeon I sent you." No doubt he would get a kickback. What a thief! read more

The service here is AMAZING. I contacted them in regards to my a leg that had broken off and they immediately helped me out. Once I arrived they greeted me very nicely and fixed my glasses in less than 15 minutes. I've been to other places where they would've refused or charged me for the service they did. My rx for my contact lense expired so I called this place up for an appt. I got one in 2 days which was great as I was leaving for a wedding and needed one box ASAP. Dr. Virani was great she listened well and helped me pick out the rx I was most comfortable with and actually explained to me that my glasses number are higher. No wonder I get headaches if I wear them for too long! Great experience and staff was pretty friendly. The only thing I would say is that they need to shorten their paperwork, many questions were just unnecessary. read more

I have been a patient here for a year now & I must say I am very disappointed with Dr Virani. Her attitude is horrible & today when I went for a follow up appt, she basically said I needed to see an eye therapist as she couldn't figure out what was wrong with my eyes & she basically gave me an attitude about getting headaches & not wearing my glasses. What kind of doctor does that? She then said that she didn't know what my issue is & when I told her I was not happy with the service she was giving me, she said I didn't have to be a patient here & that I could go elsewhere. She went & basically made copies of my records & handed it to me, basically telling me to leave which I was going to do anyway. Again, this is very unprofessional especially coming from a Dr. I will never come back here again. read more

Dr. Rondowsky is the best eye doctor I've ever been to. Answered all your questions, listens to your concerns. If he isn't satisfied with what he sees he doesn't hesitate to find the answer for all your eye problems. Full service with people that truly help you find the frames that look the best on you. Wouldn't go anywhere else in Atlanta cause I made that mistake once and it will never happen again. My adult children and grandchildren feel the same way. read more

We moved to Dunwoody about a year ago and I was in need of a new eye doctor. My glasses prescription was outdated so I went in specifically to get the prescription. I saw Dr. Eisenburg, who was wonderful. The front office staff were also wonderful! I felt safe and taken care of during these crazy COVID19 times. However, once my appointment was done, I got sorta dumped off to the front area with the glasses sales-woman. I felt SO uncomfortable and put on the spot. She did not have her mask on correctly and her nose was uncovered so I was also worried about COVID19 since she was sitting close to me. (I have an infant at home to think about.) She immediately asked what kind of glasses I wanted and I explained I wasn't sure and normally like to have my husband/mom/someone else with me to pick them out. She asked where my previous glasses were from. I told her Costco. Mind you, I LOVE these glasses and they have been awesome for me. She immediately got very judgemental and rude. I felt stuck and just absolutely uncomfortable to the point I'm debating if I would go back to this office for care, which sucks bc I liked everything else. I don't have $450 to spend on glasses. Needless to say, I finally found a way out of this terrible sales scheme to the check out desk. The check out staff member was great. I really wish the office or doctor would have asked if I wanted to look at glasses before dumping me off to the sales area, as I also needed to get home for work. read more

Have used Mount Vernon Eyecare before nothing special but was located nearby. This last go around was terrible. The prescription was done wrong. Went back to the doctor and it was not made up correctly by Mt. Vernon Eye Care. The optometrist at Mt. Vernon Eyecare convinced me to go from polycarbonate to a higher grade product called Trifex. He said it would only cost the difference in price for the upgrade. Instead they charged $120 and said that was the cost which wasn't the truth. Found out from another optometrist it was about $25 dollars. Horrible follow-up from Mt. Vernon. When I picked up my glasses one of the optometrists (not sure he was an optometrist) came out and handed me the glasses. The glasses were a problem and needed to be adjusted. I had the glasses adjusted some where else.. Sent a letter to the manager Yury K. and never heard back. Would not recommend anyone use that group. Just plain awful!! Would have given no stars but system would not allow it. read more

I recently visited Mount Vernon Eye Care for the first time for my annual examination. I only waited five minutes to be taken to the back for the initial tests. The staff were warm and engaging with smiles all around. Dr. Virani was prompt and was very friendly. She and I discussed all our options and suggested some ideas I was not aware of. I previously used Dr. Virani when she was at another practice and simply followed her to her new practice. I highly recommend Dr. Virani especially as she is accepting new patients. read more
