After months of waiting for follow-up regarding the specialist portion, I was ultimately referred out. When it was time to coordinate the crown placement, there did not appear to be communication between this office and my oral surgeon's office. I was already in the dental chair and numbed, and I then spent about an hour trying to reach the oral surgeon's office so the next steps could move forward. I also knew from the beginning that this office does not accept secondary insurance, but I disagree with that policy because my primary and secondary coverage together are designed to cover the full balance. I have strong dental insurance and have not had unexpected bills with prior providers. With this office, I received a call and was told I needed to pay $500+ and that I had a deductible related to a pre-authorization submitted for work this year. That was unexpected, and I did not receive a clear explanation that resolved my concerns. There are CareCredit advertisements in the office, and while financing may help some patients, it was frustrating to see financing promoted while secondary insurance is not accepted, especially when secondary coverage is a standard way many patients pay for care without taking on debt. When I said I would be seeking another dentist, the response I received was "I don't blame you," which did not feel professional or helpful. Lastly, I had a filling done about a month ago and I've had pain since then. I'll be having it evaluated by another provider. I hope the practice improves communication, coordination with specialists, and clarity around costs and insurance.

I have horrible tolerance for making mold because the putty makes me gag and their staff was so sweet and patient with me. For the actual procedure, they made sure I was comfortable and all my questions answered. I've had a complicated set of inherited problems and she has treated them. My sister (who lives across the country) also has similar issues and has struggled to find regular, specialized care. With Dr. Lacey we have done the same palette expansion. I've had regular visits, top of the line imaging, and gained 7mm of space. When I didn't need the follow up Invisiline (like my sister did have to have), she was honest with me, and that saved me thousands of dollars and years of treatment! Very grateful to have found her.
