I worked with Paul Davis Restoration on restoration after water damage, involving vinyl flooring and a few items in a bathroom. They did an excellent job doing an exact match on the floor and leaving the place as though no water damage had been done to begin with. Their prices are higher than average in my opinion but they do the job right and very quickly (once the material was ready, they were in and out in less than a week; they also pointed out to many things from the original flooring that hadn't been done right). I was also very happy that there were no surprise costs along the way and the final cost was exactly as estimated. The project manager, Korey, was specifically great to work with and was the key factor in me making my decision to choose Paul Davis over other contractors. He was available via phone, text, email and very responsive and pretty clear in communication. This was specifically useful to me since I was doing the restoration on a rental unit while I was out of town; Korey shared photos and kept me updated along the way. Had water damage underneath my kitchen sink that needed to be addressed ASAP. Darwin and his team of David and Jose were out promptly the next morning after my call. They were very professional, friendly, knowledgeable, and understood the stress of not having access to the kitchen. Considering they had to remove all of the bottom cabinets, the length of my kitchen, they were extremely neat and clean about the process. Darwin always responded quickly to any questions or concerns I had. He also spotted that there was a layer of vinyl peeking out from underneath my flooring. These guys were recommended to me by my insurer, so I gave them a call. They were prompt to come out, and Darwin was very polite. During our initial estimate/meeting on a Tuesday, I verified that they did mitigation and restoration, as I wanted the same company to do both parts of my repair so that it's a seamless job. Darwin confirmed that they could do everything. The following Monday, I had to call and ask where the estimate is (why does it take six days?!?). I finally received the estimate, but it included the mitigation portion only, and not the restoration costs. Fast forward a few more days and they still hadn't provided me with an estimate for the restoration. Mind you, this isn't a huge project at all - just a little water damage by a toilet that came in at under $5,000. So, if they can't even figure out an estimate, then I'm not going to use this company. To his credit, Darwin did call and apologize to me, and I was appreciative of that. read more

Paul Davis was hired by Wawanesa to perform restoration on my 90-year old mother's home in Escondido after shehad a water problem/flood. They came, did their estimates, talked to us, everything was fine. We agreed to let them perform the work and they put us on the schedule. Then they didn't show up. TWO MONTHS LATER I contacted Wawanesa, fired Paul Davis, and had someone else do the work. Apparently they got a big commercial job and simply decided not to show up at my mother's house. HIGHLY UNPROFESSIONAL. I'll never let Paul Davis Restoration set foot on any of my properties again. A complicated insurance claim (at least for me ) was made so much easier by Korey at Paul Davis . I've never had a water problem at my rental that resulted in an insurance claim. Korey (project manager) helped to navigate the what , where , when questions . Air Check Solutions was called to dry out the walls and then test for mold , asbestos etc . They earn trust, that's for sure, but smiles and sweet talking does not overpower their intent to do a cash grab on the unsuspecting and uneducated when it comes to the ins and outs of construction/restoration. Key words: "Great, affordable, professional service and a friendly attitude" - I got nothing but a bad attitude from our project manager when I was getting to the bottom of the restoration project that my mother "agreed" to. Was your intent to slap some lipstick on a pig and get a sizable payday for it? I think so. They wanted to do a quick, half-assed job and they were about to take every last bit of that insurance check given the opportunity. We had a slow leak in the house which finally showed up when mold pushed through the ceiling. We hired PaulDavis to do the remediation and rebuild (walls, ceiling, bathtub, toilet, wall tiles, floor tiles). They did an outstanding job! There were two separate teams, one for the remediation, the other for the rebuild. Both teams were really good and easy to work with, they were friendly, on time, did what they said they would do, clean (they did a great job keeping things fairly clean and cleaning up after themselves), and they provided solid quality at the price they had quoted beforehand. After finding moisture in my floor my insurance directed me to Paul Davis. My first contact was with Anthony. He arrived promptly with notice when he was on his way.
