It was very obvious he had a serious dental issue, likely an infection. Instead, we were seen by someone named Soha Hemmat, who introduced herself as a doctor, but based on this experience, I seriously question her competence. She spent less than two minutes examining my son. No thorough check, no concern, no effort. She dismissed everything as "just a virus," told us to brush his teeth and give him Tylenol, and walked out like the situation didn't matter. That was completely wrong -- and dangerously negligent. My son's fever continued, and his condition did not improve. We had to contact his actual doctor and take him back to be seen again just six hours later. He was properly examined and diagnosed with a clear infection, and immediately given antibiotics. This could have gotten much worse because of her careless and dismissive attitude. I have been coming to this office for four years and have always had professional experiences, which makes this even more disappointing. But this encounter was unacceptable. No parent -- especially one with a child who has special needs -- should be brushed off like this. This office seriously needs to address this situation. Either provide proper training or reevaluate who they allow to treat patients, because this level of incompetence and lack of care is not just unprofessional -- it's dangerous. The…read morefront office staff that replaced Dr. Jaksha's employees have made countless errors on my billing. As a billing consultant, I have had to explain to them what the errors have been. I warn patients to call their insurance company and do not take the word of the front office. I am still waiting for a return phone call (two weeks out) from Sonia regarding a billing error. I was told I had to pay my deductible for my cleaning which I questioned at the time of service since I never had to pay before. When I received my EOB, it reflected there wasn't any patient responsibility, Sonia told me it was for a balance due months prior. I told her I never received a statement, and she said they were waiting for the insurance to process the claim. The claim was adjudicated May 2025. I then explained to her I had previously contacted the insurance company regarding that date of service and let her know what needed to be done to have the claim paid. The staff is supposed to exhaust all option to get the claim paid as an in-network provider and not just accept the denial on an EOB. It's important as a patient to know your benefits and to advocate for yourself. Do not take the word of the front office without contacting your insurance company. The rating would be a 0 if I had that option. Unfortunately, it's time I move on to another dentist that has a staff that I trust.

Dr. Mirkhan takes time to explain things and make sure that all of your questions are answered, never making you feel rushed. I have a complicated medical history and Dr. Mirkhan and her staff (Diane and Emi) took extra care to make sure I was safe, that procedure was safe for me and that I was not going to be allergic to anything they were using or going to give to me. Because of my complicated medical history, I did a lot of research to find a new dental surgeon after recently moving back from Chicago. As stated by other reviewers, Dr. Mirkhan has many awards for her outstanding work and has been recognized by her peers and the community for the same. I was charged for maintenance and a comprehensive evaluation on every visit, which is excessive and not in any way standard. I was charged for a deep cleaning without any local anesthetic, which amounts to a regular cleaning. And I was recommended to have an invasive surgery, and when I got second opinions by two other dentists and a periodontist, they all very confidently recommended against said procedure based on my XRs, probings and clinical picture and all three felt I was being recommended an unnecessary service.
