Merrill & Sons gave us the perfect fix for our 1966 septic tank. The redwood plank lid had rotted…read morethrough and needed replacing. Our septic company wanted over $1,000 to replace it, so we figured if it was going to cost that much, we might as well choose a longer-lasting option--concrete lids. Because our tank is poured-in-place concrete (not a precast tank), the lids had to be made in a custom shape using the measurements and drawing we provided. Merrill & Sons charged only a couple hundred dollars more than the original quote to make the lids from scratch and deliver them once they had cured, which took a few weeks. The new lids fit perfectly and have standard access holes, so we won't have to dig and scrape every five years to get the tank pumped. From start to finish, Merrill & Sons were great to work with.
