Standard home style Mexican breakfast. I think she makes it a little on the bland side for the local gringos but there's home made hot sauce available to add a little zip.
Hole in the wall atmosphere with seating for about 10 inside and right 20 seats outside facing the road. Plastic patio furniture with hand built picnic tables. Plastic utensils and melmac style plates.
Friendly staff at the counter take your order from the decent but standard Mexican menu. Apparently hamburgers are available also? Mainly attracts the locals for a simple breakfast and pretty good coffee. You'll find those locals right outside the front door discussing the day's worries ... Which are pretty much: What time is siesta? or Should I have another cup of coffee?
Very laid back place with no frills. Our meal consisted of general Mexican breakfast items but I saw some other things like pescado something or other... Which, to me, suggests more of a lunch. My chiliquilas was okay but I'd try something different next time.
The food a 6, the coffee a 7.5, the super laid back, hole in the wall, homey atmosphere and locals an 8. The price? My breakfast with coffee was six bucks! So I'd give that a 9. Welcome to Punta Bonda. read more
