A friend took me here and the experience was great! The power was out but that didn't stop them at all, our table was candle lit which made for such a wonderful time. The margaritas here are delicious and very strong which I like. The pizza was really good with a good blend of flavors, we split it with half of "The Exotica" and half of "The Marina" seafood one, both were delicious! The outside is beautiful as this place is right on the marina.

What I love most about this place is that the ingredients used for cocktails are fresh! Never a disappointment here! Food, prices and drinks are all awesome!

La Marina is my favorite neighborhood bar and restaurant. It is open every day for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. The menu includes both American and Mexican dishes and the food is always excellent. I love the soups: they are delicious and served nice and hot. La Marina is also the community cultural center. They frequently present live music, karaoke, open microphone nights, etc. You can also relax on the patio and play horseshoes on their beach. Follow the YELP directions and you will have no problem locating La Marina. It is situated on the lagoon and it is a good place for renting kayaks, paddle boards, and Jet-Skis. I'm sure you will find La Marina very friendly, scenic, and relaxing.

If you happen to…read morebe in Ensenada and taking a trip to the south end of the Bahia to visit La Bufadora, the world's second largest blowhole, don't miss the opportunity to visit El Faro Restaurant in the small Poblado of Esteban Cantu located a few miles before you reach Punta Banda. This small and unassuming family-owned eatery has become renowned for its delightfully authentic Mexican cuisine and local seafood dishes. Located next door to Sharkey's Bar & Grill, they are situated facing the Estero on the left side of the road. One of their signature dishes is their fried calamari, which consists of a generous, crispy and tender breaded fillet done 'abalone style' in garlic butter. It is served with fresh veggies from the local farms, rice, baked potato and sour cream, and toasty garlic bread. The price for this sumptuous feast is 150 pesos, which is only about $8.00 U.S. at the current exchange rate of 19 pesos to the dollar. The most amazing feature is that El Faro offers a different 2 for 1 menu item each weekday; and on Fridays, calamari is the designated special. That's right, 2 calamari dinners for only 150 pesos! On one occasion, a buddy of mine and I showed up there with a couple pints of Heineken (no corkage fees at El Faro) and took advantage of this mind-numbing value. It was ABSOLUTELY delicious, and we waddled out the door after paying the 150-peso check and leaving a 25% gratuity. Yep, a total of 200 pesos ...about 12 bucks tip included for a couple of the best calamari I've had in years. If you're in the neighborhood, give 'em a try!

Right now the jury is out. This place has been renamed as the Serengeti…read more It needs to be updated on Yelp. It has been remodeled and it's beautiful and they are accommodating here but the timing of the food and a few more things need some work. The prices have gone up quite a bit but I got a steak it was their ribeye about 15 oz with please french fries mixed with vegetables and extra vegetables on the side. When I got the plate I took a taste at the steak and the seasoning was delicious but it was very lukewarm and I like my food hot. I sent it back just the steak for her to put it on the grill for a little longer and when it got back it was not as tender and it didn't have that same delicious taste and it was only grilled for a minute more which makes me think they probably put it under a broiler because the grilling didn't do anything for it it was slightly warmer but now I'm eating a so-so steak at quite a price. The servers are very nice. There's only me and one other table in here so I don't know why it took so long to get my food they might still be training or something I don't know. The coffee is they're organic Mexican coffee but it seems like it's different from what I remember it used to be darker roast and a little stronger this one seems kind of weak and you can get plain milk or powdered stuff for it and I prefer half and half or heavy cream. I had sparkling water which here is called minerale. Is decorated for Christmas right now so it's very pretty the updated look is nice. The televisions in here reflect the things going on at the restaurant and at the whole park they show the features of the park and the different drinks they make here and such. One Saving Grace is that they let my little service dog come in he helps me with detecting a possible PTSD episode and they didn't give me too much problem even though dogs are not really allowed. Some places in Mexico just welcomed dogs in others don't want them and some restaurants down here don't know about dogs that are therapy or service dogs. So I appreciated that. Though this is not a high rating I still think it's worth checking out because this could be one of those one-time things it is a lovely atmosphere. The kitchen might need a little work the server was accommodating and I appreciate that my family has come here before me and enjoyed it so what I experienced with the kitchen might be an anomaly. I recommend that you at least try it out and maybe if you have particular things you want say it ahead of time like you want to make sure that the meat is warm or hot not served lukewarm that kind of thing. If they have Specific Instructions beforehand they will probably be good if there is any doubt about how things will come out I'm sure people who come here really enjoy it. Again the new name is Serengeti and it is located at the entertainment and animal park called Pai Pai.

Gordos has truly become one of those places that defines the community here at La Bufadora. If…read moreyou've spent any time up this way, you already know its reputation runs deep--this isn't just another restaurant and bar, it's a landmark, a meeting point, and for many of us, a second home. Over the years, Gordos has reinvented itself more times than I can count, each era adding another layer to its identity. And now, under its current ownership, it's clearer than ever that this iteration might just be the best one yet. The owner brings a level of passion and intention that you can feel the moment you walk in. She genuinely invests her time, heart, and relentless hustle into making this a polished, welcoming space where everyone--locals and travelers alike--feel like part of the crew. It's not just professionally run, it's thoughtfully run. The service is warm, the staff is sharp, and the atmosphere strikes that perfect balance between laid-back coastal hangout and well-oiled hospitality. One of the coolest parts? Gordos celebrates the community by employing local talent and giving them a stage to shine. You'll catch familiar faces behind the bar, in the kitchen, or cruising the floor making sure glasses are full and plates are clean. It's amazing to see a business here that doesn't just exist in the community, but actively supports it. And the food--man, you can always count on it. Every dish comes out with that signature freshness that makes you grateful you skipped breakfast. You can tell the ingredients aren't sitting around waiting for their moment... they're used at their peak. And the drinks? Let's just say Gordos doesn't play around. They pour with confidence. If you like your cocktails stiff enough to put hair on your chest, you're in the right place. Between the daily happy hour, the weekly food specials, the good music, the salty-air breeze rolling in, and the nonstop good vibes, it's hard not to have a great time here. Whether you're grabbing a cold cerveza after exploring the coast, fueling up before heading to the lookout points, or settling in for a long night of laughs with friends, Gordos delivers--every single time. Do yourself a favor and stop by. It's the kind of place that fills your belly, lifts your spirit, and leaves you already planning your next visit. Highly recommend--10/10 for the food, the pours, and the people that make it all come together.
