It seems that they are still touting this falsity. This was not accurate, as my insurance PA was approved and insurance paid their share with a different surgeon despite not having 12 months of continuous therapy. No where in my policy did it state this was necessary, and this was confirmed by the insurance company. Not only was this an inaccurate statement, but it was insisted upon in an extremely rude manner, as if I or my insurance company did not know what we were talking about. I'm not sure why they insisted and continue to insist that this was/is true when it factually was/is false. It's one thing to have an office policy that patients must undergo 12 months of therapy to schedule surgery, but do not lie and say that this is a requirement when it's not. Alan Dulin or the AIfPS also doesn't appear in the bcbs blue card PPO provider directory, which might indicate that he/the practice is not actually in network with bcbs PPO plans. Lastly, pictures were taken during my consult, which did not happen with my actual surgeon. When I asked him why he didn't take pictures, he said that wasn't a standard experience during a consultation. In retrospect and after the negative experience with their insurance coordinator, that made me uncomfortable. Would have made more sense to do this before surgery when I was a confirmed patient.

My very honest review of my experience. I believe dr. Friedman is a master of his craft but…read moreultimately I was disappointed with how he handled me. I came in about a month ago wanting lipo on my belly and sides. I told Dr. Friedman my story up until then, that over the last year and a half I had dropped from close to 40% body fat to 28, but I just wanted a more targeted fat reduction on my belly. The doctor told me that, while he was willing to do the procedure, he advised against it as it wouldn't get me to my ultimate goal, immediately instead he started to pitch me GLP-1s. I know many people have seen success with GLP-1s, including family, but I tried to explain to the doctor that I didn't think GLP-1s were the miracle I needed. GLP-1s work by mimicking the body's hormones that signal satiation. They are very strong appetite suppressants and I referred to them as such. GLP-1s also take a year to be effective, cost upwards of $130 a month, and research shows that the body doesn't just loose fat, but lean a lot of mass is also lost in the process and as a man, this was something I wanted to avoid. After people stop talking the peptide, 2/3rds of people regain the weight because they have not learned to control themselves without it. I also didn't feel like I needed it because I had been slowly loosing my body fat over the previous year anyway. The doctor tried to convince me that GLP-1s don't just hold off cravings, that they help boost metabolism too, when I asked him to explain how he just fumbled his words around. I came in knowing the doctor couldn't remove all the fat from me, but I did just want a targeted fat lost on my belly. I don't think the doctor was incompetent in anyway or directly benefits from people getting Ozempic. I think he's just very selective for who he chooses to preform procedures on, taking in clients he's 100% sure he can do top results with, and pitches Ozempic to people he can't work with as a means of compensating for their time.

A complete rip-off and not worth it. The doctor wasn't even that friendly or welcoming and she presented uncomfortable vibes. So no I wouldn't dare get surgery done here and would rather go elsewhere. Other than the lying about the consult fee my biggest issue is below. On March 15 and again on March 21, I made requests for my medical records. My interaction with Jennifer Castro regarding this matter was unsatisfactory. Transcarent, a company utilized by my employer, sought access to my medical records, prompting Jennifer to inquire whether I had granted permission for them to receive the records. Despite confirming my consent, Jennifer expressed her belief that it was unethical for Transcarent to make such requests, citing negative reviews of the company. Despite my insistence, Jennifer refused to release the records to Transcarent, insisting that they could only be sent to me. She requested a signed letter matching the signature on file before releasing them. After waiting for days without receiving the records, I followed up with Jennifer, only to discover that she had sent them to the wrong email address, displaying incompetence on her part. Additionally, her unprofessionalism, including criticism of my choice of surgeon and the quality of her company's services, was unwarranted. Despite her tenure, Jennifer's rude behavior warrants attention and resolution.

I came in because I had an important interview and wanted help with the "11" lines between my brows. During the consultation, Dr. Lam told me that much of the wrinkling in my forehead was caused by ptosis, a condition I did not know I had. He showed me with Upneeq drops. The before and after was taken from the same angle, about 10 or 15 minutes apart. He was right. My forehead had been working to lift my upper eyelids, and it explained the lines, the tension, and the tired look around my eyes. He offered surgery as one option and Upneeq as another. Because my interview was that week, the drops made sense. The office knew about the interview. We talked about it. We even joked about using the drops for it. I ordered the Upneeq. I thought it would go to my pharmacy because the intake form asked for my pharmacy information. After I paid, I learned it was being shipped to my home from New Jersey. I live in Texas. My interview was in 5 days. I called and asked if anything could be done. I was told no. I called again and asked whether I could buy one or two vials for my interviews while I waited for the shipment. I was still told no. I was not asking for anything free. I was asking for help with the same issue I had just been diagnosed with, for the same interview everyone knew I was preparing for. That is what disappointed me. The visit felt caring. The follow through did not. After seeing the difference the drops made, I felt more self-conscious than when I walked in. I left knowing there was something that could help me look more awake and less strained for my interview, but I could not get even a small bridge supply in time. I will be going into that interview tomorrow feeling like I am at a disadvantage without the eyedrops for the ptosis I had just been diagnosed with. Dr. Lam may be right about the diagnosis. The staff may be kind in the room. But when I needed help after the appointment, I felt alone and unsupported when I really, really needed the help.

Dr. Lam is SO incredibly knowledgeable and trustworthy. I cannot recommend him enough to everyone…read more He is an AMAZING surgeon!!! I had two moles on my face surgically removed by Dr. Lam, one on my left cheek and on the middle of my nose. I felt very insecure and was bullied for it when I was growing up. I came into his office really nervous and honestly fearful of what he might say, and I left feeling confident and knew I had made the right choice picking him for my procedure. He uses Botox on your scar post-surgery (as it is healing) to minimize scar visibility afterwards. This does hurt because obviously poking scar tissue is going to be painful, but it was SO WORTH IT. When I say you can BARELY TELL that I had surgery on my face, it is INCREDIBLE. I used to always feel like I had to wear tons and tons of makeup to try and cover them up all of the time since I was bullied for it, and now I don't even wear makeup anymore half of the time. He has given me confidence again, self-worth, and he truly takes the time to make sure you look your absolute best post-surgery. I used the silicone cream and the patches on my face while it was healing. Definitely important to follow his post-surgery guidelines. I stayed out of the sun to make sure that my scars did not sun burn and made sure to wear a hat when I was outside. I wore the cream at night, and the silicone patches during the day on my face. I literally wore them to work and all around, because I knew that they helped in the end. I have to say that this man TRULY changed my happiness, and I will forever be in awe of not only the incredible surgeon that he is, but how he truly cares about his patients, he's honest, and he really knows what he is talking about. He is not going to lie to you, and he will tell you exactly how it is. If you are thinking about who would be the best fit for your surgical needs but you aren't sure who to choose, you should definitely pick Dr. Lam, as you will be in great hands.
