Dr. Lam is SO incredibly knowledgeable and trustworthy. I cannot recommend him enough to everyone. He is an AMAZING surgeon!!! I had two moles on my face surgically removed by Dr. Lam, one on my left cheek and on the middle of my nose. I felt very insecure and was bullied for it when I was growing up. I came into his office really nervous and honestly fearful of what he might say, and I left feeling confident and knew I had made the right choice picking him for my procedure. He uses Botox on your scar post-surgery (as it is healing) to minimize scar visibility afterwards. This does hurt because obviously poking scar tissue is going to be painful, but it was SO WORTH IT. When I say you can BARELY TELL that I had surgery on my face, it is INCREDIBLE. I used to always feel like I had to wear tons and tons of makeup to try and cover them up all of the time since I was bullied for it, and now I don't even wear makeup anymore half of the time. He has given me confidence again, self-worth, and he truly takes the time to make sure you look your absolute best post-surgery. I used the silicone cream and the patches on my face while it was healing. Definitely important to follow his post-surgery guidelines. I stayed out of the sun to make sure that my scars did not sun burn and made sure to wear a hat when I was outside. I wore the cream at night, and the silicone patches during the day on my face. I literally wore them to work and all around, because I knew that they helped in the end. I have to say that this man TRULY changed my happiness, and I will forever be in awe of not only the incredible surgeon that he is, but how he truly cares about his patients, he's honest, and he really knows what he is talking about. He is not going to lie to you, and he will tell you exactly how it is. If you are thinking about who would be the best fit for your surgical needs but you aren't sure who to choose, you should definitely pick Dr. Lam, as you will be in great hands. read more

This practice makes you sign an agreement not to leave negative reviews. I hope they come after me for this one. I'll not be trodden on. So think carefully about the reviews here. People with bad experiences may be too scared to post an honest review. This practice also had me sign a waiver to use images of the post procedure results, whilst having a follow visit and clearly still on my pain meds! How can I make good judgement when you gave me pills that cloud my judgement. Very poor graft results. Extremely poor aftercare. I had a great interaction with Dr. Lam and I wanted to share this experience. I had made a comment on one of his videos recently about the Deep Plane procedure, because I've been researching information and exploring the process for myself. He personally responded to my question within 1 hour which I highly doubt that most doctors would do. My question had to do with the differences between the Deep Plane procedure and the High SMAS procedure. After researching this topic for months I couldn't find a clear description pertaining to the differences between the two. This Doctor went out of his way and produced a detailed video that clearly explains the difference. He did not need to do this for me. While waiting for my wife to be seen by Dr. Lam, I hopped on Yelp to check out some of his reviews! I must say, everything I read was spot on and then some. First of all, when we checked in, we had a warm greeting by the reception who made us feel at home. She especially made sure my wife, the patient, felt at ease and free of nerves. Next, it was time for our 2:30 appointment time. If there's every a way to get brownie points with me, it's to be prompt and on time with the appointment set. Our nurse took a before pic of my wife and was kind enough to let me sit in for the procedure. She was not only kind, she was funny. She made sure my wife was in good spirits and knew what to expect during and after the procedure. Once the prep was done, it was time to see Dr. Lam. Our nurse advised my wife and I that Dr. Lam was quick and efficient. She was so on point! Dr. Lam made sure that not only my wife's nerves were at ease, but that I wouldn't faint for what I was about to witness. Dr. Lam was hilarious, but at the same time very professional and do I say a perfectionist at his job! He made sure we both knew what to expect during and after the procedure. I recently had a consultation with Dr Sam Lam regarding my eyelid concerns, and I must say that the experience was quite disappointing. Initially, I came in with a minor concern about my left eyelid appearing slightly larger than my right eyelid. He promptly dismissed this concern, explaining that it was merely a 1-millimeter difference and couldn't be rectified. I understood and appreciated his honesty in this regard. I just wanted reassurance so that part was fine. However, what followed left much to be desired, he seemed more interested in upselling various cosmetic procedures than addressing my initial concern. He suggested meso Botox as a solution to achieve a specific skin glow, which came with a hefty price tag of around $1200. I wasn't well-informed about this procedure, so I chose not to proceed. I just needed to do more research. After the appointment I texted my injector in Houston and she said she doesn't do it because there isn't enough data on it. So I knew something was off about it. He was showing me before and after pics and they were all with people who had severe cystic acne. I asked if he had any before/after pics for people with clear skin (lol) and he seemed kind of annoyed. I don't have severe acne...I actually have crystal clear skin lol but I had 1 tiny tiny blemish and I think cuz of that, he decided to suggest meso Botox to help with my "acne," that's minimal to non existent. When I asked about other treatments like trap tox, his response was okay- he said my neck is too long. I asked about my back neck and when I mentioned my efforts in yoga and Pilates to improve my condition, he laughed...so that was awkward. The part that was annoying was when the Dr was claiming to cure a wide range of unrelated ailments, from cramps to colds, in a way that other doctors supposedly do not. While I appreciated the information, it came across as insincere and made me question the authenticity of the practice. Overall, the consultation felt like a sales pitch rather than a sincere effort to address my concerns. I was eager to leave, despite the $250 cost of the consult. I would advise others to consider alternative plastic surgeons who prioritize patient concerns over selling additional services. Save your money and seek a plastic surgeon who values your well-being more than their own sales pitch. read more

I'm not at all pleased with my experience at this office. I scheduled a consultation for the Gemini Laser to treat a several angiomas on my face. My consultation was scheduled for 12:30 on 2/7. I received a call at 12:20 to notify me that the appointment would be pushed back to 1pm. Not a big deal at the time. After my consultation, I scheduled an appointment for the treatment on Friday, 2/10, at 12:30. Once I arrived that Friday, I was told the nurse had gone home and would need to reschedule. I was incredibly disappointed that I was not notified of the cancellation beforehand, as I took time out of my work schedule and travelled from Aubrey. I was rescheduled for the following Tuesday, 2/14. Before checking out on 2/14, I requested a credit for the office's mistake that ultimately cost me time and money. Bear in mind this office charges patients a $100 fee for missed appointments. I was told the office manager was not in, but someone would call me back. I never received a call back. Instead, I had to call and leave a voicemail to remind the staff of the issue. Once I received a call back, the receptionist notified me the office manager declined my request. I expressed I took time and spent money traveling to that appointment and reminded her of their office policy on missed appointments. She declined again, and I asked that the office manager call me back directly. I have yet to receive a response. As far as the treatment goes, I am wholly unimpressed. The angiomas have yet to fade, which would normally start to occur in this stage of the healing process. Additionally, though I paid to have my entire face treated, there were many spots, such as my chin, that the nurse did not go over with the laser. If you are looking for a laser procedure to treat angiomas, I recommend going to a dermatologist to have the VBeam treatment. I had high hopes for this office based on the before/after images on the LFP website. Sadly, I will not be back for additional treatments and will not be recommending LFP to anyone in the future. read more

U don't want to go back to anyone else. My Botox from others would wear off b4 3 months! Lams Botox lasts almost 6 months for me! I never realized the difference in Botox until Lam. Some people will dilute their Botox & that's what I believe happened to me b4 Lam. Botox is $$$ for the providers. Many will dilute it and give u discounts. Lam gives u the full dose! Dr Lam has been my first and only cosmetic medical experience. He came highly recommended by several people and I have not been at all disappointed. He is fully engaged in educating you, the patient, about your face and the procedures available to you and he is very considerate of your budget (but he is not cheap! But he is worth the money of course.). He makes you look better without looking different/ odd / plastic. He is a perfectionist and has a trained eye for what the ideal face is and how to move you in that direction. His staff is very friendly and kind and are very helpful in informing you of the rewards programs for Botox, fillers, etc so you can get lots of discounts. His Botox/fillet treatments are near painless (and I have a low pain tolerance). I have heard "no pain" is not generally the case for similar injections but I've not tried other providers so can't speak to how other doctors do it. Highly recommend Dr Lam for any cosmetic procedures. At a minimum at least schedule and office visit so you can meet him and head about his methods. I went to Dr Lam for a torn earlobe. First off, his staff could not of been more friendly and welcoming. They made me feel right at home. When Dr. Lam repaired my earlobe, he truly took his time. He made me feel comfortable and there was no pain what so ever. After I went to get my stitches out, I couldn't believe how good my ear looked! Mr. Lam said he just wanted to make my face "Look Beautiful" with fat grafting but he made me look like I have Cushings and one eye looks more lopsided than the other. He injected fat into my brows and now I permanently like an angry man. He tells people what they want to hear and told me it would get better, it didn't it got worse and more lopsided over the years. I'm an adult, least he could have done was be honest instead of telling me nonsense to make himself sound knowledgeable. He is bloody eloquent and so confident you can't help but believe him and not realize he has atrocious technical ability. He charged just under $9000 which is the biggest ripoff in the history of mankind. What enfuriates me is that he's had failed surgeries before and he violated their civil rights by having those ratings removed by his lawyers and cronies at Medical Justice. Those POSTINGS COULD HAVE SAVED MY LIFE from this person and I wish more than anything that I need not be writing this right now. read more

I came to Dr. Lam to have him repair a rhinoplasty done by another doctor that resulted in nostrils that no longer matched in size/shape. My previous doctor said he could fix it, no problem, under local anesthetic by CUTTING and repositioning one side of my nose, promising a minimal scar. There was no way I was going to let him do this. Dr. Lam fixed the problem with a simple injection of a few drops of strategically placed filler. My nostrils match and I'm very happy.
