Extremely disappointed with ATI Physical Therapy and their billing practices…read more Before I even scheduled my first appointment, I specifically asked them to verify my insurance and tell me exactly what my cost would be per visit. I was told it would be approximately $60. I intentionally waited several days for them to verify my insurance information before moving forward because I wanted to know the cost upfront. At my first visit, I was charged $65. It was $5 more than quoted, but I didn't make an issue of it. Now, approximately 25 days later, ATI is trying to charge me an ADDITIONAL $95 for that same visit. That brings the total cost of ONE physical therapy visit to $160. When I called customer service, I was told the original $65 was supposedly only a "deposit." That was NEVER explained to me. Had I been told that $65 was simply a deposit and that I could later be billed another $95, I would have never agreed to the appointment. What makes this especially frustrating is that I specifically asked for the cost BEFORE scheduling and gave them time to verify everything with my insurance. Their customer service experience only made the situation worse. Patients deserve transparency about what they are agreeing to pay. Quoting someone around $60, collecting $65 at the appointment, and then nearly a month later billing another $95 is completely unacceptable to me. I would absolutely NOT recommend ATI Physical Therapy based on my experience. If you decide to use them, I strongly recommend getting your expected TOTAL cost in writing before receiving any services.

I like the friendly people and how they're good at showing you how to do all the stretches and they also give you good handouts so that you can continue your physical therapy at home. What sucks is how they handle insurance. It really shouldn't have costed me more but I somehow had to pay an extra $179 for three sessions despite my insurance being able to cover this. Thus, you should double check with them to make sure they would process your insurance correctly.

This is the way physical therapy should be done I am a corrective exercise specialist and a…read moreclinical massage therapist who works with an entire family that truly believes in Impact and their process. Eric and his team have been working with my client and her family for years, and when I came into the picture, I tagged along to shadow Eric's work. I was fascinated by the care, skill, and professionalism that was taking place. Immediately I knew my client, after her broken tib/fib (10mos) treatment, had been in great hands, and it really had shown through her results. She and I have been able to progress her recovery at lightning speed, which made both her and myself very happy! Eric and Sarah and the crew have done an amazing job, and it's very easy to see the reason for their success. They care about the patient, the community, and the process, and their access to a gym facility makes them second to none. Thank you IPT for all the work you've done in having such a great Impact on my client's lives!!!

Impact Physical Therapy has been amazing so far. I was in an accident that left me with several…read moreinjuries, and being in my third trimester of pregnancy has made getting treatment extra tricky. A lot of places either don't have experience treating pregnant women or are super limited in what they'll actually do, which can be really frustrating, even with my OB's approval. I was going to another PT place before this and honestly felt kind of hopeless. They weren't very personable or confident, and I felt like they were too scared to touch me, like I just had to wait until after I gave birth to get real help. I knew I was capable of doing more and wasn't improving at all, it was starting to take a toll on my mental health. Deciding to switch to Impact was the best move I could've made. The care here is night and day. You actually work with physical therapists one-on-one, not just techs, and everyone is super friendly, professional, and knows what they're doing. They offer a bunch of holistic treatment options like cupping, massage, dry needling, stretching, and strength work. I've only been going a little over a week, and already I feel so much more hopeful. I'm willing to do the work, I just needed the right guidance, and they've absolutely given me that. They don't treat me like I'm fragile or extremely limited just because I'm pregnant, and that means so much. I'm excited to keep going and finally feel like I'm on the right path to recovery.

I am 98 years old; I broke my hip and had a partial hip replacement in May 2026. Once I was ready…read moreto start outpatient PT in July, I chose this Foothills PT location because I used them before, about 15 years ago after knee replacement surgery. They were good back then, and they're even better now. I highly recommend them - they go above and beyond. My therapist this time is Auggie, and he is fantastic. He, and all the staff, are very kind and patient, as well as knowledgeable and professional. They are gentle and caring with me and are always looking out for my safety, but they do not treat me like I'm a lost cause because I'm old. They've always been very encouraging, and put as much effort into helping me as they do with any other client. They're respectful of all their clients, from what I've seen. There are clients of all ages and abilities here, and they personalize their therapy to fit the client's condition and needs. I feel that they do care about their patients and want us to get better and feel that we matter. Auggie did my initial assessment and did a great job of pinpointing my needs and prescribing a course of therapy to help me improve my strength and balance. At some PT places, you only see an actual physical therapist the first time and then the rest of the time the PT assistants and aides work with you, sometimes starting you on an exercise and then disappearing for a long time. It's not like that at all here. Auggie spends quite a bit of time with me each visit, assessing my progress, instructing me in the exercises, showing me how to use the gym equipment, and adjusting the work for the day depending on how able I am feeling that day. If he does hand me over to a staffer to monitor my exercises a while so he can do other work, the staff desk has a view of the gym and he's always watching over the whole gym to see if anyone needs help. The PT assistants are vigilant too, so I don't feel ignored. They have quite a few staffers and they don't short me on my time. This location is nice because it's on a peninsula in a little lake, with a pleasant view of the lake's landscaping and waterfowl to look at while you work out, if you don't want to watch TV. There is also some tree-shaded parking, depending on the time of day, which helps in the summer. I'm here to get stronger, and I can tell I've made progress. I can't believe the exercises I'm able to do now. If I ever need therapy again, I wouldn't want to go anywhere else. These people are the best, and I'm so grateful for them and all their help.

I can't say enough good things about Physiotherapy Associates and everyone there, especially my…read moretherapist, Koreen. Koreen started there within the last couple months. She is a gifted therapist who has an intuitive understanding of the body. I started PT after a major wreck left me carless and in a lot of pain. I've never done PT before and didnt know what to expect. I haven't been the kind of person who looks forward to working out, but found myself eagerly attending PT a few times a week. You just have to break through that post-workout fatigue of the first 6 weeks. Exercising with pain can be discouraging, but stick with it. After getting past that, I found myself with a higher level of energy that I still have all the time. If something hurts, they don't force you to do it, and they customize your plan every month or so after reevaluating your progress and level of pain. The therapist I had for the first month ended up leaving to continue his education, and even then, if Koreen saw me doing an exercise with bad form, she would come over and show me how to do it correctly. I GREATLY appreciated that she cared enough to help me. She painstakingly explained things to me and answered all my questions. Though I went there for pain, it's unavoidable to not learn about the rest of your body in the process. They left me with a better understanding of core muscles, what muscles being lengthened and shortened can do, an appreciation for exercise, a newfound respect for posture, and most importantly... a big reduction in pain. I felt sad to leave because Koreen and everyone else there have changed my life!

One gets the impression that although there are obviously other patients there, you are the only one that matters at that moment. The attitude is very friendly. Out of the 6 doctors that have predominately been working there, I've seen 4 of them. All are skilled and all are confident in their profession and make you feel like you are in good hands. I would recommend this place wholeheartedly and without hesitation. I would like to showcase one of the doctors working at this practice as being all of the above with the addition of an amazing personality and patient rapport. Dr. Brian Shafer is amazing. Seriously. He's one of those hard to find doctors that has top notch skills plus an incredibly personable demeanor - super hard to find with doctors at this surgical level of expertise (believe me). Sidebar note: I recently took my 19 year old daughter to see him for a recurring knee displacement issue and she just loved him (how many 19 year olds love anyone or anything outside of their age demographic?). He is worthy of a long drive, a change of office or physician ... he is just that great.
