    Wine & Chocolate Tasting
    Tiana K.

Visited with a social group of 8 on a perfect Sunday afternoon and had a great time! We did the $35 "Wine and Chocolate Experience" hosted by Javin who was patient and very knowledgeable about both the wine and the chocolate. Since there was a large group of us, I loved that he did 3/5 of the pairings first then came back after awhile for the last 2 so we never felt rushed and could fully enjoy the experience. After we'd each identified a favorite, we ended up staying for another glass or two of wine, enjoying the beautiful airy interior of the tasting room on a sunny day. Javin even offered to take a group photo of us, of which we were so appreciative. I highly recommend Patterson Cellars tasting room, especially the Wine and Chocolate Experience!

One of my favorite parts about Patterson is the opportunity to sit on their patio, order a bottle of wine, grab a pizza from next door, and enjoy the afternoon with friends. The wines are really great and some of my personal favorites in the SoDo area. They even have bubbles, if that's your jam!

Coming in to pick up the sparkling Rosé and having a flight!

We stopped by to get a taste of their newly released Sparkling Rosé. Just in time for Valentine's Day. The tasting room is pretty big with lots of seating available. The bar area is huge and can accommodate at least 12-15 people comfortably by itself. There is additional bar style seating on tables located through the room and a couple of sofa like areas to sit in. Definitely something for everyone! I like to sit at the bar so I can watch the servers and be part of the hub-bub! They were having a special Valentines tasting with their bubbly and rosé's, and I was eager to try them. Our server was nice, but was a little slow at serving. Surprisingly, there were a lot of us out tasting in spite of the snowy weather. Our server was the only person working, so he was behind on everybody, but we just took it in stride and enjoyed chatting with each other. I've been here before and on a normal day they are very on top of it. The wines were good and we took a few bottles home. We will definitely be back!

    5 wine/5 chocolate pairing experience

My friend reserved time for us to do their chocolate and wine experience - we had SO much fun. Not only was the wine phenomenal, and the chocolate delicious, the customer service was SUPERB! We felt safe, distanced from the other customers, staff was wearing masks and distancing, facilities were clean. The gentleman on staff was extremely knowledgeable about the wines, personable, funny and just took our experience to another level. We are frequent wine tasters and the conversation and interaction with the staff is half of the experience! And boy did Patterson deliver!! Patterson feels like family, so much that we ended up joining the wine club! We can't wait to go back and try the cheese experience next! We also love that there are 3 other locations we can visit and know we will have a consistent experience! The wines wines we tasted were phenomenal, we bought 2 to take home with us. I recommend the Melange Blanc for an amazing white, and the merlot! However, we enjoyed all of the wines we tasted!

Patterson is incredible! John's wines do not disappoint! Javin is a wonderful host and cook as well. From wedding wine orders to relaxing evenings you can be sure to be satisfied. The smoky flavor is unbeatable, as are the dessert wines. Nowhere I would rather turn 21 and watch dogs play on a slow evening.

Visited Patterson for the second time this last weekend during a rainy day outing on Woodenville. We came for the wine tastings after missing the time cut off before (they stop doing tastings at 5 pm FYI). They had two options, one that was all white wines/bubbles and one that was mainly reds with two whites. One of my friends and I opted for the whites/bubbles while the other opted for the reds and neither disappointed. Overall really enjoyed the experience and all the wines and would definitely come again.

Cannot say enough good things about Patterson. I have been a wine club member for 3 or so years now and have never been disappointed. This is my go to winery. I (almost) hate to share it The Woodinville location use to have my most favorite staff but times change and the new staff are just as great. The SoDo location was just as friendly, welcoming and clean. It's large with ample seating and table space. They (like the Woodinville location) are strategically located right next door to a restaurant! I did not try Nine Pies but will definitely try it in the future! If you are considering visiting Patterson, do it! You will not be disappointed. (Forbidden White, BDX, Petit Verdot, Due Anni, Chardonnay all the favs).

Everything about this place is great! The service? 10! Definitely will be returning for more tasting (drinking more than tasting)! It's aesthetically pleasing and great to be in! He even went extra arms length and got me olives! Please 100/10

Amazing wines, creative cocktails, solid snacks, great service and even games. You could wander in "for one flight" and somehow emerge six hours later wondering where the time went (in the best way.) On the wine side, they offer several thoughtfully curated flights, or you can build your own adventure. Which I highly recommend. The dessert wines alone are incredible, and the selection of aromatic whites is seriously impressive. No matter your palate, there's something here that will make you pause, sip again, and nod approvingly. And then there are the wine-based cocktails that deserve their own standing ovation. A wine tasting room doing cocktails this well is rare. We tried the Espresso Martini, the French 125, and the Lavender Lemon Martini, and every single one was better than I expected grape-based cocktails to be. Like, pleasantly shocked. Bottom line: if you're anywhere near Pike Place and enjoy wine (or cocktails, or fun, or all of the above) this place is a must. I can almost guarantee it'll become your new favorite spot.

This used to be one of my favorite spots at Pike Market. For years, I made it a tradition to bring out-of-town guests here. Over time, I have brought more than 100 people here. It had a charming, warm, and welcoming feel--like a hidden gem in the city. It oozed with kindness and fun. Unfortunately, that has completely flipped! Since the new manager, Anthony, took over, the entire atmosphere has shocked me. What was once inviting now is rigid, cold, and unwelcoming. The biggest issue, however, was the way I was treated. The interaction felt unnecessarily rude and dismissive, which was both surprising and disappointing given my long history with this place. Great establishments are built not just on food or ambiance, but on how people are treated--and that piece is clearly missing now. It's especially unfortunate because the rest of the team still shows glimpses of what this place used to be. Jordon, was genuinely kind and pleasant, but one positive interaction couldn't outweigh the manager's miserable attitude. It's hard to see a place that once felt so special lose its charm like this. I know the winemaker Paul is a great person - so it is hard to leave such a terrible review, but at the same time, if this was my place -- I would want to know what was happening behind the scenes at my establishment. I truly hope leadership reflects on how customer experience is being handled moving forward. Don't give money to places that have toxic attitudes and are joy crushers! Life is too short and far too precious! In the meantime, there are many nearby spots that consistently deliver both quality and incredible hospitality. Skip this place, and instead go to Browne Family Vineyards Tasting Room, The Lonely Siren, The Pink Door, Place Pigalle, or Maximilien. Those places are working very hard to create an exceptional experience!

You can choose to sit on the main floor, outside, or upstairs. Got a flight of red wine, a flight of whites, and a flight of chocolate (which comes with a glass of wine specifically as a pairing. This was my favorite wine). AND a free snack bowl was provided! The workers did an excellent job. They brought out the wines one at a time- describing each one in detail, even pointing out which were their favorites. The service was very personable, which is something I don't always get at other places that do wine tastings. The chocolates were melt in your mouth, with unique flavors, making it extra fun. I must note- getting the flights that we did was pricey, but I know, most wine tastings and fancy chocolates are going to be expensive. I also wish there was a little more chocolate in the flight. It was difficult to cut up and share. However, this was a wonderful experience that I'm happy to have tried once, and they deserve the 5 stars!

We ordered two first class flights and a chocolate flight. The first class is a red flight, but starts with champagne (yes real champagne). I've never had champagne to start a flight and I absolutely loved it. The flight was well placed with each wine growing bolder. The staff were extremely knowledgeable and took time to explain each wine to every table. The chocolate flight was the best chocolate I have ever had, the chocolatier was even serving our wine and brought out the chocolates as well. He explained every piece and where each ingredient was from. The chocolate flight came with a port that paired well with every chocolate. This wine tasting room is thoughtfully curated and you can tell with every glass and piece of chocolate.
