I've been passing this place every time I work in Humble. I'm only there a few times a month, and I've been meaning to try Pat's Donuts. When I got in the Drive-Thru, there was a line of cars. That's usually a sign of deliciousness. I got to the menu and so I my options. Kolaches, tacos, Donuts, what should I choose? I judge most donut shops buy their glazed donut, so I ordered one. I also added bacon egg and cheese taco. What I got was two glazed donuts for the price of one comma and a taco about the size of my thigh! It was huge! I thought surely there was some confusion. It appeared that I had ordered enough food to feed my family of 5, but it was just me in the car. What to do? What to do? Yes, I ate it all! It was delicious! I'd highly recommend this place! This will be my new favorite place for donuts in the area. Tried it on the recommendation of a fellow yelper and was pleased. If you live in Kingwood, it's worth the extra distance in my opinion. As far as "donut shops" go, the interior is large. There are more than a few tables if you want to stay and eat. This is a huge plus in my opinion based on the decent sized breakfast menu they have. Besides donuts and kolaches, you can get breakfast sandwiches on biscuit or croissant, as well as, breakfast tacos made-to-order. They also have coffee selections that include mochas, lattes, and iced varieties. The glazed donuts are exactly what you want. Fresh and they practically melt in your mouth. They go down way to fast and easy and there is nothing that can keep you from another one. The kolaches are also hot and fresh. I like mine with sausage, cheese, and jalapeno. On this particular morning, it was exactly what I wanted to kick-start my day. My wife thought the potato, egg, and cheese breakfast taco was out of this world. I also took notice of how large it was. The kids love the glazed donut holes. I'll definitely be back lots more and plan to sample everything on the menu. read more

You can't go wrong here. Is there a reason why the cars are lined up on the feeder of 59? Yes. It would be great donuts, honestly everything is great here. Kolaches, donuts, tacos, it doesn't matter. I sure do miss living in New Caney, because I don't get my Pat's as often as I used to. We have tried almost everything on the menu and everything here is delicious... My fave, is the delicious, little man in the back, that I see wrapping the dough on the kolaches... I love him. I want to marry him. My second favorite thing is the boudain kolaches, but all the kolaches are delicious. The breakfast tacos are fully loaded and delicious... my daughter has enjoyed plenty a breakfast sandwich here, and she's happy every time... delicious. They have iced coffee as well, and it's delicious... It's called Pat's Donuts and Pat's donuts are delicious!! The drive through line is busy in the mornings, but moves quickly and the customer service has always been great. When I've had time to go inside, it's always been clean. No complaints here. Try the Kolaches. Trust me. Try them all, you won't regret it. The glazed donuts were melt in your mouth, light, fluffy, perfectly glazed with just the right sweetness. The old fashioned donuts were dense without being dry and a dozen felt like a glorious weight in my arms as we exited the shop. The specialty donuts were expertly matched flavors and there wasn't one I tried that wasn't good. I wasn't pleased with this place at all. The donuts that we had were a little too airy for me. It's like when I bit into them, there was practically no substance. My husbands apple fritter was crispy, so a tad too fried in my opinion. Their regular kolache really didn't stand out than any other kolache I had. I think I would have been fine just going to Shirley's right down the street. I've tried the donut holes, croissant breakfast sandwich, and the boudain kolache from Pat's donuts. Donut holes have a firm, chewy texture and the glaze remains flaky and doesn't melt off. The croissant sandwich with ham was filling but I felt like it didn't live up to my expectations. It was a store-bought croissant with a folded slice of ham straight from the package that was placed in a microwave before being served. I honestly make better sandwiches when I'm rushing out the door in the morning with only 3 minutes to put something together. The saving grace at Pat's Donuts is the boudain kolache. If you are from Texas, you know the awesomeness that is the kolache. If you are from the gulf coast area, then you know the awesomeness that is the boudain sausage. This is my favorite donut shop. All their food is fresh and delicious. I get the long john (something I highly recommend) and the breakfast tacos. The breakfast tacos always come out super hot but delicious. They are so big that the shop should really call them breakfast burritos. The drive through is mostly always lined up with cars with could really be time consuming when you are looking for a place to pick up and go. I have had mixed experiences with the staff. Some people that work there are super nice while others are on the cell phones and clearly don't care about customer service. The quality has really gone down. I've always loved this place, and I hope that they take this criticism constructively. The donuts are still good, but the kolaches and croissants aren't what they used to be. The kolaches used to be fluffy, filling, and the meat inside tasted great. Now, the kolaches' bread is flatter and hollowed out with a big cavity in the middle where the meat rolls around in. Also the meat in the kolaches has a weird after taste. If I wanted that quality, then I'd go to shipleys. The croissants used to be actual croissants which were flaky and had whatever you wanted in them cooked well (chewy savory bacon, an entire fried egg, full slice of cheese). Now, the croissants have become this weird short stiff hoagie bun, and the stuff on the inside is over cooked or processed (egg pieces, cheese sprinkles). My bacon has been burnt the last couple times I've been there. I hope that they will go back to how they used to be. I used to eat here almost every morning before work. read more
