I took my daughter and myself there to get full sets. As we sat waiting on a chair, another lady walked in and stated she did not have an appointment. When chairs became available, the other lady was asked to take a seat. She asked them, "weren't they here first?" They then asked me to take a seat. While sitting there, the man started to talk, and it sounded like he was fussing in his native tongue. I asked the nail tech to stop. I said, "I will go somewhere my money is appreciated." She looked at me and apologized. I would say he treated me like this because of the color of my skin, but I'll say he was being ignorant towards me and my child. *Extremely long review, but worth the read* I just moved to Kentucky about a month ago and being young, salons usually rush on my services bc they assume I won't tip or whatever the case may be. I walked in here completely skeptical bc of the reviews and location, it just didn't look like it got much business. I walked in and was instantly greeted, I told them I wanted a pedicure so they began to draw my foot bath. I told them I wanted to have a Chocolate Pedicure ($35) and that I wanted gel. They told me that the gel would be $15 extra and clarified to make sure that's what I wanted and I said yes. The lady that worked on me said that she's new and her name is Mai (sp?). She VERY MUCH took her time and was very intricate with everything. She massaged my legs probably twice. I was in the chair for no lie, 1 hour and 30 minutes. I walked in at 2:41pm and walked out at 4:18pm. For a pedicure??? By the near end a lady, who to my perception was the owner, kept reassuring me that if I chipped my nail (ANY nail) that I could just come in and they'd fix it. Mind you, I just got a $35 + $15 gel pedicure. I haven't been so happy walking out of a nail salon, probably ever in my entire life. And I've lived in the Philippines, Japan, San Diego & El Paso. I tipped them $10 in cash and when I was going to tip them $10 on my card, she literally stopped me and told me that I don't have to tip again but, hell that didn't stop me. They have a little dog roaming the salon, so if you're allergic, be weary, but it's probably so used to people that it's not even phased anymore, it didn't approach me or anything. read more

I've been coming to this salon for almost 3 years now. There were only 2x they were not available to help me. The only thing that I would mark them down on is the fact that after all this time they still don't know my name. They are a mom&pop shop which means they put their heart and soul into this operation. Their youngest daughter works with them when she's not in school. They are open 7 days a week! That's awesome for someone like me who is usually working late or busy with other things on a Saturday. They just recently changed their Monday open time to noon but othewise they open at 10am Tu-Sa. They will usually take walk-ins till 630pm most weeknights. They are on top of the new colors, especially the color changing polish. It's because of them I'm hooked! read more

This place has the most affordable prices, friendly and talented staff members, and so many polish colors and gel styles to choose from. I got a regular pedi and a gel mani here and my total was $50, which is much less than what I'd pay for the same services at a salon in Louisville. The only downside is that this salon is small and is usually very busy so there's almost always a wait time, but it's worth the wait. read more

This place is trash! All I wanted was my nails off and the tech was upset because my acrylic was so thick. She tried to pop them off and I told her no. When she said she was finished I still had acrylic left on my nails. The longest soak ever and she still didn't get it all off. Won't be wasting my time or money going back there. read more

Was desperately looking for a decent nail salon in the area and I decided to give this place a shot because the prices seemed reasonable. I went in looking for a fill and was immediately disappointed at the fact that they couldn't just remove my current polish color and allow me to get a whole different color. they pretty much wanted me to get the same shade of color and just cover up the current work that I had, so I suggested that maybe we do some type of glitter ombré which seemed to work fine but was not really what I wanted... After I paid I noticed a hair in my nail so I brought it to the guys attention but no matter How hard I tried to show him he pretended like he couldn't see it and told me that it was a crack at the bottom of my nail when clearly there's no crack in my nail... he said it wasn't his problem and Then was rude enough to start laughing at me with his coworkers and talking to them in their language so that I couldn't understand what he was saying. Finally I gave up and left but I'm pretty upset that for $35 all they could do was cover up my nail with some glitter and not even do a good job at it. I'm giving three stars because other then the rudeness and lack of creation the guy did an alright job. My impressions from visiting this salon with my spouse: Spacious and cordial- nothing too fancy, but service is good. The space is open and helps reduce the acrylic smell that many nail salon shops might have. They don't offer powder gel but they do have a more durable type of nail gel. There are six (6) very comfortable chairs for Pedicure and eight (8) for manicure. Prices are very reasonable. read more

The worse customer service! I'm an out of state customer who needed a "fill". I call and asked if they do the type of fill I needed before I went . He stated yes. They don't take appts. I arrive they ask what I need I tell her and I said I called on the way and she walks away. I stand there looking around not knowing to pick my color or sit somewhere . I'm pacing around and they finally tell me to pick a color. Long story short I see her using the wrong the products and I said when I called I asked him if you guys do that service here. So I went to check this place out and if your in a hurry this is the place for you. I however was not in a hurry. I love a nice long mani/pedi. This place took all of one hour to do both. And I always get regular polish on my toes and shellac/gel polish on my fingernails and that carry the matching polishes but somebody forgot to tell the polishes that they were supposed to match! And it even kind of hurt when she was taking the polish off of my toes, yanking and scrubbing the heck out of my toes! I won't be returning to this place. read more

Unfortunately I am still looking for a good nail shop. I will never come back here. Rude, not customer orientated and my nails and toes were horrible. I got seated right away for my pedicure. But for my manicure they didn't understand that I did not want any color and I did not want fake nails. All I wanted was a American manicure gel. They didn't have that so they put some light colored pink on me and that did not work. It began to chip and fall off the very next week. I wish I would have taken pictures. Worst experience ever!!! I am not usually one to write a review however, went in to get my nails filled in. I had them done a few weeks ago while on vacation. Heard good things about this place but they must have been false because the man working on my nails was rude burped not once but twice!! Never said sorry or excuse me. Didn't was his hands or sanitize. Had a bad attitude the entire time. Messed my shape up on my coffin nails took a huge chunk out of one of my pointer nails. Couldn't do any of the nail styles I wanted. Then after I paid $35 for a fill in I get home and after a few hours my gel polish starts to chip. If you aren't familiar with gel they are supposed to last for at least 2 weeks. But nope not mine when I called the next morning he was like you can come in and I will fix them I told him no he had done enough damage and that I just wanted a refund he told me no and to do what ever I needed to do to be happy. read more

I have been a customer at Patriot Nails for four years and have previously left a great review. It was really worth coming here for the wax dip that most salons charge extra for, but not anymore. In the last year I have witnessed the man who seems to be the owner yell at a customer who didn't realize that her $100 gift certificate was good only for six months and not for a year and they wouldn't let her use it. Apparently she is a long time customer who has brought them lots of new customers over the years and he literally screamed at her and his wife who wanted to let the lady use the gift certificate. It was horrible to watch. I have also watched people sign in, be told it would be an hour, they leave to run some errands, come back and wait for a while, and then people who signed in later are taken before them. What is the sign-in sheet for? The services are fine, but the way customers are treated is shameful. They recently did some remodeling and the place looks a lot better, but they should have done something about the lime-yellow paint, the tacky "art" and other 1980s decorations--just because you have something that CAN be put on the wall doesn't mean you SHOULD put it on the wall. They often have a little dog running around and one girl seems to have a gang of her friends come in and hang out and eat and yell in front of clients. Really not appropriate! They also need to get rid of more of the crap piled up behind some of the furniture in the center of the room. No one looks at the five year old magazines so get rid of the stacks and stacks of them. They need to understand that there are dozens of nail salons in the area that are not tacky and cluttered where clients are treated in a friendly, respectful and fair way and customers will go to those instead. read more

I wanted to give a better score. They are truly so sweet in there, but my experience was not good. I had gel on my toes. They didn't soak the shellac off- just filed it down, which left my nails brittle and led to two broken toe nails. (I did not get gel put back on) For my nails, I had a mood gel put on, but (even though he asked if I had had it before and I said no) he failed to tell me that it is a winter polish and would stay white the whole time. It would not have been so bad if his lines were not so wonky. It was just awful. I went back today to have them just take it off. I was too embarrassed to go anywhere else with it on. Again- he used the dremel, then soaked,then dremeled some more. My nails will have to be filed down to let them get strong again. I was hopeful, since I live on post and they are so convenient, but they just didn't impress. I will drive a little farther and try again.
