I called this company to get propane tanks and propane for our new pool heater. Nothing but problems with this company. We had tanks dropped off and had to have them approve of the installation before they would supply propane. One of their employees did the inspection and tentatively approved but needed to take pictures and have another employee also approve. Propane was delivered but approximately one month later patriot propane told me the setup was not acceptable and another one of their employees would have to come and inspect the setup. That employee told us the current setup was dangerous and he would have to change it for $450. Ok, so we have had the setup like this for a month and now it is determined that it was dangerous?? That's extremely unacceptable! But, an appointment was made with us for this employee to come and fix the problem. The appointment was first a week later for 8AM to 8:30 AM. That day we waited until approximately 12:00. We called to see where their employee was and when he would arrive being that he was 4 hours overdue. I was told by patriot propane that the appointment was cancelled. So when were the going to notify us that the appointment was cancelled. This was the proverbial straw that broke the camel's back. So i told them to and come and pick ip their tanks and we will not be doing any more business with them. There were other problems also but to extensive to list and describe them. read more

Wow. Moved into a new house. Ran out of propane faster than expected. It's 30 degrees out. Fed requirements say you need the various tests before you can refill with an empty tank. Patriot came out same day, spent 4 hours with the tests and then refilled our 1000 G underground tank same day. We have 2 young kids and are super appreciative. If you wanna get ripped-off, overcharged, and hung out to dry, then this is the company for you! I'm a cash customer. I called for a price quote today (January 2018) to fill my 120G outdoor LP tank... these guys quoted me a price of $6.03 per gallon (that's SIX dollars per gallon). I laughed. I thought there was a mistake. I confirmed that price was correct. They were unable to explain why it was so much. I own my equipment and do not have a contract with them, so I guess its possible this price might be lower if I was in a contract. read more

Worst company to deal with hands down. Customer service is extremely lacking and overall no regard for any situation. I was given misleading information regarding a payment plan. I was told I could make monthly payments on my bill and was doing so. Then I began receiving a phone call everyday from their credit department advising of an outstanding balance, they even mentioned they could clearly see I was satisfying the balance and noted I had been paying on the balance. Again I was clearly told I could make payments. The balance was paid within a few months of getting my tanks filled up. I then learned that my account was cancelled without notice when I called and needed an emergency fill up of propane. I have a 1 yo child in the house, and it's winter. The customer service rep had no regard for that and only told me she was sorry, and she could not provide me any details of why the account was closed. DO NOT DEAL WITH THEM. What joke. read more

We have had EXCELLENT service from the service and delivery personnel. They are knowledgable, courteous, and helpful. The only problems we have had dealt with their scheduling. While on an automatic delivery plan, we ran out of LP twice in the last two years, but this was after 10 years of excellent service. The scheduling protocol was hard to understand as they introduced a gap... Customer service did work with us to our satisfaction, so we remain customers. read more

In the first 18-months if service, we ran out of propane six times! Service issues with furnace last year took three technicians to finally diagnose the issue. Service windows are cancelled, mistakes made. This is an extremely frustrating organization to work with . . . heading into a cool weekend, once again furnace is not working. Service window: 9:30-1:30. Then, new call--sorry we made a mistake. Make that 4:00-6:00. I guess I just don't understand. Shouldn't it be under-promise and over-produce. Seriously, your canned response to any negative review, makes me want to gag. This word for word identical 'comment from the owner' to every single customer who got screwed, is further proof of your total LACK of commitment, and being completely DEVOID of any kind of service. Once again, these are just and only EMPTY WORDS people. There was no response to my complete service failure letter to the home office. NONE. I spent countless hours on hold on the so-called service line. There were repeated empty and broken promises of 'correcting' the critical service breach. It has been attempted many times, in multiple ways to communicate what it will take to 'rectify' the situation. Leffler Energy/Patriot Propane has indicated zero interest on that matter. Nobody really wanted to speak directly with me before, including the general manager at the home office. So why the sudden interest in reaching out now? Oh, wait---an alarmingly negative, public review that paints an accurate picture of what it is like to do business with Leffler Energy/Patriot Propane. Absolutely unbelievable. read more

Very unethical company. If I could give 0 stars I would! Renting a tank from them and had a leak on a Sunday in February 2019. I called and they told me to call the fire company before they would come out. I did then they told me it would cost me $100+ to come out. Really its their tank that was leaking?? The fire company told me the tank would be fine as long as I didn't use it so I told them I would call them back the next day, Monday, to come out cause I wasn't paying the fee. The lady I talked to Monday morning said shes not sure why they told me there would be a charge when its a tank issue and its a rental so they are responsible for any cost and it is required for them to come out for a leak as soon as its reported. They scheduled me for 6 pm that night. At 7 when no one had shown, I called again. They said my appt was cancelled. I asked why and by who? They didn't know. They then scheduled someone to come out between 10pm and midnight that same night...how ridiculous! Someone came at 9pm and while there told me the tank is illegally placed next to a window....really??? It was put there by them 5 years prior and was filled 3xs a year since that and no one ever said it was illegally placed. The service guy said it should be moved before being filled and not to open that window while its still there. Needless to say the next day the tank was filled without being moved. I called and they sorry and that said it should be fine where it is until the next fill up as long as I don't open that window and it will be moved prior to it being filled again. 2 months later the tank was once again filled without being moved. I called and requested the tank to be removed permanently....I told them it is illegally placed, putting my family in danger and they don't seem to care so I will get another supplier. They came 4 days later, after another call asking to have it removed immediately. I was then charged for the delivery of the propane in the tank. I called and said I wasn't paying for it because I didn't use it since it was filled and it was supposed to be moved prior to filling and it wasn't. A month later I got a bill...the propane charge was removed but there was a pickup fee on the bill. I again called saying I wasn't paying for a tank to be picked up that they placed illegally and then refused to move. I also said if anything I should be getting a refund for the propane that was in the tank prior to them refilling it. The woman agreed that I shouldn't have to pay the removal fee and said I would be issued a refund for the propane in the tank prior to refilling that I already paid for. That was on May 10, 2019. On June 8, 2019 I got another bill for the removal of the tank this time with a late fee! I called and the lady said that the credit was only asked for approval on May 10th. Ok, that was a month ago...does it take a month to get a refund approved??? This looks like it is going to be a never ending hassle from them! I don't even care about the refund anymore, I just want the bill for the removal to go away!!! SO TIRED IF THIS!! read more

Do not give them a second of your time. Worst propane company. First delivery was great. They delivered a second time and raised our price 1.30 a gallon the second delivery, which I never ordered in the first place, and when I called to ask 1)why did you deliver when we didn't order and didn't need any and I did not sign for automatic delivery, and 2) why did the price go up so much, the rep I was dealing with claimed that the first time we got a "first fill rate" and that every propane company has this. They NEVER mentioned this at any point in the initial sign up. I called martindale, nolts, and another propane company and none of them have first fill rates. I called him back to tell him to please cancel my service and he said he would call me back with a resolution. I heard nothing. I ended up having to call FIVE times just to cancel my service. I'm telling you, there are better propane companies to give your hard earned money to. read more
