Do not recommend! Look elsewhere. Bad communication, very poor value for the quality of workmanship, and no follow through to ensure a functional result. I just finished a custom home construction where Patriot Electric was the subcontractor handling all my electrical needs. Among all the subcontractors, they were the most problematic, by far. When we did the initial walkthrough with a senior member of the company in February, he was grouchy, inattentive, and refused to write down any of the details on the plans that we printed for him. My GC and I had spent many hours preparing for this meeting and presented the plan over a 7 hour meeting with him, and I guess he was just going to remember all these details when the work was done? Not unexpectedly, there were myriad mistakes when the team came to lay my wiring. Switches were wrong, outlets missing. When my GC called them to make corrections to their mistakes, it was met with hostility and annoyance - corrections were grudgingly made. The greatest issue I have with Patriot is that when I requested "dim to warm" overhead lighting - such as the Phillips warm dimming LEDs - I ended up with Smart lighting by Halo that must be programmed using an app to create "16 million different colors" (who needs THAT?). There was no discussion with me to ensure they had selected the correct product. Before I knew it, they were installed all over my house. It turns out that these recessed smart cans are not compatible with a wall dimmer and are wholly dependent on using the WizApp in order to direct their brightness and color. Three months after the final electrical trim was complete, my overhead can lighting is still not functional and no one (including Patriot) can make this lighting function as designed. When I turn on my kitchen, 5 lights are "warm white" and 2 lights are "cool white". If I flip the switch, some of the lights even go from whites to purple or blue! Since these "smart" Halo cans came with a premium cost, I am angry and disappointed that I am still not in control of the lighting products that were selected by Patriot without discussion. The final cherry on top of this insulting sundae is that Patriot just submitted a $1700 bill to my general contractor for last week's visit to try to address the problems with my overhead lighting (failed again), to install an outlet that they missed on the plans, and to fix a pendant light that they couldn't get to function on the first 2 visits. This is on top of the $23,000 that I have already paid for their build services. If you have a simple project, unlimited funds, and don't care about customer service, this may be your company, but I'd personally recommend steering clear. These folks are the recommended electricians for my 55 and older manufactured home park. I called to see if someone could come out and help me with a switch problem and the girl said she'd get back to me. More than 24 hrs later, I called again and this time left a message. It's now Day 4 without a response so I can only assume they are not interested in returning calls or they've decided they don't need my business. We needed a yearly service on our heater/air conditioning units and also a check of the electrical circuits in our house as we have had some tripped breakers. We called Patriot Electric and "Vicky" stated they did not service heating and air conditioning units but would come out for the circuit breaker issues (I don't understand why they couldn't do it all). She stated "Cory" would call us back to make the appointment. I asked Vicky why an electrician would not service heat and cooling units and she stated they only do new construction. - I beg to differ as their website clearly states "Patriot Electric is happy to announce our new residential and commercial fix and repair service, we have a full time dedicated employee and service truck available to handle all those simple fixes." This is one of the reasons I called this company. The second reason I called this particular company is that they show a blurb from their Facebook page stating how much they honor and are grateful to veterans for their service. Well, I'm a veteran and thanks for not even having the courtesy to call me back. I don't appreciate being used for your phony ads nor does any other veteran. We fulfilled our jobs! read more

Patriot electric is very professional and prompt. I have had all my electrical needs taken care of from them since 2007. They are clean, polite and very honestly priced (and I did my share of calling around!). I would highly recommend making them your first call :).
