I jumped in the car and headed to EPC. I called back to confirm it was in fact the Turbo and it was. When I got there Carl had it ready and said he was able to sell it to me for $115. It was clearly used but when I took it back to my store and plugged it in (had to use a parallel cable instead of USB) it worked like a champ. EPC's price was less than 1/2 of anything I saw on the internet and I was able to get it immediately. It had been a while since I had been here but will certainly return next time I need something.

Not wanting to surrender the computer to the scrap heap, I took it to NewAge Computer; they ran some diagnostics and did some real digging into the reports and realized there were some drive read errors which needed sorting out; they did it and for under $300 for their time. After a lot of testing by them we decided to re-platform to a larger HAF case for cooling purposes. They also tuned the heat settings since my AMD Ryzen was/is the problem.
