Marcos sold me a car in May of 2021 that appeared to be good but as soon as I got it home in DC the…read morecheck engine light came on. After Audi of Bethesda Dealership did a $900 diagnostic because it's a Audi hybrid I was told the engine would have to be taken out and the timing chain would need to be replaced which is a $9000 repair. The warranty I bought through my credit union would not repair because I only had the car for a few days and it didn't have at least 500 miles on it. Resultingly the credit union returned my $3000 I paid for the warranty. I reached out to Marcos and wanted to return the car to but he would not take it back. I guess that what I get for paying for the car outright. Marcos owns an electric car which he mentioned to me and that he is saavy with reprogramming computers in cars. Thus, I believe he tinkered with this vehicle computer to get it sold before the engine light came on. Marco referred me to an "Audi Specialist" in Manassas who gave me false information about the car but not before he sqeezed me out of $1200 in repairs. He claimed he fixed the problem and turned off the check engine light so I could drive it the 500 miles for a warranty to fix the problem. BIG FAT LIE!!! Once I got a warranty with Car Shield and the 500 or so miles, I took it to the dealer again and got the same diagnostic. I contacted Car Shield after I put it back in Audi of Arlington and they came in with a forensic engine specialist that put cameras through the engine to prove they were not responsible for the issue. According to the computer it was able to provide a freeze frame of the actual time and date of the original check engine light after I got the car and of course it was before Car Shield warranty was obtained. I was stuck with a car that needed fixing so I took it to another Audi repair shop in Pasadena, Md that offered to fix it for $3600. That did not happen!! He made so many excuses such as my dog died, Covid issues, parts stuck on ships in the ocean from Germany, blah blah blah. The car left his shop worse than it came in. To sum it the horrible experience Marcos sold me a lemon and I would never do business with him again.....The saga continues. please see Criswell Audi of Annapolis and Paul's Automotive for the remainder of this dumpster fire of a story.....

RE: 24 Derrick Lane, Stafford, VA 22554…read more I have just returned home from the above-referenced location of Car Web, Inc. After speaking a couple of times with a salesman, I took time out of my busy day to drive from Largo, MD to Stafford, VA to test drive a green 2013 Land Rover Range Rover Evoque. The car was in great condition and drove smoothly. Thus, upon completion of the test drive, I went inside the facility to discuss numbers. My salesman was absolutely great! He asked me about using his company's financing, but I told him I had already been pre-approved by my credit union. He inquired further but was not pushy about trying to convince me otherwise. Then, he drafted the preliminary paperwork for his finance department to use in developing a 'Bill of Sale.' I would then need to provide my credit union this purchase agreement, after which the credit union would tender a check to Car Web for the agreed-upon price of the car, as shown on the 'Bill of Sale.' The owner walks in... Right off the bat, he was unprofessional, speaking loudly about work being performed at this home, etc. I heard him even though I was not sitting near him because his voice was amplified. When he came through the door, I was not looking in is direction or listening intently, as I was on my cell phone speaking to colleagues and working remotely, but I heard him barking at his employees. After waiting 15 minutes or so, I then began moving around in my chair looking for my salesman. Since I knew it would take at least 24 hours to get my credit union to release the funds to cover the purchase price, I did not think it was necessary to wait needlessly at Car Web. As I turned towards the owner's desk, I noticed that it was surrounded by at least four people. It appeared they were in a meeting, and I heard the owner say, "This is not a church...," it's a dealership. After a few more minutes, I arose from my chair and proceeded in the direction of the door. I asked a young man who worked for Car Web, who was coming inside the facility, to ask my salesman to call me after his meeting. The young man approached my salesman and asked him to speak with me. My salesman said, "We need you to sign the 'Bill of Sale'...just give it a few more minutes." Less than 5 - 7 minutes later, the owner and his entourage approached the desk where I was sitting. [Apparently, this impromptu sales meeting was all about me!] He said, "I own this [place]," then proceeds to ask me a series of questions regarding my decision NOT to use Car Web's financing, including the interest rate quoted by my credit union and my credit score. Now, I have the owner, my salesperson, and about three other people standing over me. I told the owner I was uncomfortable talking to his entire sales team about my personal information, and he responded by sending one of them away. In the end, the owner opted NOT to sell me the car because he said he received a call from someone else who wanted to use Car Web to finance this same vehicle and purchase a limited warranty for it. The owner also accused me of disrespecting him. He said, in his experience, "people," [and I'm not sure if he meant all people or just African-American females] who say they are going to return to purchase a car from him, typically do not. And he reiterated this sentiment more than one time, to which I replied, "Car salesmen don't have the best reputation either," so there's risk on both sides. He quickly said, "You've just disrespected me, and I am not going to sell a car to anyone who disrespects me." Translated: I believe I can make more money off this car from the potential buyer who "said" she would come later today, so later for you! I left promptly and peacefully. All in all... this clown did me a favor! Even though I honestly feel his decision was rooted heavily in racism, I certainly do not care to waste my precious time pursuing the purchase of a mediocre second car from a dimwitted nincompoop. Oops! I disrespected him again. (-: Peace & Love The Church Lady

When I woke the next day i looked at the paperwork again because it was late when i drove all the way from Columbia MD to VA. He changed the price of the car from $6995 to $8995. SO I called and asked him how did he change the price to be higher, that is illegal. He claimed he explained to me that the bank did not approve me for the full amount and he had to add the balance back into the price. They approved me for $6100 so how is the difference $2000. I told him he didn't explain that to me and he kept claiming he did. I told him I thought that was the total with fees and he said it was fees. I told him that's not what he said. He told me I could bring the car back. So hopped in the car and when I got there he tells me he does not give refunds on deposits or down payments and pointed to some printed up sign in an 8x10 frame on the back wall behind the seats. I told him he was supposed to advised me of all costs on every line of the paperwork and of the no refunds. He said it was legal. I told him as much as he was messing up the ppwk I think he knew I wasn't a slow person. And my son was a witness that he didn't tell me certain things. He also told me the price advertised was the "cash" price. I said he didn't advertise or tell me about any cash price and that it's subject to change if financed. He gave me back $1000 of my deposit because he thought I 'was a nice person. After going back and forth he told me he would run it on Monday to see if I could get qualified at another bank for the whole amount and then I would only have to give him $500 to add to the $500 that he didn't refund. I already knew that another bank was going to do the same thing. On Monday I called and said I wanted my money back because my atty said that transaction was illegal since he changed the price from what was advertised to the what was on the ppwk. He then wouldn't contact me back. My son and I kept calling and getting the run around. He was put on the phone and he told my son that was another MJ and he would be in tomorrow and hung up on my son. I finally sent him a message 2 weeks later stating I was going to be there the next day with the state police for the remainder of my deposit. Especially since he said he would give it back to me if I couldn't get financed for the whole amount. After I called him from a different number he answered..he kept saying everything was legal and he only was doing the right thing. I said how are you doing that when you won't give me back my money and I only had the car less than 12 hrs. I also asked how would it look in court if your policy says you don't give refunds and you've given me back 2/3's of my money. I'm sure the judge will ask why. After he decided to give me back my money that day.
