I will start by saying that I was very reluctant to purchase in this incredibly outrageous housing market in the summer of 2022. With that in mind I entered discussions with Patrick very defensive as I had to keep the best interest of my family and I as I was completely dumbfounded by the price of homes in Hawaii. Back story is my family and I moved here from El Paso, Texas and we had saved in preparation for the move and subsequent investment. Expecting that our savings would help us in the negations and in the affordability aspect of making the big investment. Unfortunately, Hawaii is a completely different market and I was visibly cautious about the purchase. Patrick was the consummate professional from the first time we met, and has now become a friend beyond the home purchase. Patrick was cool, calm, collected for everything thing I threw at him. And I threw everything short of the kitchen sink at him. Patrick was prompt, precise, and provided recommendations when I was at a loss of words. A formidable experience. I can't speak highly enough of my experience with Patrick Lum, the level of professionalism and diligence surpasses expectations. I was a first-time homebuyer with very little knowledge about how to find the right place. I met with Patrick and knew instantly that he was the one for this process, as knowledge was evident during initial interactions. He is honest and hands-on (he even went out of his way to help through answering questions I had, which were beyond the realtor's responsibilities to answer), and he really helped to take the pressure off of the experience. Patrick Lum is literally the best agent I could have hoped for. I contacted him in January of 2020, buying our house in August 2020, and closed in October. Because of being military and things with COVID, I did not no know when I would be on island until about 2 weeks out.
