The service department is not the friendliest! Whenever I try to make an appointment to drop off my car and get a loaner they always tell me that there are no loaners available till the following MONTH or so! I know they are doing some remodeling because the waiting area is horrible! That is why I always would like a loaner because there is absolutely no decent waiting area. Of course, they rip you off in fixing ANYTHING! read more

What a horrible experience at Patrick BMW!!! Before we came, we exchanged multiple emails, where it was verified that the car is available. And the email said that car is prepared and waiting for us. We drove after work to the dealership just to wait for 30 min. Salesperson was completely clueless that we were coming, had no idea what vehicle we were talking about and, of course, it was already sold!!! Sales manager passed us by multiple times, and he did not offer any help. Dealership is not trustworthy, and sales personnel, especially internet department, is completely unprofessional. read more

Had a decent experience buying a car from here a while back, but the lackluster rating is for the peach of a gal who is the receptionist/secretary/whoever answers phones and sits by the door. 1) If someone is calling you, hopelessly lost, but still wants to come to your dealership (i.e. wants to give your place of employment large sums of money that day), don't be nasty and refuse to give directions. I'm so sorry I don't know what city I'm in...I live in downtown Chicago, Golf Road is freaking long and spans like 23904 cities, and I just want to know what side of the stupid highway you are on. THAT'S IT. If you have no clue where I am and don't know how to help me, just say it. Don't be rude about it. 2) If I finally make it inside your place of business, and because I drove around lost for so long, now have to use the restroom like no one's business, don't give me "The Hand" when I ask you where the bathroom is. I'm not the one who told you to wear that uber-fashionable earpiece so NO ONE CAN SEE YOU'RE ON THE PHONE (presumably being rude to another customer who can't find your dealership). Seriously...you're a luxury car dealership. Hire someone with more social skills than a piece of lettuce to be your receptionist and answer your phones. I think it's worth the investment. read more

I recently leased a BMW 530e at Patrick BMW and cannot express what a great experience it was working with Alan Murad and his entire staff. I was given the 'white glove' treatment after having many other choices to do my car shopping and this was THE best experience I've ever had as the car is a 'machine' and I am saving a lot of 'gas expenses' due to the automated/electrical feature of this car. I highly recommend seeing Alan if you're looking 5* and great car shopping experience. -- Ken Valdiserri read more

Michael Urbana is so kind and got my partner and I on the road with our new (to us) car right away. The whole team made sure that we had all of our questions answered and that we had a comfortable experience. At the end, they even gave us a bouquet, key chains, and a follow up call to make sure that we were happy with our decision! 10/10 experience. :) read more

I'm not sure what happened that brought only 3 star to this dealership. But my experience was hands down a very well worthy 5 star. Their sales, Patrick Lecinski, was by far one of the best salesman I've ever encountered. When we were waiting for the finance dept to open up space for signing, he kept us very comfortable, checking regularly on the status and chat with us on all stuff to keep us happy. Thoughtfully planned everything, and we could not been any happier. read more

Let me start off by saying, don't waste your time at Schaumburg BMW. Go to Crystal Lake BMW instead. I don't really write reviews but for this occasion I really felt the need to. I switch cars very frequently and just stick to german luxury cars. I went into Schaumburg BMW on a weeknight in the hopes of trading my Audi S5 in for a 335i. Usually you would think a sales person would be enthusiastic in the hopes of getting a customer. Unfortunately that was not the case here, as I was greeted by an older grumpy gentlemen, Sal. My wife and I started by asking what 335i's you have in stock. His first question was how will you be paying for this? Usually I'm not offended by questions like this from a dealer but his tone was just awful. I told him we can pay cash or finance depending on the APR. A little background, while we may look young, my wife and I are both engineers with great salaries. He started showing us his inventory on his computer and said "well we might not have what you're looking for..." I didn't even tell him the specifics yet. Specifically I was looking for a 2013+ 335i x-drive in a manual transmission. Once I told him that, he said we wouldn't be able to find a car like anywhere in the area currently. Which i was ok with, as we found a couple in a different state at other BMW dealerships. I had called BMW USA to confirm these dealerships were in the same network and would be able to port the car. BMW USA confirmed they would be able to and Schaumburg BMW would be very helpful. Sal continued to say well this is impossible as management would never approve this. I told him to ask his manager but he said all of the managers went home for the day. I asked Sal to just confirm with the other dealership if they were willing to send the car to Schaumburg. He walked out of the room to "call" that dealership. My wife went to get coffee and saw him laughing with other employees and not making any calls. He came to back into the room and said the dealership is unwilling to send the car to them. Which was a lie because I called the dealership and they were very helpful to confirm they would be willing to send the car as long as Schaumburg would cover the $500 porting fee. Which I had no issue paying myself. I decided to leave because I got the feeling he just didn't want to help us. I told him to have the manager call me the next day, no one has called me. I would never recommend anyone going to Schaumburg BMW. I went to Crystal Lake BMW instead and they had the best service ever. Ended up buying a 335i M sport through them. Everyone was super friendly and helpful from the moment we walked in. Even with it being close to closing they never rushed us at all.  They called me to confirm I was happy with my purchase and if everyone was helpful. They were looking for feedback. This is the type of service that everyone should be receiving. I would recommend Crystal Lake BMW to anyone looking for respect and friendly service. A big thank you to James Orton (sales) , Derrick (service), and manager Derrick. You guys made my car buying experience great! read more

I was in the market for a new car and Patrick had the exact car I was looking for offered at a pretty decent price on their website. I submitted the form that said I was interested, and spoke to the Internet sales manager a couple of times and made an offer on the car sight unseen on Monday. Tuesday and Wednesday rolled around and nary a word from the person I was working with. I emailed back on Wedensday afternoon and asked if they had an update on the offer and if I could come see the car on Friday night after I got back into town. I received no response on the offer, but he said that "Friday at 6PM would be great. Ask for the sales manager!" So, Friday night my wife and I drive an hour north to Schaumburg to see the car. I walk in the dealership and the receptionist pages a salesperson. Even though I see a few salespeople walking around, sitting in their office, etc.. it took about 15 minutes for someone to finally come over to talk to us. I was introduced to their "BMW Genius" and after some introductions he asked what car we were there to see. I told him I had been working with the Internet salesperson on a specific car and gave him the stock number. He takes the stock number and then I see him walking around talking to different people. After about 10 minutes he comes back and says "Oh, that car is in the body shop." I explained that we had an appointment to see the car and that we had drove an hour to do so. He was apologetic and offered to show me some other cars that were similar, so my wife could drive a car similar to what I was looking to buy. We took him up on the offer and looked at a few cars and took one out to drive. Though he wasn't actually a salesperson, just the "Genius" - he wasn't entirely sure on the test drive and didn't know the facts of the car very well. (i.e. he didn't know that the engine in a 535i was a 6 cylinder, though he was the "BMW Genius") Either way, we get back and I ask to talk numbers on the car I was looking at initially, even though it wasn't there. We sit down and they work up some numbers and come down a few hundred dollars off the price of the car, and wouldn't budge on the interest rate that they were inflating by 1% as the "finance guys have to eat too..." After some back and forth, the sales manager comes in and explains that the 535 is an incredible car, and that their price is good and that other dealers offering prices on their website "aren't telling the whole story, etc..." Either way, we left it at that they would follow up with the body shop to find out exactly what was wrong with the car, what the repair charges were going to be, and what they could sell the car for. This was Friday night. It's now Wednesday afternoon and I've STILL yet to hear from anyone at the dealership - no phone call, no email, radio silence. I'm not sure if my wife and I didn't look "the part", didn't look serious, or what - but I'm not sure what else I could have done to let them know I was interested in buying a car from them. Whatever the reason they have repeatedly chose not to follow up, they've lost the sale - I went elsewhere and bought a car in the meantime (and got a car with significantly more options, for a much better deal.) read more

This is for the sales department and overall car buying experience. I recently found the car I wanted at Patrick BMW. As I am in Dallas I had to do this deal from a distance. My salesperson was Keith Svec. To make a long story short Keith assured me that the car was mine and he had secured it. My financing was also approved. At this point it was really whether I was taking a trip up to Chicago to finish the paperwork or if we would do it via FedEx. As a side note, I had secured another BMW in Austin, TX that I released because this car was the one I wanted. Again, the car was assured to be mine and we were well beyond the inquiry phase and into just signing on the dotted line. My credit card was even taken for a deposit. On the following day Keith and I connected and everything was on track. Near close of business Keith calls me to tell me there is 'bad news'. My car had been sold to someone else. While Keith was nice and seemed sincere, it still does not make up for the fact that this car was supposed to be secured. In the end I not only lost the car at Patrick BMW, but the previous car I had secured, plus the financing rate that I was approved for that now is no longer valid at month's end, not to mention the extra credit inquiry. As a consumer I expect more from BMW dealerships, and this leaves a bad taste in my mouth. I feel like a victim since I have no recourse and I am now out two cars and the additional savings from the low financing that terminates at the end of the month. While Keith was for the most part helpful in the process, the end result speaks for itself. It is obvious this dealership and salespeople are not true to their word, and it is a terrible reflection on the BMW brand as a whole. read more

I was recently inspired to replace my car with a high end model. During a break from work I visited this dealership and was surprised to have been ignored from the time I walked through the door, as I checked out various models and as I left the dealership. I spoke to the receptionist as I walked through the door and received no response, I said hello again thinking maybe she did not hear me... this time I got a slight smile. I am not sure why she couldn't respond with a "hello". As I looked at the various BMW models, there was a salesperson in every office with no apparent client. I was never treated or even offered any assistance. Once sales person walked pass me several times at one time I was even in his way...Not only did he not say excuse me, he turned his back to squeeze pass me. I realize that I was the only African American in the dealership. I would hate to think that this type of treatment was racially motivated. Nevertheless, this dealership showed an lack of interest in a willing and able buyer. This experience definitely spoiled my excitement. read more

I like these guys. I have a new M3 and they always do fast work on repairs, often having my car turned around within a few hours. The service staff at Patrick BMW is second to none. Terrible Dealership, Terrible Leadership, Terrible Service! I would never buy a car from this dealership because simply put they are very dishonest and could not care less about you as a customer. My experience was awful, the service was non existent and they lack integrity and professionalism. The fact the I have to give them even 1 star bothers me. Now, I have also noticed that whoever reads these reviews only comments on positive ones rather then focusing on the concerns of its clientele. I challenge Patrick BMW or whoever reads this to perhaps listen to the concerns of your customers instead of just ignoring them. However, based on experience you like ignoring customers! Needless to say Patrick BMW is not worth your time, effort, or business people and I would look elsewhere and find another more honest and professional dealership. read more

I am very surprised to see so many negative reviews for this dealership. My experience was anything but. After inquiring about a specific car, I was saddened to learn that the car was not available, but was delighted to learn that the numbers worked out to exactly what my husband and I had budgeted for our car. Adam Phillipou helped us by giving us a 3 series to drive while our car was prepared for us. Within a week's time, we had our gorgeous X3 and we have enjoyed it ever since. Adam was incredibly responsive and kept us updated on the status of the car throughout our wait--very polite and nice of him. Finance was a charm. We were in and out in about an hour. I have bought prior BMWs from other dealerships and found them a little too pretentious. However, this dealership feels very different. People seem a little more down to earth here. I would definitely recommend this dealership if you want to escape some of the stuffiness that comes with BMW dealerships. read more

I hope I could give them zero star but it was not an option. Then 1 start it is. First of all, when I bought my BMW from this dealership, I was told that my car had Xeon headlights and some other options. The features were even printed on the sheet that was attached to the window. Of course I bought it. It turned out that none of the additional options were there. I paid a premium for options that never existed. I will never go back to this dealership. A friend of mine bought his BMW from a different dealer. Same model, year, mileage and features. He paid $4,000 less. I was so pissed when I found out about it. So stay away. Second of all, if you do want to service your car there, please do your homework. Don't just take whatever their service rep tell you. Most of time, your car is just fine without a lot of the repair work they recommend. If you're in for an oil change, stick to the plan. You don't need an oil change plus 4-wheel alignment. Just a piece of advice. read more

Interested in a new BMW. Their web site had many models on sale at substantial discounts. I emailed and received a reply. From that point on this business made Enron look angelic. I was always polite and all I wanted to know was the lease payment on a car I wanted. No trade, pretty straight deal. At that point the answer was always the same, "I am talking to my manager". Ten days later it became evident that this dealership had no intention of selling me a car on sale. It was always "you don't want THAT model". Classic bait and switch. Trust the bad reviews and stay away from these guys you will not find the sale cars and they will try to jack you on a high interest rate loan even if you have great credit. Illinois Attorney General, are you listening? BMW corporate, do you care that this business gives you a bad name? I moved on and bought an Audi. read more

I bought a Used car from here and the service is very poor. I think they need a lot of improvements on the sales team and service post purchase. When you have a problem or question they are very slow, not knowledgeable and very rude. If you need to buy a Used luxury car. I would suggest go to a different BMW Dealership if you are looking for a BMW or any other dealership that is better known for its service. The service is poor here and they are not helpful neither are they knowledgeable as they should be for a luxury car dealer staff. read more

The employee who was working on my car left the oil filter seal loose. Oil was dripping all over my engine. I came the next day customer service was poor. Employee have an attitude. The guy infront of me came back because they forgot his chrome tire caps & had to wait a week to get new ones. BMW has never been the same ever since. Last month I took delivery of the 3rd BMW I have leased and/or purchased from Patrick BMW. I will admit that I shopped around this time just to satisfy my curiousity about Lexus and Mercedes. Lexus treated me horrible! I was quoted one price for a car, only to have the Sales Manager quote me a much HIGHER price when I asked if they could do any better. Ummmm . . . That's not how it works, fellas! Mercedes was a bit better, but instead of working with me on the price and terms, the salesman tried to push me toward last years model, which he had just criticized 5 minutes prior. No thank you! Needless to say, I was on the phone with Chris Lima of Patrick BMW before I got out of their parking lot!! Chris and Kam not only found me the perfect car, they actually took the time to find out what I WANTED - they found me the car I WANTED. Starting with the misleading information about the lease and interest rates, to the horrible customer service, our entire experience at Patrick BMW was ridiculously bad. We should have know better - here is why: Being new to Illinois, we asked about interest rates and taxes, and were misled into a lease, which actually costs more than it would have to finance the car through the bank. When we tried to discuss other options, we were flatly told, "You can't." The car - which had 7000 miles on it ("used" by any other name) - was sold as "new" because it had never been titled. This "new" car showed a good deal of use, starting with a mangled wheel, and a cracked/broken rear light, which we had to discover for ourselves, as opposed to the dealership doing the necessary due diligence. When we brought the car in to have the windows tinted and to get the damage fixed, we were told they would call us when the car was ready. This was not to be. Rather, we had to call to find out when the car would be ready, and then we were never given confirmation that the car was actually ready. Upon deciding to pick up the car the next day (still not know if the car was ready or not), the Customer Service personnel told us that we had not received a call because they were, "really busy." When we picked up the car, it was not washed or vacuumed as we had been told it would be. In fact, it was dirtier. And the people who had been working in our car left one of their tools in the backseat. To say that this was a bad experience would be downplaying it. The only saving grace of this experience is the fact that I can use ANY dealership in the U.S. for the maintenance of the car, which is one benefit I intend to use in order to avoid the insult that Patrick BMW calls "Customer Service." read more

We have taken our car here a few times for service and was less than impressed. We made an appointment for a recall and dropped the car off. We were given an X1 as a loaner. Before leaving we were told we would charged for fuel, this is a first for me, but whatever. Drove the car home and back less than 20 total miles and was charged $10 for gas. Car gets 23mpg city. My Experience at Patrick BMW started with a quick inquiry for 2020 X3 M40i. I got a response within few minutes from Veronica from the Internet line with an attractive price deal. The next day when visited the dealership, I met with Sal who was very courteous, informative about the process and the car. The due diligence was seamless and we moved forward towards closing the deal. Within few hours, we were ready to close the deal with the finance manager. The only issue I had was with the finance manager who was super pushy and argumentative with the extended warranty matter. He kept on counter-arguing with me about purchasing this extended service. This was the one and only situation that made me feel very uncomfortable. At the end of the day, a consumer has the right to decide what they want to purchase and what not to. Such decision shall be respected and accepted despite the fact that it may not make more money for the dealership. Despite this experience with the finance manager, I was happy my car selection and with Sal who managed the deal efficiently and showed a great care. Thank you! read more

My name is Joe, I feel compelled to write this letter, as I'm concerned with the service and maintenance on my 2003 BMW X5 for some years. I took my vehicle to your service PATRICK BMW facility in the winter of 2009 and there were several reasons given for the malfunction of my car. The following year, winter of 2010, the same problem occurred and again there were several explanations given, but I paid for part of the repair. Now it is the winter of 2011, and I had the same problem. I like my car and I'm trying to keep it in good running condition (only 86.000 miles), especially in today's economy. The service manager does not seem to agree with my claims, which is causing me frustration every year. I understand that some of these repairs are covered under warranty, but I have paid for some of the repairs in 2009 & 2010. I don't know if this problem will continue to happen every year so this is a very stressful situation. The main explanation I've received is that there is moisture in the engine and the cause of that is because I only travel short distances in this vehicle. Therefore, their solution is that I need to travel longer distances. This is not a solution for me. I have no need to travel long distances so a different solution needs to be given. POOR SERVICE...!!! read more

The ONLY reason I gave one star was because my sales man was courteous and professional , Teri Shoemaker. Thank YOU. DO NOT! I REPEAT, DO NOT PURCHASE AN EXTENDED WARRANTY FROM THIS DEALERSHIP!!!! I purchased a 2006 Rang Rover Land Rover from this dealership on 1/23/14 and attempted to purchase an extended warranty 1/12000 for $3971.00... YES! you read that right , $3971.00. Needless to say I never received any docs from the warranty (Easy Care) , I called them in April 2014, to follow up and was told I had no warranty. Easy Care stated they never received any docs from the dealership and to follow up with their finance dept (Jori Renc) she is soooo NOT professional to say the very least. After numerous phone calls back and forth nothing was done until I drove over 40 miles back to the dealership and spoke with Jori's supervisor and then the Genreal Sales mgr., Tim Gadmoski, & the Pre-Owned sales Mgr. Chris Lima. After all that the General Mgr ,Tim attempted to put the blame on the Warranty Company even after Chris admitted that the ball had been dropped not to mention that he was not surprised Jori had dropped the ball, this was within her character. Needless to say Patrick BMW did eat the cost of the repair my vehicle required although I later researched that the problem had been a manufacturer recall anyway.... Today I realized I still had not received my I.D cards from Easy Care and was told that I STILL have no active warranty!!! I couldn't believe it. SIX MONTHS into a one year warranty that cost almost $4k and not to mention the vehicle was paid for out right and I have NO WARRANTY..... Easy Care stated that since the ball was dropped initially the Dealership was required to submit additional paper work and they had AGAIN FAILED to do so. The Finance Dept and Business Manager Jori Renc are very unprofessional and obviously DO NOT take their titles seriously. I am a HARD WORKING mother and my money is not easily acquired. ANY dealership that is this careless with document submission, customer complaints, and follow up DOES NOT VALUE THEIR CUSTOMER BASE and are only concerned with their own bottom line, which by the way is dependent on their customer base. I will NEVER go back to this dealership and I pray they have since gotten rid of the most unprofessional Business Manager I have EVER conducted business with Jori Renc. read more

I bought a couple of BMW's from Patrick in the past and "assumed" I was being treated fairly. I am an experienced buyer as I usually upgrade in 3-4 years. The last BMW I purchased the extended service warranty. Upon trading in the vehicle I realized that I had not received copies of all the pages of the warranty agreement specifically what was left out was the fact that upon trading in the vehicle I would not receive any PRORATED REFUND, had I known this I would not have purchased the extended service plan. Most auto companies offer a prorated refund for early termination but BMW does not , this was stated on the pages that were not given to me. I would still buy a BMW but Patrick has lost my business for good. read more

I normally don't write auto repair reviews, but I had to warn people about my bad experience at Patrick BMW. First, let me say that I purchased my last 2 BMWs from Patrick BMW which I mentioned to the repair rep when I was sitting in his office. Every repair item I asked him to look at was a minimum of $100. To replace a passenger side parking light was over 100. Just to fix the cover plate in the passenger cup holder was quoted at $800! A pot hole caused my passenger air bag warning light to turn on, and that was quoted between $800 to $1200, and he would not even look at it for over $100 to diagnose. There were other items, and each was an outrageous amount. BTW, i had an appointment with a loaner, so since I drive all the way to Schaumburg from Chicago, I decided I would get an oil change while I was there. The wait time would be 2 hours, but I was refused the loaner. I departed disappointed, not valued, and changed my mind about getting my next BMW from Patrick BMW. I feel mistreated and saddened that good customer service no longer exists here. read more

Took my car to Patrick BMW to get some small issue fixed with the door latch. Matt P took care of me, gave me an estimated ETA and arranged for a ride home since it would take about 2-3 hours. It was too cold for a car wash, so I could not get that done.
