By that Monday I received a call for a spot that opened up the same day and pricing was explained by phone. The office was easy to find with lots of parking available. The decor is clean and minimal. The staff were very pleasant and welcoming. The wait was very short and the assistants walked me through the X-ray process in the most pleasant way. As for Dr. David, he was so professional and conscientious. He explained my issue and showed me the x-rays on the large tv screen. He also explained his process step by step which made me very comfortable. He was also walking me through things while he was working on my tooth then he showed me before/after X-rays. This process was as close to pain free as one could get for a root canal. I was even allowed to control the suction device the entire time! And my prescription was sent to my pharmacy and made available before I even made it home. What more can you ask for except better dental insurance! I wish this level of care existed at all businesses.

I had been going to this dentistry for the entirety of my teenage and adult years, moved out of state two years ago but hadn't decided on a new dentist yet so when visiting family almost a year ago, early spring time 2025 I booked back to back days, one for cleaning + X-rays the next for any cavities that may need to be handled. I came in first day for cleaning got that all done. Found cavities okay cool come in the next day to get them filled. Nope they tell me that day was booked for me for a second cleaning or something? Tell me to come back in a week or two which is obviously not easily possible as I live a 5 hour plane flight away now. I book a trip for a few months later in June and booked for all 3 cavities to be done with them. I come in and this time I'm seen by the woman doctor, can't remember her name. Too annoyed to look it up now. She tells me she doesn't have time for all three which is kinda insane because I booked for this you know months ago. She tells me she'll do 2 and I can come back in a few days for the other one. I tell her no girlboss I'm getting on a plane tomorrow morning and you guys were supposed to do this months ago. She begins the cavities, drills down, literally leaves the room for 30-45+ mins and I'm just there with my mouth open for a long time. She seems extremely distracted and rushed. She "finishes" the cavities and I'm sent out. Essentially because she was rushing so much she did not properly scoop out the entire cavity and covered it so it continued to rot and infect downwards to my nerves. My mouth hurts so much. It doesn't stop hurting. I call two weeks later asking why one specific tooth hurts so bad and they just tell me my gums are irritated and I'll be fine. I've broken bones, had surgeries, dealt with pain before but this was different. This was debilitating to the point of not being able to move or speak. Soon after I go on vacation to some islands. Snorkeling, going on planes frequently, my tooth is in insane pain I can't even open my mouth to breathe the air hurts my tooth. Imagine spending thousands for a nice vacation and not even being able to eat ice cream and waking up every single day in terrible pain. I return home and immediately see a dentist in the town I now live in and they do X-rays, tell me I need a root canal. This is in August 2025 at this point. I get it done, flash forward to late February 2026 and I still cannot eat on the right side of my mouth. The tooth will not calm down and I'm told there's likely small fractures in the tooth that can't be picked up on X-ray and I have to go to a specialist and probably need it removed and an implant now. So if you truly care about your health and want your teeth to stay in your skull and not wastes thousands of dollars, GO SOMEWHERE ELSE.

First off, my intake paperwork asked me what I was looking for / what was most important to me in a dentist. Then it asked if there was any accommodation I might need to feel more comfortable. Then it asked my anxiety level on a scale of 1-10. No one has ever asked me this before. On the day of my visit, having given this much thought, I decided to let my freak flag fly and asked my hygienist if I could just keep the xray apron on for my whole cleaning. If she batted an eyelash, I didn't notice, and me and my weighted blanket snuggled in for an excellent polish. Well, it turns out I had a cavity. Made an appointment to go back to have it filled. Considered asking for an Rx for a single valium, but decided against it. I was brought into a room that seemed to date to a revolutionary war time period visually, but with modern technology. THE CHAIR MASSAGED ME. Dr. Kim explained what he was going to do, showing me my xray once more, numbed me up, removed my old filling and fixed up my cavity in like, 6 minutes. I don't know if it was the ambiance of the room, the chair massage, Dr. Kim's evident competence, or the acoustic Bruno Mars song playing, but I did not feel I had been locked out of heaven. To the contrary, this was an excellent experience. If you are afraid of the dentist, this is the place for you.

Contacted Cedar Grove Dental Group at 9:00 am and left several messages regarding the problem and the pain. Cedar Grove phoned at 9:30 telling me that an associate would be calling. As of 5-days, cedar Grove Dental Group never called back, never bother to reach out to help with this emergency. Found a Dentist in Verona that ook me in right away (even though her practice was not taking new patients) and she sent me to Reiverside Dental Surgery where the tooth was removed. I would never ever use this dental staff, would not trust them to be availab in an emergency (even though they claim to be an ememergency denist) and if this is how they treat people in pain then their web page is committing fraud

From walking in and being greeted by Christine, the atmosphere was already very positive. She was sweet, informative, and very polite. Dr Sandler is nothing short of amazing. He's very patient, listens to your concerns, answers all your questions, and is very thorough. He's humorous and makes what can be an extremely unpleasant experience very pleasant. He's very tech-forward, so be prepared to see some cool tools you've probably never seen before. Definitely glad I came across his office and will surely be referring others here to see him. What really ruined me on this place was that I requested my fillings be done with silver amalgam as is my preference. They only do composite resin here, which is fine. They can operate in any way they please. However the receptionist then gave me a long lecture on how composite resin will poison me with heavy mental toxicity and is extremely dangerous. That's just misinformation (as per the AMA: http://www.ada.org/en/about-the-ada/ada-positions-policies-and-statements/statement-on-dental-amalgam). I cannot abide any medical organization spreading misinformation!! It makes me wonder what the motive is....considering composite resin is more expensive. Once I told the reception I would please take my business elsewhere they have continued to call me regularly to set up future appointments. My advice is to avoid.
