UPDATE: Catherine Pyo begged me to leave a positive review on 3/4/24 before the onset of issues…read moredirectly related to her changing my gumline during surgery. However I now need to correct the record to share the true nature of my experience, so that anyone reading this is fully informed before stepping foot in this office. ADDITIONALLY AS CONSUMERS WERE GOING TO HAVE TO HAVE THE REVIEW RE-ESTABLISHED TO INCLUDE ZERO! RUN DON"T WALK IN THE OTHER DIRECTION!!!! AS OPPOSED TO RECEIVING SHOTTY WORK AND BEHAVIOR! THIS IS A GREEDY! QUACK THAT WILL HIDE HER HANDS, NOT IF. BUT WHEN SHE MESSES UP! HOWEVER WILL DISCUSS WITH HER ASSISTANT HOW SHE ALSO HAD A DIFFERENT PATIENT WITH THE SAME ISSUE DURING AN ATTEMPT TO FIX IT,,,TAKE YOUR HARD EARNED MONEY TO A PLACE THAT WILL BE SURE THAT YOUR CONCERNS ARE MET WITH EMPATHY AT THE ONSET OF YOUR VISIBLE ISSUES RELATED DIRECTLY TO TREATMENT RECEIVED.. ALSO WHAT IS CUBIC ZIRCONIA WRAPPED IN PORCELAIN!! TEETH CHEAP MATERIALS!! THESE TEETH HAVE CHIPPED 3 TIMES ONCE WITHOUT REASON, ONCE FROM EATIN A PISTACHIO THE LAST BECAUSE THE BRIDGE WASN'T SEATED CORRECTLY AND CATHERINE ACCUSED ME! OF GRIDING.. IF SHE PURCHASED QUALITY PRODUCTS THIS WOULD NOT EXSIST Welp I'm going to have to take back everything i said in a previous review about this establishment.. Catherine Pyo Is a QUACK!!!!! "save up your money and go to a more expensive place" is what i was advised to do! albeit after the fact! and after she was unable to deliver the implant bridge on attempt # 3 so take her advise and your hard earned money and go to a place that your pain and swelling and post operative treatment will be taken seriously. She had the nerve to sit over me talking about another patient that was loosing pigment in her gums too as a result of Catherine Pyo negligence, and had the nerve to hand me a $1k bill when she has not completed the work. She is also unethical, as she asked to discount that balance in an effort not to correct/remove faulty implants. This establishment is sub-par at best 1, Accountability - 3 attempts to install 1 implant ( she is the one looking at your mouth when taking a bite how do you F$@% it up 3 times 2, Unprofessionalism - caused my face to swell to the point i didn't recognize myself and had the nerve to say it is what it is 3, Uninformative - I advise that you receive all of the information relative to material etc prior to receiving 3, Dismissiveness - being told that she has spent to much time and dismissed from service because - s(he cant fix it) 4, cheap implants - the teeth will start chipping away without reason - she will tell you its because you grind your teeth CATHERINE PYO YOU WILL REAP WHAT YOU SOW!!!

Not a fan of going to dentists in general. You know how it is!…read more But I had a great experience at West Orange Easy Dental. Catherine and Stacy are a wonderful team. Super professional, empathetic, communicative, clear, and very pleasant. Going in, Stacy gave me a good heads-up on what to prep and expect. And for the procedures themselves (scaling, cavities & fillings), Catherine was great at laying out the process, and even how to let her know how I'm doing en route so she can adjust accordingly. The whole thing was very laid back, pleasant, and I'd recommend them to friends, family and strangers.

The office is clean, organized, and runs so smoothly--you can tell they really value their patients' time. My care was thorough, gentle, and incredibly informative. The dentist took the time to explain everything in a way I could understand, showed me my X-rays, and walked me through each step of my visit. I've never felt more confident or educated about my dental health. The hygienist was amazing as well--very detailed, patient, and made the experience relaxing. Everyone here is warm, professional, and truly passionate about what they do. I left feeling like my smile was in the best hands possible. I highly recommend Valley Arts Dental to anyone looking for quality care, honesty, and an exceptional office experience!

However, there is always an issue with Valley Arts and I'm just sick of it at this point. They've recommended unnecessary procedures, disorganized billing that left me with an unexpected balance, and cancelled appointments that could not be rescheduled for months. And now the've cancelled my appointment because I was unable to confirm. I couldn't confirm because I have been busy at work. And they indicated in a reminder text that a no show would result in a fee. So why cancel the appointment? They are financially oriented and they don't care about patients. The lady at the front desk is NEVER nice. She has been seeing me for years and today she didn't even greet me when I arrived- Just looked at me. When I gave my kid's name she didn't acknowledge that the appointment was cancelled until the other lady at the front desk asked for more patient info. She always smiles while being shady. I need to be associated with a practice that cares about the patient and their families. Not one that doesn't know their decades long patients or how to treat them

Dr. Navi himself is very knowledgeable and calm, he immediately gives you a sense of relaxation and feeling that you are in good hands - I had 2 visits including one large chipped tooth and filling that was an hour long procedure which went smoothly, and I am still happy with it 6 months in. My husband had seen Dr. Navi for more complicated scenarios and was very pleased with the service and honesty in communication. The insurance companies and billing can be complicated for various procedures and they take time to ensure all communication is clear so you know what you are paying for. Also recently had a session with Sharlene (hygienist) and I can't believe how light her hands are!

When i turned up for my appointment Tammi demanded payment and Dr Navi came out of his office stating i would have to pay. He gave me a zoom post care kit in lieu of the treatment. The kit was actually open and missing the mouth tray and chemical used. What a scam. This is on top of poor dental work they dis on my wife which cost thousands of dollars. She had to go to another dentist to correct. Dr. Navi is a friendly guy and i really wanted it to work out but realized they will say anything to get Your money. Poor service.

If you truly care about your teeth and don't want them to have to get pulled and drop 10 grand do…read moreNOT come here. I had been going to this dentistry for the entirety of my teenage and adult years, moved out of state two years ago but hadn't decided on a new dentist yet so when visiting family almost a year ago, early spring time 2025 I booked back to back days, one for cleaning + X-rays the next for any cavities that may need to be handled. I came in first day for cleaning got that all done. Found cavities okay cool come in the next day to get them filled. Nope they tell me that day was booked for me for a second cleaning or something? Tell me to come back in a week or two which is obviously not easily possible as I live a 5 hour plane flight away now. I book a trip for a few months later in June and booked for all 3 cavities to be done with them. I come in and this time I'm seen by the woman doctor, can't remember her name. Too annoyed to look it up now. She tells me she doesn't have time for all three which is kinda insane because I booked for this you know months ago. She tells me she'll do 2 and I can come back in a few days for the other one. I tell her no girlboss I'm getting on a plane tomorrow morning and you guys were supposed to do this months ago. She begins the cavities, drills down, literally leaves the room for 30-45+ mins and I'm just there with my mouth open for a long time. She seems extremely distracted and rushed. She "finishes" the cavities and I'm sent out. Essentially because she was rushing so much she did not properly scoop out the entire cavity and covered it so it continued to rot and infect downwards to my nerves. My mouth hurts so much. It doesn't stop hurting. I call two weeks later asking why one specific tooth hurts so bad and they just tell me my gums are irritated and I'll be fine. I've broken bones, had surgeries, dealt with pain before but this was different. This was debilitating to the point of not being able to move or speak. Soon after I go on vacation to some islands. Snorkeling, going on planes frequently, my tooth is in insane pain I can't even open my mouth to breathe the air hurts my tooth. Imagine spending thousands for a nice vacation and not even being able to eat ice cream and waking up every single day in terrible pain. I return home and immediately see a dentist in the town I now live in and they do X-rays, tell me I need a root canal. This is in August 2025 at this point. I get it done, flash forward to late February 2026 and I still cannot eat on the right side of my mouth. The tooth will not calm down and I'm told there's likely small fractures in the tooth that can't be picked up on X-ray and I have to go to a specialist and probably need it removed and an implant now. So if you truly care about your health and want your teeth to stay in your skull and not wastes thousands of dollars, GO SOMEWHERE ELSE.

I had a whole childhood of traumatic dentist experiences that caused some serious adult rebellion…read moreof me sticking it to the man by just not going to the dentist for a decade in my 20s. I eventually paid the piper for that one, and since that time, I've realized that the key to me not avoiding the dentist and taking care of my teeth the way I know I should is finding a person that intuitively adheres to trauma-informed principles of care: respects/believes patients, explains what they're going to do and when, communicates safety clearly, etc. I had a great dentist in NYC and then COVID happened and then we moved to NJ and yeah, I've been delaying finding a new dentist for, um, mumblesfouryearscough. I knew it was time to establish care here and I knew a whole boatload of 5 star Yelp reviews wouldn't lie. First off, my intake paperwork asked me what I was looking for / what was most important to me in a dentist. Then it asked if there was any accommodation I might need to feel more comfortable. Then it asked my anxiety level on a scale of 1-10. No one has ever asked me this before. On the day of my visit, having given this much thought, I decided to let my freak flag fly and asked my hygienist if I could just keep the xray apron on for my whole cleaning. If she batted an eyelash, I didn't notice, and me and my weighted blanket snuggled in for an excellent polish. Well, it turns out I had a cavity. Made an appointment to go back to have it filled. Considered asking for an Rx for a single valium, but decided against it. I was brought into a room that seemed to date to a revolutionary war time period visually, but with modern technology. THE CHAIR MASSAGED ME. Dr. Kim explained what he was going to do, showing me my xray once more, numbed me up, removed my old filling and fixed up my cavity in like, 6 minutes. I don't know if it was the ambiance of the room, the chair massage, Dr. Kim's evident competence, or the acoustic Bruno Mars song playing, but I did not feel I had been locked out of heaven. To the contrary, this was an excellent experience. If you are afraid of the dentist, this is the place for you.
