Unfortunately I had to have a root canal redone on a tooth previously performed by this dr. While my pain subsided initially, I had terrible pain months later. He would not revisit this tooth because "it's dead" and said it was the tooth in front cause the pain, which was not accurate. A second opinion confirmed it was the root canal tooth. There was root still remaining, an ill fitting crown causing poor bite, and too large post caused terrible pain. An endo and new dentist took months to be able to save my tooth from extraction and manage my pain. I normally don't share feedback but felt I needed to be honest here as the work performed was not quality, rushed and often felt my concerns were not taken seriously. On top of that, having to pay again OOP for a $1000+ procedure months later. read more

I had the best experience with Dr. Sorvino. Prior to my root canal I was a bit nervous, as many friends and family warned me about how painful it would be. To my surprise, this was hardly the case. Not too sure how there are so many rave reviews, I couldn't even get the dentist to keep my appointment- twice- for a new patient. Once I was asked to reschedule because I was the last appointment for the night and the person before me cancelled and the doctor didn't want to wait around for me. I gladly rescheduled, although I found it a bit rude. Weeks later, the day before my second schedule appointment (and with a tooth that was bothering me) I was then asked to reschedule again because the doctor didn't realize that day was his sons birthday. I told Smileologie (over text btw, the only form of communication they had with me) that I would NOT be scheduling with them again. No response, no apologies. That was it. I had a wonderful experience at Smileologie! Dr. Sorvino is great. I don't get all nervous nelly at the dentist, but even still, it's not a picnic. However Dr. Sorvino was so personable and friendly that I felt relaxed and comfortable and really didn't mind the visit at all! The office is really cool too! Not your typical dentist office. It is clean, high tech and has a spa-like atmosphere. Aromatherapy, relaxing spa music, chair massager... If that all sounds alright while getting your dental work done, go here! This was hands down the best experience that I've had when going to the dentist. I cannot wait to see my dentist again!!! Who says that? Everything is chic, modern, new, inviting. I absolutely love the color scheme- so zen! I scheduled my appointment online (always convenient) and was able to submit my paperwork online. I was brought to back to the room by the dentist who sat and asked me about my medical history and reviewed everything thoroughly with me. Dr. S then started cleaning my teeth. That's right! A dentist was cleaning my teeth and not a dental hygienist!!! Where else can you go to the dentist and spend more than 5 minutes with your doctor? Well here apparently that is the norm. From beginning to end, I had full confidence in my dentist knowing any and all of my concerns with my dental health. My take home present: free whitening for life! This is not a scam. Dr. S made molds for my teeth and explained the process entirely. I was sent home with my molds and the whitening supplies. Overall fantastic service and an amazing experience. I went to this dentist awhile ago and can agree with the other woman who posted the one star review: I don't get all the rave reviews either. They drew me in with the sign for "free" lifetime whitening. I made the appointment, showed up and everything went downhill from there. They had an "emergency" in the next room and I kept being told it threw off the balance for the entire practice. I found everything to be incredibly disorganized. They were also training a hygiene student who kept jamming the x-ray film in my mouth, hurting me and then acting all pissed off that I couldn't close my mouth. I never have any issues with x-rays, so I chalk that one up to operator error. The dentist cleaned my teeth with this drill thing that had water running all over my face. Never had that before either. As I was ready to leave I asked about the free whitening and was told its essentially a Crest whitening tray. He added I could come back for to be fitted for it after he gets paid by my insurance! I questioned why I could not get it now as I was led to believe I could and he again said he needed to be paid. The assistant (who was very nice) could tell I was put off and commented how comments from him like that are the reason she talks to the patients and not him. The weirdest part about this entire experience was on my way home the dentist started texting me saying he was sorry if I was put off by the experience. I found that to be very odd. I initially scheduled a follow up and later canceled it after telling a couple people what took place and all saying it sounded like a bad experience. I still feel kind of creeped out when I pass by the office daily. The worst part about all this is I started going to a new dentist and they requested my xrays from this practice. They sent over xrays that were the entirely wrong date from when I was there. The new practice called again and this place insisted they were mine. The new dentist could not read them due to the computer program not being compatible, so when I went for my next 6 month checkup, they asked this place for my xrays again. They came through again with the wrong date. The new dentist took one look at them and verified that the xrays they claimed were mine WERE NOT MY MOUTH! Thankfully my insurance allowed for new xrays at this point, so I had the new practice take their own. So yeah, I agree with the other one star review and can completely see what that lady described happening! read more

Smilology by far is the best dental experience I have ever had. The waiting area is set up like a cafe with cool music, free wifi and great tea and coffee! In the back there is a massage chair so you are relaxed during your treatment. My entire family felt no pain at all during their cleaning and procedures. What a wonderful place.. my husband, daughter an myself all had appts here on Saturday, it was a pleasant experience. They were amazing with my 4.5 year old, made her feel comfortable and played the Frozen soundtrack for her while they cleaned her teeth!! And for me, after not being to the dentist for a while I was extremely nervous, but Jen and Dr. Sorvino put me at ease. Overall it's one of the best dental experiences I've ever had. I've had bad experiences with dentists when I was a kid, but Smileologie is now my favorite dentist. I have a dental plan through them, which helps so much when I have cavity fillings and wisdom tooth extractions coming up. They are super affordable through the plan and so welcoming. This is my first such post. I hated dentists all my life until I went to visit Smileologie. Dr. Sorvino was very straight forward and explained each step to me in a way that I could understand. I went approximately 10 times until I was finished and every visit was the same - professional, caring and informative. I never felt like I was just a patient. I just moved into town and this place caught my eye because of the free teeth whitening program. I've always wanted to get that done so I have it a shot. Dr. Sorvino was such a pleasant surprise. I've gone to many dentists in the past and I honestly could not tell you anything about them because they were all boring and not personable at all. He really gets to know his patients and their concerns regarding their dental health and makes sure he addresses any issues before the actual appt even begins.
