I have been a patient at Dr. Martino's practice for over 26 years- I was originally a patient of Dr. Jay Schuster who originally started the practice at that location years earlier and met Dr. Martino when he arrived. I have had a chance to write a Google review for years, but I just have never been able to find the time to put all my thoughts into it. Now with summer vacation here- I can. I can say with complete confidence that this is the best dental care my family, friends, and I have ever received. Dr. Martino's practice blends genuine warmth with an array of state‑of‑the‑art technology--from amazing digital imaging--so every diagnosis and dental treatment feels faster, more accurate, and far less stressful than what my friends & family have experienced at other dental offices. What sets them apart is how responsive they are. Whenever I or any member of my family needs an urgent appointment and calls or texts the office, Melissa or Naica always find a way to fit us in with either Dr. Martino or Dr. Sceppaguercio quickly and compassionately. The staff are consistently friendly and professional; they remember names, explain all options clearly, listen closely to all of your concerns, let me talk to them incessantly, and make even the most anxious patients feel at ease. Dr. Martino deserves a Nobel Prize in 'Understanding Whatever Noise I Make While My Mouth Is Wide Open.' I'm basically speaking some sort of dolphin dialect and this guy still gets it He's basically part dentist/part wizard. Lynn my regular dental hygienist (who is ALWAYS AMAZING) is consistently upbeat and can translate my 'mmphh‑grrrl‑aaah' like she's got subtitles running in her head. Cheryl the dental assistant has been so wonderful recently as she is friendly and takes her time with me- every time. She also speaks fluent 'mouth full of tools, fingers and existential dread' I'm over here sounding like a malfunctioning robotic swamp monster and she's nodding like I just delivered a TED Talk. My family can't even understand me when I'm NOT at the dentist. Same with Dr. S.- I'm in the chair making noises like a rubber chicken being launched out of a cannon, and Dr. S replies, "Yes, that's a great question about ways to alleviate TMJ jaw pain- let me show you afterwards". The office itself is comfortable and convenient. There's good parking, a pleasant waiting area, and thoughtful touches throughout--like complimentary bottled water--that make visits more pleasant. Every aspect of the practice, from the welcoming front desk to the modern and recently updated treatment rooms, reflects a commitment to their patient comfort and exemplary care. Friends that I have referred here have thanked me as they feel they have finally found a dental team that they are comfortable with and provide amazing care. If you want dentists who combine modern dental technology with genuine, consistent, long‑term patient care, Dr. Martino & Dr. Sceppaguercio and their staff are outstanding. I have been patient for many years. It was just Dr. Martino back then. I finally talked my husband into going. Being afraid of the dentist his teeth were in serious need of treatment . The dentist and his wonderful staff but him at ease. The care and thoughtfulness has only grown over the years. From front desk to hygienists and the addition of Dr. Sceppaguercio has only made our trips to the dentist better. By the way we moved 2 years ago and travel an hour for visits. "We are brand new patients to the office. My daughter was having really bad pain one of her molars. I called Dr Martinos office and they were able to get her in that same day Even Though We Are Brand New Patients. My daughter has Autism and can easily sniff out disingenuous people. She loved Dr Martino (and so did we)! He got her out of pain with the right recommendations to repair the tooth. She's now happy and so are we! Front desk staff is equally top notch. It had been over a decade since I had last been to the dentist. I was so fearful and afraid of judgement that I was kept from seeking help even longer. I had been referred to Dr. Martino by a friend and am so thankful for that referral every single day. It was such a caring and judgement free zone- and that was made apparent by my very first phone call with the staff. I did not in any way expect for the dentist to be a fun experience, but here I am excitedly awaiting my next appointment. They've got my dental health back on track and have done so with such precision, efficiency, and fun. I unfortunately do not have dental insurance, but they've been able to work with me in an unbelievably thoughtful and kind way. Dr. Martino is the most skillful and most caring dentist I have ever had. He makes an otherwise odious event comfortable. He also surrounds himself with excellent staff who all follow his lead in making sure that your experience -- however complicated it may be -- is flawless and satisfying. And the addition of Dr. Sceppaguercio has only enhanced the excellence of that office. I suffer from claustrophobia and they all go to great lengths to make me feel comfortable and secure. Dr. Martino is a superlative dentist and has made all the right decisions over the many years I've been his patient. His skills are attested to by my great set of choppers at age 89. I posted a review back in 2017 and to date I still stand by my last review. Since then I have had a total overhaul on my oral health. We replaced the entire top and did fillings on the entire bottom. Where to begin..... It took about 6 months to get all this done, starting with my oral surgeon then having Dr. Martino do the rest which was about 90%. I have been going to him for an exceptionally long time, my dental needs were abundant. It was a long road and a long time coming. Dr. Martino has a patience level that I have never seen in any type of doctor, he does not judge you for any reason at all. I wanted to get everything done that I needed done but due to finances and insurance it was difficult. Though he never turned his back on me. Always there with open arms to do what needed to be done. I was never made to feel anything less then his more important patient which is how he makes all his patients feel. I know this because of conversations I would overhear in the office. This man has the patience and calmness of a Saint! There were some patients where I know I dont know if I could of kept it together. He is a true professional to his core and very passionate with his work. The last time I had a visit which was about 1 month ago, I had about 4 fillings left to do on the bottom, these were bad cavities. So he numbed the left bottom side then proceeded to drill out my mouth. I had had a long day, I commute to and from the city so its a long day for me. While he was drilling away I nodded off a little bit a few times. Who can say that?? Who can say to you that they near fell asleep at the dentist while your mouth is getting drilled out? I dont care how tired you are, thats HUGE! If that statement alone doesnt tell you how GOOD Dr. Martino is then I dont know what else to say. An excellent dentist will never have you in pain. You have the intial sting with the novacaine but that should be it and it is with him. I had extensive deep rooted work done with him along with alot of restorative work and I am proud to say that I now have a perfect smile top and bottom all thanks to Dr. Martino. I'm getting a little misty typing this, it was such a long road and he never abandon me no matter what. All the stress I had with not being able to smile, being uncomfortable, being in pain all the time is now a thing of the past. Yes all dentists will help you however, none of them would do all this pain free to you and I can say for fact that it is very few that would have the patience that he has and would still see you with open arms with no judgement. I have my cleaning in October and im excited for it, I know that sounds weird but I am so happy with how beautiful my smile is because of him, I get so many compliments. The staff.... Betty is fantasic, I love her, she's been there a long time. Amy is a doll!!! Just a great practice all the way around. When choosing your dentist, choose Dr. Martino, best decision you could ever make for your oral health.
