Seafood paella for 2 [€46, $48.97, 3.0 stars]
Randy B.

Nautical-themed, seafood, nice service, good food, large, live music -- Patron is a lovely place indeed. It feels very Anyplace, USA. American music in the background doesn't help, and then a 2 piece Blues-Rock band singing all songs in English. Yep. The menu has all the usual seafood items, including a raw bar. My gf and I had the seafood paella for 2 for €46 ($48.97). It was large, for sure, and featured 4 jumbo shrimp, 2 large shrimp (why bother), and 6 mussels. It had a few peas about the rice, but overall -- the jumbo shrimp was too much work for too little meat, was very salty, and meh. I would rate it 3.0 stars. The wine, drinks, and service was all wonderful. It was a very nice experience overall, and one of the best overall places I had on my trip to Barcelona.

Nice place huh? Wonder why it's empty? Because it SUCKS!!

One or two stars? I don't really know how far service standards have fallen, but I'll guess this place isn't setting the bar very high. I actually had to approach the bartender to beg for peanuts! Had to ask FOR MORE WATER???? Anyway, our hotel recommended the place for paella. I've given up trying to like this dish, traveling to and searching for it in Barcelona being a total fail. Instead, I'll find a nice Cajun restaurant in LA and order jambalaya, the same thing but x1000 better. Sorry Spain, but this is why a Spanish restaurant fails in the USA: food is bland and weak (lacking in meat) compared to the competition. Sadly the truth.

We had reservations for 8pm and were seated promptly upon arrival. While the restaurant is big there are different sections and the tables are spaced out, plus it's dimly lit so it has an intimate feel. I came here for my birthday dinner. We ordered the seafood paella which was delicious and it came out faster than I expected. Their "dessert menu" consists of them bringing out a tray of all of their desserts so you can see what each item looks like. Genius. I got the red velvet cake and it was delicious - flavorful, moist, and rich. I'd be hard pressed to find fault with it. Overall a great meal in a very nice setting. I'd definitely recommend a visit.

Absolutely worth the visit, an establishment with delicious food and service to match. The decor, food and service are non par. The daily menu is a steal! Unfortunately, the only negative is that this location doesn't offer a view, but in order to attract patrons and maintain regulars they clearly over perform on their food and service standards. The nautical decor is superb makes up for the location. Fantastic wines and full bar. A must in Barcelona . We were lucky to be brought here by a family member who's been a regular since they opened. Another plus is the valet parking. Cheers! Thoroughly enjoyed the experience!

Tonight, while visiting Barcelona for the week, we had the pleasure of having our hotel recommend this place to us. I'm real real glad they did. From the moment we entered, we had great service. Our waiter made sure we knew all of our options and that there was something for all tastes at the table. When the food came out, our server, Ariana, took control of de boning the fish. She made sure my Paella was as I asked. I couldn't be happier with the food, the place, the band, or the service. If I ever come back to Barcelona, we WILL be back here.

Our hotel suggested to eat here. This was the best suggestion ever from a hotel. Everything was just fabulous, and I mean fabulous. The whole fish was probably the best whole fish I ever ate. The lobster served over rice was amazing as well. The other seafood dishes were all good as well.

Zamburiñas, gambas y xangurro al horno...todo delicioso!!

Once of my fav restaurants in Barcelona...the decoration is amazing (it looks to be in a boat), live jazz and the freshest fish ever. I personally really like the xangurro al horno (oven baked crab). Only a little thing to point out: waiters always try to upsell, so be aware of that, especially if you order fresh fish (once we ended up with a 4kg Seabass and we were just 4 people eating, definitely exaggerated!)

Fun place to take a break…read more Enjoy the scenery and breathe before you continue enjoying all the rest that Barcelona has to offer. This rooftop bar is in the hotel Victor, which also houses a phenomenal restaurant called Mr Porter. I have to say, it's kind of the trifecta. The hotel is nice. Mr Porter's is exquisite! Now back to the Rooftop it's also special and it is unique. The drinks are great. There's a wide selection including specialty drinks. They pour a good stiff drink. No short pours here. The bar has great views, and you can see a Gaudi building right across the street. You can also see Sagrada Família from there. Highly recommended as a short stop and refresher while you're in Barcelona. Enjoy

Our first night in Barcelona we googled rooftop restaurant and found this jewel. Fabulous location…read morein this bustling city. Amazing server, raised in Mexico and worked for Disney in the USA, fabulously hospitable. We wanted a chill place to enjoy a very light dinner, and The Rooftop was perfect. We had non alcoholic ginger beer (Fever Tree label) and hot tea, hummus with beautiful baby carrots, olives, and a salad of diced cucumbers, tomatoes, and a pinch of fresh mint. When it started to rain the servers quickly belied us move to a table under the canopy. Space heaters were nice. We could see one of the Gaudi buildings from our lovely rooftop venue. After dinner we went to the bottom floor, which was full of folks enjoying themselves, playing pool, visiting. Great place.
