After a horrendous…read moreexperience with a local clinic and pharmacy, I was in need of medical care for a very acute UTI/Kidney infection, and in excrutiating pain. My old clinic would not give me a follow up appointment soon enough and while that was bad, I'm grateful because that's what brought me to GetWell. They got me in the minute i called, i was seen by a GREAT doctor, wait time was very short for an urgent care clinic, staff was kinder than kind (Samantha, I'm taking about you ), and they got me the antibiotics i needed and ordered the necessary bloodwork. Lab was nearby and the pharmacy was just across the street. So EASY! they truly made everything super smooth! My experience was so extraordinarily fantastic, that i asked them to adopt me as a patient for good! They scheduled me for a physical within 15 days. I needed to reschedule and i could do it via text message! Isn't that amazing? I don't know how you do it, GetWell! I'm SO GLAD i found you. Thank you, thank you, thank you! May you be blessed as you blessed me when i was in so much pain!

As we approached the building, an employee slammed out of an employee entrance and nearly hit me. I jumped back and she mumbled an irritated apology. Then, we went inside. A bored receptionist told us that they would not be able to see my friend because she would need an x-ray and they don't do that on the weekends. Therefore, she said there were only two options: we could wait until Monday or we to the ER. She had no solutions that involved even helping my friend with the obvious pain she was in. Instead, we went to Golden Valley Health Center and they got her in immediately. She left there in under half an hour with a pain medication prescription, cray paperwork, and a sling. I just did not see the quality of concern or care at Get Well that one expects from healthcare providers.

There are 3 simple patient rooms and a bathroom that is pretty clean. This space needs an upgrade, but that is on the plaza owners. Appointments: Always on time. Waiting is about 10 minutes or less. Being seen is less than 5 minutes, but so thorough, straight to the point and informative. Doc listens and answers all questions. Front desk and assistants are very quick and straight forward with instructions and appointment set ups. I appreciate the efficiency of everything from the whole team. It helps planning my day after the appointment very easy. Doctor: Miyata is very experienced, skilled, professional, talented, caring. He went into the right profession. He gives the best advice for his clients. He makes sure he has an assistant with him at every appointment to keep everyone accountable. He is always on top of his appointments and does his best to give the smallest incision possible for better healing. Surgery experience: From start to finish, it was wonderful. I have done 2 in office and 1 with anesthesia. Doc explains everything in details, every step of what he is doing. During the surgery, you feel no pain. My healing journey was great with very little to no scar. Everyone's healing journey will be different though, depending on your health. Overall: I trust Miyata with all my surgeries.     A Health Hazard Disguised as a Hospital…read more This was my first and only experience with Mercy Hospital under Dignity Health, and I can say without exaggeration that I would prefer to go to an unlicensed facility before returning here. My 75-year-old relative was admitted to the emergency department due to a mental health crisis. What we encountered was appalling: the room was filthy, littered with trash, floors unmopped, no bedding, walls stained, and an overwhelming stench filled the air. This was not an isolated issue--both rooms we were moved through were in similarly unsanitary condition. While the hospital often responds to public reviews citing privacy concerns, I found this ironic. As a licensed psychologist, I was shocked by the complete disregard for HIPAA. Conversations about treatment were held openly, with no effort to preserve the dignity or confidentiality of patients in crisis. I visited two different bathrooms on two different floors, and both reeked of urine. I'm not sure how a hospital could maintain a level of cleanliness worse than a gas station restroom, but somehow this facility managed it. Despite being cities away, I felt I had no choice but to remove my relative from their care. The conditions were simply unpalatable and not conducive to anyone's healing--particularly someone experiencing a mental health episode. *Highlights* (because credit is due): The security staff were very kind and helpful Phone calls were answered promptly Medical staff were personable and kind They showed compassion toward patients with mental health conditions However, compassion alone cannot make up for the deplorable conditions and lack of basic patient privacy. I sincerely hope Dignity Health re-evaluates the standard of care provided at this hospital--especially for vulnerable populations. "If you are ever in a crisis call 911 and ask for a different hospital intake."

Golden Valley Health Center will not know if Pfizer or Moderna available until day of injection for COVID 19. Golden Valley put me on a waiting list and never dispensed vaccination. Lack of communication is why I left Dignity years ago but in other ways Golden Valley has its issues too. Dignity has a supply of Moderna vaccine and was able to provide me first dose. Per Stat News: https://www.statnews.com/2021/02/02/comparing-the-covid-19-vaccines-developed-by-pfizer-moderna-and-johnson-johnson/ Each dose of Pfizer's contains 30 micrograms of vaccine. Moderna went with a much larger dose of vaccine, 100 micrograms. Also Moderna requires 28 days between doses v 21 for Pfizer. Moderna ships at minus 4 degrees fahrenheit v minus 94 for Pfizer.

She was persistent that there wasn't until I had to tell her to check her notes and that's when she addressed only one more thing even though I was physically and visibly sick. I told her about my cough, sneezing, and she said that she can not address that and rushed out the door. My blood pressure was 166/115 and she did not even mention that once and that was another concern that came to fruition because they just took it at the office. I would like to see about getting further assistance with this issue. I do not recommend her. Nursing staff were trying to be helpful after my visit with her.
