This place is absolutely disgusting and filthy. Last time I come!

I was absolutely shocked how dirty this place was, the entire office needs a deep cleaning

Receptionist had no problems with it and didn't ask anyone to put one on. When I asked who the attending was since I'd never been there, she literally had no clue what I was asking. I had to explain what "attending " was. She still had no idea who was even in the office seeing people. She seemed bothered that I asked. I sat there long enough to read the reviews on this place. Struck me as odd how the management keeps calling peoples reviews fake when they share their experiences. So before you try the 'fake review' with me, please review the photos. Never again will I step foot in this place. Even the nurses calling in patients didn't seem to mind. Management needs to retrain staff.

Stitches on his after.

We brought our daughter here a while ago and was very appreciative of how the nurse was gentle…read moretreating her. I was very thankful for their service then, but as of now it is a completely different experience. I think people should only come here for Urgent Care needs. DO NOT come here for a follow up appt. I showed up 15min early for a follow up and when they finally put me in a room, they let me sit there for over an hour. When I asked if they forgot I was there, an assistant replied, "no, she's running a little behind. There's one more patient before you." Maybe there's a reason they call us "patient". Me and the assistant get into an immature door opening/closing contest because I want them to know I'm in there and she doesn't want to be uncomfortable. To put the icing on the cake, she walks by and calls me some name in Spanish. Apparently, this is junior high. Real professional. Apart from the waiting and childish assistant, there was also the issue with inconsistent opinions. My first visit, the injury was deemed "superficial". My second visit, Catherine calls it "soft-tissue" damage. So which is it? Mind you, it's Catherine on both visits. Then, I have to fill out the FMLA paperwork FOR them and then they have the nerve to charge me $30. Catherine doesn't want to take the notes or another 5-10minutes to fill it out even though she's made me wait an hour.... You have to fill it out anyways, so why put it off?? Health services today seem to completely ignore the human element of each encounter. I feel like another animal through the processing plant. No respect for a person's time. No respect or listening ear for a person's life situations. I think Merced has this problem in general. Patients are overbooked and offices are operated like mills. If I make an appointment with my primary care doctor, I'm not seen for another month even in the case/risk of serious infection. I have to come to Urgent care to be seen for follow-ups that still make me wait. What was the argument against single-payer healthcare again??? Oh yea! Waitlists.... well since I'm waiting anyways, might as well be single-payer.

I made an appointment in 2021 to get a cyst looked at. the doctor was immediately very rude to me…read moreand didn't even examine me, never touched me. just sat in her chair and stared at me. she dismissed me and when I went to a follow up doctor elsewhere in 2024 they found the cyst had grown to the size of a golf ball and have had to deal with this as a much bigger issue because the doctor didn't do her job. I've been in so much pain and discomfort and it's been a frustrating experience in all.

There are 3 simple patient rooms and a bathroom that is pretty clean. This space needs an upgrade, but that is on the plaza owners. Appointments: Always on time. Waiting is about 10 minutes or less. Being seen is less than 5 minutes, but so thorough, straight to the point and informative. Doc listens and answers all questions. Front desk and assistants are very quick and straight forward with instructions and appointment set ups. I appreciate the efficiency of everything from the whole team. It helps planning my day after the appointment very easy. Doctor: Miyata is very experienced, skilled, professional, talented, caring. He went into the right profession. He gives the best advice for his clients. He makes sure he has an assistant with him at every appointment to keep everyone accountable. He is always on top of his appointments and does his best to give the smallest incision possible for better healing. Surgery experience: From start to finish, it was wonderful. I have done 2 in office and 1 with anesthesia. Doc explains everything in details, every step of what he is doing. During the surgery, you feel no pain. My healing journey was great with very little to no scar. Everyone's healing journey will be different though, depending on your health. Overall: I trust Miyata with all my surgeries. I went in through the ER and the only bad thing I can say is they are severely understaffed and they don't have enough beds to meet the needs of the area. It also doesn't help that they don't yet have a location for psych patients so they take up over half of the ED. They treat the entire Merced area and surrounding cities. I don't know why the reviews are poor aside from the obvious things this hospital faces. My nurses Shiriel, Krystal and Josue have made my stay that much better. The Chaplain Andrews is very compassionate and has helped keep me focused during my recovery. Their staff really checks on the quality of patient care when you are admitted. My doctor Dr. Nanra is very knowledgeable and personable. He makes himself available to his patients and is sure to check in with you and hear your concerns before continuing his work. I will definitely be returning in the future if I need care. This is an excellent ethical hospital. Not sure yet when I'm getting discharged but I know my medical team will be there to assist every step of the way until I'm better and I'm in good hands. Golden Valley Health Center will not know if Pfizer or Moderna available until day of injection for COVID 19. Golden Valley put me on a waiting list and never dispensed vaccination. Lack of communication is why I left Dignity years ago but in other ways Golden Valley has its issues too. Dignity has a supply of Moderna vaccine and was able to provide me first dose. Per Stat News: https://www.statnews.com/2021/02/02/comparing-the-covid-19-vaccines-developed-by-pfizer-moderna-and-johnson-johnson/ Each dose of Pfizer's contains 30 micrograms of vaccine. Moderna went with a much larger dose of vaccine, 100 micrograms. Also Moderna requires 28 days between doses v 21 for Pfizer. Moderna ships at minus 4 degrees fahrenheit v minus 94 for Pfizer.
