Came here with my daughter's 6th grade class as one of the chaperones. We all had a wonderful time, since the moment we arrived at the camp site and were greeted and welcomed by Fawn, then we were given orientation by Ranger Ryan the coordinator. We were told from the beginning what was expected from us and how busy we were going to be because all of the fun activities we will be doing since early in the morning. All of the kids enjoyed the stay very much, the instructors/naturalists were amazing with the kids and I loved how they explained things to the kids and how they were respectful towards the kids as well. The food was AMAZING!! Our bungalow was very clean also. We loved all of the meals! The food was wonderful. This is a great camp, beautiful place and the staff is so aweso, all of the people we came across were fabulous, helpful and always with a smile on their faces. My daughter did not want to leave the camp. We made beautiful memories there. Thank you all at Pathfinder for doing such a great job.

I loved this place my child and I attended with a school I was so vary impressed with the staff. My children do not interact much with other kids, at pathfinders they got the opportunity to meet other children and look into there world as some children problem solved and others just looked around. I could see the sparkle in there eyes and others seem to forget a hard life at home, but for a couple days they all played and learned togthere as some forgot they had disabilities as the staff treated everyone the same.

They have a bed bug infestation and only tell you after they have exposed your child and they were bitten terribly!!

She enjoyed the rocket launch, stargazing, zip line, and the lift up into the tree. First true experience away from home without family like many others. She only had good things to say about the staff and food options. Luckily no bed bug issues like prior reviews. Shout out to Beatrice for being awesome with the kids! -2 stars for the bathroom/shower situations. It doesn't sound like there are many bathrooms for the amount of kids there. She mentioned some being clogged and feeling rushed due to several others needing to use the bathrooms. There were so many activities that she felt like there weren't many breaks to use the bathroom. In her dorm there were only 2 bathrooms/showers. They got back late after 9pm and rushed to squeeze people through to shower. People were barging in having to use the bathroom as others showered. Apparently the shower curtain was so minimal, another girl used an extra bed sheet to help create privacy, which all the girls appreciated. Maybe add a couple port-a-potties?! Might be wrong, but also sounded like not many trustworthy sources for water and hydration outside of meal time.

The staff was amazing! Patient, fun, and great with the kids. Lincoln, Scout, Spencer, and Steve were favorites. The food was easily the best camp food we've had. They had their day of helping with setup and cleanup which taught teamwork. Activities were nonstop fun with zipline, Skycoaster, rockets, stargazing, climbing, and even microgravity in the pool. The chaperone lounge with Wi-Fi, coffee, and snacks was a lifesaver. Big shoutout to Josh, the director, for keeping everything running smooth. AstroCamp has been an awesome experience both times. Highly recommend!

We loved the nature hike we had "Jelly" (a couple of our groups got rained out-obviously to no fault of the camp), we enjoyed archery, paint ball sling shots with "Stitch", painting wood necklaces, drama circle, and an amphitheater with breathtaking views of the the sunset. We loved our hike to the lake for canoeing. I too thought the pool was chilly but it was clean! Their swim rules seemed to be really intense to me. "No jumping off the edge of the pool" hmmm ok. In my opinion overly cautious. However, the Rock wall was a blast, equipment was in good condition. Hatchet throwing was hard, but fun. I wish the hatchets were sharp enough to grab the wood. It was rare anyone stuck one into the log rounds. Some combination of wood being too hard or axes not balanced correctly made that activity a struggle. We enjoyed trying. The team building activities were thoughtful and stretched our girls as individuals and forced team unity. Maybe my favorite part of all of camp. They lost a star for food quality and portions but the staff was always in good spirit. I also wish our group had the entire cafeteria to ourselves as we often were low on space at tables and often went outside as our designated seating was full. But the food was served on time and they got a lot of people food in timely fashion. They were organized. Our cabins were dry when it rained and i felt safe from the elements and wildlife that can live nearby. Some mattresses were thicker than others. I was comfortable enough for a week of camping. The plumbing struggled at times but not sure that was the camps fault or the 85 GIRLS who MAY have not disposed of things properly. Lol Overall I think with some retraining on camp cooking and a minor tweak here and there this would be a 5 star camp. The location was beautiful. The staff was friendly. The activities were super fun!

I had room for my family of 6 plus my grandma and my sister and her husband. The beds were queen or full on the bottom and twins on top. The mattresses are hard and thin but not too bad. They are covered in a plastic/vinyl so no bugs or anything. The walk in showers were hot! The big common building was really nice as well. The lake in the middle has a dock and my kids and some of the other nephews all played around it. It is also beautiful. I lived in Anza/Aguanga for middle and high school and this is a lot prettier. Huge trees and mountains all around. Gorgeous place for a wedding. At night, we had fire pits with pre-stocked wood that was restocked every morning.
