The staff was amazing! Patient, fun, and great with the kids. Lincoln, Scout, Spencer, and Steve were favorites. The food was easily the best camp food we've had. They had their day of helping with setup and cleanup which taught teamwork. Activities were nonstop fun with zipline, Skycoaster, rockets, stargazing, climbing, and even microgravity in the pool. The chaperone lounge with Wi-Fi, coffee, and snacks was a lifesaver. Big shoutout to Josh, the director, for keeping everything running smooth. AstroCamp has been an awesome experience both times. My daughter had an incident where a boy spat on her and her rage at him had her removed from camp at midnight only one day into a session. The camp kicks children out easily and forces immediate pick up. Cost for the camp do not make it worth the uncertainty of stable care. Be cautious when enrolling your neurodivergent children. Counselors are just barely children themselves and are not professionally or maturely equipped to handle so many young children at once.

Me and my mom went to Pathfinder Ranch for a few days in the winter for a field trip and it was so…read moremuch fun! First of all, our naturalists name was Kestrel. She was amazing and made sure that we were all having a good time. We did many activities such as archery and canoeing. All the naturalists put down very strict rules to ensure everybody's safety. Here is a list of all the activities our group did (keep in mind that the activities that your group will partake in will be different depending on what your school bought): making a fire activity, compass activity, night hike, shelter building activity, rock climbing, team challenge, farm, herpetology, mad science fair, gold hill hike, canoeing, horse back riding, and archery. This is the schedule that I went through. Lights on was at 7:00 am, but some woke up earlier to shower. Then breakfast began at around 7:30 and went until 8:00, then we went to do one activity with our activity group after a 15 minute break period. After that activity we would go to lunch from around 11:45-12:30 (I don't remember the exact times those are just an estimate). Then we would go do two more activities with a 15 minute break between the two. We would have dinner around 5:15-6:00. After dinner we would have 1 hour of free time to talk with our friends or go play in the rec room (you should bring a card/board game to play with your friends, I brought twister!). After the hour (so around 7) you would do a night activity. One example of this is the night hike. After the night activity, which is normally an hour long, we went to bed. Lights went out at 9! The schedule was so compact that me and my friends were never bored. Something was always happening, and you were always having fun! The cabin situation was as you would expect for 30 or so kids in one room. It was really chaotic. I would recommend bringing some ear plugs, because the talking was no joke. In the middle of the night it was funny, but once you had to wake up at 7 to go on a 3 hour long hike it wasn't anymore. In each cabin, there were two wings where students would sleep, with one chaperon sleeping area in the middle. Each wing had about 15 bunk beds. In each cabin there were also two bathrooms, which all contained three stalls, three sinks, and three showers. The bathrooms were very clean which I and everybody else who had to use them appreciated. Now for the food. For the taste, it was a hit or miss. Here is a list of some things that we were given (I might have forgotten some): fried chicken, pizza, burgers, tacos, barbecue chicken, pasta, brownies, cookies, and s'mores. The only two meals that I didn't like were the fried chicken and pasta. I did appreciate the salad bar that they had available for any kids who didn't like the food served though. They had a system of having a kid chosen everyday from the table to serve as the "waiter" (they were called a hopper), which I liked as well. If the pitcher needed refilling or there wasn't anymore food on the table the hopper would go and take care of it. Overall, the whole experience was super fun! Though I barely got any sleep, it was a small price to pay for all the fun I had with my friends. 5 stars, will definitely never forget!!

Our group went on a two-night weekend getaway, parent and child. I was very nervous before the…read moretrip. I hadn't experienced such a trip in the US. I knew there was no cell phone service at the camp, but you could get satellite reception and send a message. There's a phone at the camp for emergencies. The camp is in the mountains; you wake up to birdsong in the morning, and at night you enjoy the starry sky. A family of deer even came to our place for breakfast that morning. Activities for the kids (the adults joined in too) included canoeing and hiking up the mountain. Don't worry, the mountain isn't too high and the hike is easy, and as a bonus, there's cell phone reception. There was also archery, swimming, and art. In the evening, we had a wonderful evening with a campfire, singing, and roasted marshmallows. The staff was wonderful. Special thanks for the snack truck. It showed up perfectly on time, just when you were already thinking about grabbing a bite. Before you could even think about it, a car would pull up next to you and offer you a snack. The singing and jokes around the campfire were also wonderful. Unfortunately, I don't have many photos without other children that I can upload to my review, but I hope the ones I have help convey the camp atmosphere. Thank you, we really enjoyed it!

I value that the school follows a set curriculum and that my daughters are also learning Spanish. The structure is wonderful, and I appreciate how their learning at school reinforces the values and teachings we focus on at home. In full transparency, the beginning was a bit challenging. Since my girls were only two at enrollment, they were frequently sick during the first six months and missed quite a bit of school, which required me to rely heavily on my mother-in-law during that time. I also felt that the two-year-old classroom experienced a higher level of staff turnover, making it difficult to keep track of who their teachers were. That said, now that my daughters are older, there is much more stability in their current classroom, and they are truly thriving. I love the strong faith emphasis at the center, with banners proclaiming the Christian purposes of the camp. What a great place to come and spend time with Jesus -- or to meet Him for the first time! CAMP UNDER NEW OWNERSHIP!!! I've been taking my student groups to Camp Wasewagan for the past…read morethree years. We really enjoyed it under Crazzy's ownership, but it was recently sold to new owners who have done a GREAT JOB of making some improvements. Everything at the camp is wonderful, from the food, to the cabins, to the activities...the new owners have really stepped their game up! My group consisted of 35 teenagers and 5 adults. We were greeted kindly by the young couple who live on site (Sofia and Isaac), who were so attentive the entire time we were there. Sofia made so much delicious food for our group and Isaac helped run all the activities, including serving as the lifeguard. They were so good with my teens! The little touches in the dining hall are appreciated (nacho bar, cold drinks, ice machine, pool tables, etc). The adults definitely appreciated the free WiFi (they have Starlink!!) so they were able to get some work done while chaperoning the kids. As for the bunks, in past years at Wasewagan we've had to sleep on old, thin camp mattresses, but the new owners purchased memory foam mattresses for all the bunks!! WHAT CAMP HAS MEMORY FOAM MATTRESSES?!? . We loved it and I slept like a baby! The camp is LOADED with fun activities! My kids particularly enjoyed the bicycles, basketball hoop, volleyball court and the archery! (See pics) But without a doubt, the highlight of the camp was the pool! My students had a blast escaping the heat in their giant pool! Volleyball, bellyflop contests, and more! The pool is clean, refreshing and HUGE so it easily fits large groups! Other reviews have mentioned the bumpy ride into camp. The dirt road has a few rough spots and two river crossings. Mind you, I have a regular sedan and had no issues. I spoke with one of the new owners who was up there (Jeff, I think) and he mentioned that they are in the process of building a bridge over the river crossing and improving the roads so it won't be quite as bumpy! Again, the new owners really seem to want to improve the experience! As someone who's been to the camp for three years, I can tell you they are DEFINITELY off to a great start!! I can't recommend Camp Wasewagan enough! The staff is kind and work hard. The food is delicious! The beds are the best I've ever slept on at a camp! And the activities and pool are AMAZING!! Take your group here, you won't regret it!!

This review is to warn anyone…read morethat drives a sedan and not SUV/truck as i dropped off my kid and you have to drive thru two rivers. The one in picture in a past post is the easier one closer to camp. The first river tho is a danger, it is all loose big rocks and hidden dips. Water was not so deep but no flat grounding. I had a sedan and rock punctured my transmission pan. Now my car is stuck in big bear for few days at a auto garage to replace pan. Unless u have at least 8" clearance i wouldnt drive to this camp, wish i knew as its a costly repair and car stuck on mountain. I can give feedback from the girls as there was alot of complaints but really just wanna warn others in sedans.
